  • Amazing song!!!

  • we have this whole show up now.....

  • Ive seen em live a couple of times...lame. This song is really bad.

  • @123jp1000 micheal did a movie soundtrack?

  • I would love to Have rock Band Stryper On playstation I love the Band

  • How'd they get permission to let Robs drums in a church??

  • Sounds good!!

  • @tanukihat Cool story bro!!

  • @tanukihat

No-name band? Hardly. Get a clue.

  • @tanukihat

If the platinum-selling and twice-gold-selling band Stryper is a "no-name band", then I am Abraham Lincoln.

Platinum: To Hell with the Devil

Gold: Soldiers Under Command, In God we Trust

Tell me, sir, have you, who would know anything regarding music, ever written an album that sold over a million units? No platinum record in your name, hmm? How about half that? A gold record?

    What, no gold album, either?

THEN SHUT UP AND QUIT RIPPING ON STRYPER, YOU DAUNTLESS JERK!

    GET A LIFE!

  • @SignetArising Well said man stryper is great and if you dont like them then dont fuckin listen to them!

  • @tanukihat UR A FRIGIN IDIOT MORRON... THIS WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST BANDS EVER.... MILLIONS OF SOLD OUT SHOW ALL OVER THE EARTH... BILLIONS OF HITS ON YOUTUBE... SHUT THE FUCK UP ... I DK IF YOU LIKE IT JUST FUCK OFF IF YOU DONT BITCH

  • @tanukihat that's cool if you don't like them, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I like how you say they are a no-name band, but in fact are very popular in the christian music scene as well as heavy metal. Maybe you should pop out of the shell more and listen to bands that aren't "well known".

  • this is truly 1 of the great bands of the 80'snew album is steller, they dont push religion, they r positive. sad and tough even preachers were against them back in the day. this band stands for something and they can play with the best of them.crue,vanhalen. even if they werent a christian band they still would of made it big. when your good your good.

playing the LA strip aint easy,I REMEMBER when guns n roses opened for them.anybody who doesnt like them has never seen them live.

  • robert sweet plays it cool. sideways or not.

  • Why the fuck does the drummer set his drums up sideways?

    Retarded.

  • Why not?

  • Because the drums are designed to project forward. I think the better question is why? So we can all see the gayhole behind - or in this case beside - the kit?

  • The kit is miked so it doesn't matter which direction it is facing. So yes, it is simply so we can see the gayhole behind the kit.

The bigger question is why do you give such a toss? Surely you actually have a life!?

  • No, not really. I spend my days pointing out dumb shit on the interwebs. And this has always looked stupid. If the guy wants everyone to see him, he should have been a singer. Or maybe the accordian.

  • Wow! Are you really that stupid?!

For someone who makes shitty, b-grade promo videos, you really shouldn't be so critical of others.

  • @PolyQuasi u are a loser

  • @PolyQuasi umm you might not be the best to speak about the drums... obviously you don't know what the hell you are talking about and should probably keep that to yourself. the drums are not made to project forward. they are arranged to make playing all the different percussion components easy for one person to play. obviously drums are loud no matter which way you face them and any performance worth showing up to has mics on the kit.

  • Arrangement and design are two different things. You sure you know what you're talking about? It's the same arrangement only sideways, in this case. You can't tell me an kit facing the wall will not sound different from a kit set-up, you know, um, practically. Sure it's loud, but there ARE acoustics involved, even on a miked kit.

  • But all this is moot and none of which addresses the simple fact that Mr. Strypey Spandex here does purely out of narcissism. Why not face them backwards? Off to the side?Upside down? Wait. Scratch the last one.

  • @ackcsc cool down guys ;-) we don't need to argue 'bout this and that...not to forget that music is all about expression and artistry so no matter what their style and way of playing let's respect it. this is what it's all about...ROCK!!!

  • No its not!, ITS ACTUALLY COOL!!

  • wow, talk about EARLY Stryper!! Bob still had an X on his kick drum's head, from the Roxx Regime days!! thank you, very cool....

  • I realize Stryper oufits changed every year, I've never seen Stryper in 1984, thank you for the post.

I really like THWTD and In God We Trust outfits the best.

  • THWTD was almost the best album, if it wasn't for Soldiers Under Command.

  • Awesome! How did this not make it on an album? OId school Metal!

  • dude, i love this.

  • heavy song!

  • Thanks for posting this.Great vintage stuff...

  • I wish they usually rocked like this. I think it`s called Rock Band. I was there.

  • 777. great unreleased tune .

  • Reminds me a little bit of something from the band Icon, who had a really cool sound as well.

I agree, they should've cleaned this one up, & recorded it on YBA.

  • Whoa--you're an ICON fan? SO am I! "Night of the Crime " is the album I own. I got it from a college radio station that threw it out. But this is STRYPER's video, so I'll shut up about other bands. I luv this song. I saw Stryper -- 2009 in Cleveland in a cozy cave of a club called "House of Blues." They were in rare form, playing exceptionally well for Robt. being under the weather with a cold. God rocks!

  • Why the heck was this song never released? its freakin awesome!

  • que bata papa el mejor lejos

  • That has got to be the coolest church EVER.

  • Nah...as stated above in the description it was recorded on Sept 29th, 1984 at Calvary Chaple, CA which was the guys home church at the time.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this was @ The Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh Pa??? I was @ that show and I remember the ceiling tiles being out above the stage and that song that we never heard before......I was a photographer then....front row.Super cool vid!!

  • Extremely Cool!

  • Wow, Michael Sweet always knew how to work an audience. Such a natural talent.

  • nice to see stryper as a underground band.

  • Rock Band

  • this was recorded in sept 84 - well that would mean Yellow and Black Attack was already out but you're saying they were calling themselves ROXX REGIME here...huh ?

  • Roxx Regime was their original name. Check out Stryper dot com to order the The Roxx Regime Demos, it rocks!!

  • man!!!! Did u get this video??? es really great =)

  • OMG, it's the bumble bee suits in their earliest days.

I can't believe you have this video. Amazing.

  • Stryper has a new DVD out. Check Stryper web sites or check video stores. Live in Puerto Rico.

  • Anyone have a copy of the lyrics?

  • why wouldnt this one be on the demo cd?

  • Wonderful video, I'd never seen it or heard the song. Thanks for the posting :) I'd love to have those Jacksons and Marshalls today. A great band.

  • i am a big stryper fan, and I never head this song until I saw it here posted on YouTube. Great song!!

I am kinda suprised Stryper never really brought that song into any of their new albums as a remake or in any concerts recently. For such a good song, I wish they would. Stryper always will be my favorite heavy metal band.

  • Yeah, I was there. remember this well.

  • from the yellow and black attack years, ohhh

  • 100 % rarity. great!!!!!!

  • I haven't seen Robert's Chinese GONG in a while. Think he'll every sell it on eBay? :D

  • I have been a Stryper fan for 20 years and its good to hear and see something I have never seen before from them. Thanks for posting.

  • wow, this looks super rare! There stage looks way too big for the venue, lol...is the drummer's kit to the side cuz it doesn't fit the other way? In one of their vids its like this too...Jose, the drummer from Incubus also sets his set like this, kinda funny...

  • Hey there. Drummer Robert Sweet has always had his kit turned side on. He says it's just a visual thing as fans don't normally get to see much of the drummer.

  • dude, thats awesome, i REALLY did not know he did that. Up until this I thought the only drummer that ever did that was Jose from Incubus?...thanks!

  • actually they both are borrowing that idea from NIGHT RANGER's KELLY KEAGLY

  • AngryAgain - thanks for the info, i'm gonna check that out!

  • Stryper = ROCK. Enough said.

  • Que bueno, nunca me imagine ver este video

  • Good job, man

  • Caramba imagem muito boa!!!

  • Extremely Cool! =)

  • thanks man!

  • Huge video! thanxx for posting! see ya!

  • Perfect !!!!! put more video of the old Stryper , or Roxx Regimme .
