  • ehem i do speak french too and its also my mom's language so cant tell me anything

  • the part where it says hello helli t' est a.....that doesnt have any sense in french...its says ele o ele i t ah

  • @JoanneCheer it says L O L I T A and not ele o ele i t ah.

  • @inTHEgap05 errr if ur pronunciating it says that....and besides do u speak french?

  • @JoanneCheer yes i do speak french, thats my mother tongue. so its what she says u can trust me

  • @JoanneCheer in french, it means : L O L I T A

  • love how i discovered this song in my French I class, the teacher sure had some good taste

  • sypiam na dworcu :)

Cool song =) French language is beautiful...

  • sypiam na dworcu .. tyryryry..

  • its french?

  • @xXcartooncrazXx

    Bloody hell......

    no it's arabic

    jesus dude.....

  • Ona sypia na dworcu?!

  • aw it sounds so sweet and innocent in french but in english your like was this girl on acid

  • "Quiet and don't tell mom that I'm just a weird Chinese"......... LOL.

  • Whoever Made this Needs to Be Worshiped.

  • isnt Lo a demon in that one movie?????

  • Isn't J'entends - I get along

So J'entends tout autour de moi - I get along with everybody around me or something? Sorry if i'm wrong

  • C'est un interessant chanson et j'aime des paroles

it is and interesting song and i like the lyrics

  • i meantt chinesee

  • @Hdancer17: Chinese IS Asian...

  • @Dollutz i know.

  • i would never tell my mom that im a weird asian either(;

  • lolita c'est mon prénom alors oui c'est un prénom ^^

  • lolita est un prenom --'

  • "Hello helli te's a" is the spelling of the word L-O-L-I-T-A, it's not meant to be translated as you have attempted :)

Common mistake though, I see it a lot.

  • I am Chinese descent and I do feel weird.

  • t's not my fault

And when I give my tongue to the cats

    I see other

    Ready to pounce on me

    It's not my fault

If I hear all around me

Get it right anyone who knows basic French knows that "Chats" means cats before I watched this video I knew the chorus was relating to a fault that wasnt someones fault and something about a group of cats and I only learned French and UK GCSE level..... Grrr Rant over. Good song tho : )

  • SHUT UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC..!!!!!!!!!!

  • !!!SUPER!!!!

  • WRONG TRANSLATION

  • what does lolita mean?

  • @ktcsca like a really sexy young smart girl

  • @ktcsca Hey ! Lolita is a Franch name. And a lolita is also a young girl (about 14) who wears women's colthes, who wants to be an adult ... I searched on the net, and they say that lolita means jailbait in English ... I don't know if it's the real translation ... Hope you understood my bad english ... (:

  • I love this song! but what does it talk about? I don't understand French, not even a bit

  • @LcnLmg Try reading the English version... Idiot It's right there on the screen... even if it's not completely accurate...

Someone used Google to translate the song.... Not a great translation, but at least somewhat close....

  • lol im just a weird chinese

  • J'aime cette chanson!!!

  • bleus de methylene = blue of methylene

colereuse et pas = angry and not (like, she's angry but she's not at the same time)

a weird Chinese???? where did you get that from????

  • I suggest some things:

    1) quand je reve aux loups, c'est lola qui saigne = when I dream of wolves, it's lola who bleeds

    2) j'ai un fou rire aussi fou qu'un phenomene = I've got a crazy laugh, as crazy as a phenomenon

    3) when she says lo de vie.....it's like a word game here....I noticed this, because l'eau and lo sound the same, so l'eau de vie makes sense, unlike "lo".....so it would be the water of life

    4) quand je donne ma langue aux chats = when I give my tongue to the cats

  • translation is not perfect, but the sense can still be understood by those who don't ubderstand french.

I understand french so it's somehow easier for me to read french lyrics in this song rather than english translation

  • Lol! A weird Chinese?

  • When she says : " Collégienne aux bas bleus de méthylène " she means : " schoolgirl with blue methylene stockings "

  • I love this song *_*

  • Cette chanson, c'est tant de souvenirs, c'est toute une partie de mon enfance :)

  • I think "et quand je donne ma langue aux chats" means "and when I give my tongue to the cats"... Either than that, I LOVE IT!!! Awsome song +Awsome lyrics vid = EPIC WIN!!! =D

  • me encanta esta melodia

  • I love this song, first heared it when I was just 10. I didn't know what it was called.

10yrs later I finally found it. wooo.

  • Je m'appelle Lolita = My name is , or, they call me

  • surely 6 people meant "Dis I Like" instead of "dislike".

  • i dont undersatnd a word :PP

  • lolitaaaaa

  • La reprise de Julien Doré est 100 fois mieux !

  • I'm called Lolita ne veut absolument pas dire Je m'appel Lolita, et j'en passe...

  • Good effort...Say my fault not my mistake.

  • moi je suis lolita !!! toi?

    super !!!

  • it's shitty that she's a stripper bitch, and that lolitas AREN'T sluts! so why the fuck should she be called lolita if it's a style, and she ain't wearin' it! otherwise sounds great!

  • @YoYoSlowmo troll. Lolita is referred to a character from a book by Nabokov. It's not a style.

  • @Ambrozija13 "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta." -Nabokov, Lolita.

That was one of my favorite lines from his book. I love the way Nabokov writes, its just sooo... clear. It's like how the world looks on a cold morning: with details are so sharp you can almost cut yourself on them. But he doesn't flood the reader with them like Steinbeck does. Here's to you, Nabokov!

  • @Nyxlave Nabokov is brilliant, but Steinbeck's writing suits me better. Just today I'm starting 'The Winter of our discontent' :D

  • @Ambrozija13 Correction, both are right.

Lolita (fashion) is a type of dress fashion. It looks like it is made for little rich Victorian girls.

Lolita, as in the book by Nabokov, is as stated before, is a character.

If you don't believe me about the fashion you could always go Google it. Just put fashion or dresses first.

Hope this cleared up things up a little :D

  • @KittehBear I didn't say it doesn't exist, I just said in this particular song, the singer refers to the book, not a fashion style. ;)

  • I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG...IT SOUNDS...VERY NICE...THANKS FOR POST IT...

THE TRANSLATION ISN'T TOO BAD.. I THINK YOU DID A GREAT JOB. .. :)

  • i loveeee this songggg..........<3<3

  • this is my favourite song too ;)

  • @BlushyLolita95 LOL thats why i made it ^w^' I knew you would now who i was when you saw it \(>0<)/----

  • bonjour! je'mappelle Marie. comment ce va?

  • I love this song <3

  • great job! i love this song!

  • @BlushyLolita95 YAAY! I know who you are!! \(>o<)/----

  • Its stuck in my head >...< <33

  • I've been looking for this song for a long long time ! *-*

  • love that song although i cant get the song right but still love it!

  • Nice... :)

  • *giggles at the "weird Chinese" bit* "Fault" and "mistake" are similar words, but they have very different connotations--mistake means accidental, fault doesn't necessarily. I <3 this song. And that I can sing along and make...well, FEW French pronunciation mistakes lol, good to know all those years were good for something. ;-)

  • i haven't listend to this song for ages...

    nostalic feeling

and the weird chinese was awesome!

  • im in 7th grade been taking french at school since august 17th of this year, and i totally understand dis stuff!!!

  • @mylove1398 Really? That's great! I've taken French every year since grade 5 (with the exception of last year), I'm in grade 11 now (grade 10 French) and I barely understand a thing she's saying.

  • @SunnyHappy2008 This song is really hard to understand because of all the shortcuts and unused words in it(sentence constructions that sound weird combined with rare words).

  • @SunnyHappy2008 what the fuck are you doing in your french lessons? i#m having french the 4th year now and i understand everything she says^^

  • weird Chinese? :))) that was funny...

  • @maxrimas ching chong yongs

  • Many thanks for taking the time to post this with the English lyrics as well. It's easy for people to nit pick, but as far as I'm concerned it's very helpful to have even a rough translation. :) So thanks again.

  • Damn French is so hard hahahaha..I was pretty good at it at school lol..but we have very good French lessons here in the Netherlands but this is way to hard =P

  • @CountygeneralER I took french for fkin ... 4 years, I somehow managed to pass the class, but it never stuck in my head, it's really weird. I guess it's not for everyone. Italian and English on the other hand = really easy.

  • @LightYagame100000; hahaha I was the best of my class and I really enjoyed the French class but I can't speak French that well anymore =P

English is pretty easy yes..here in the Netherlands they show every movie or series in the original language so I've heard English for allmost al my life. Only cartoons are translated in Dutch.

  • jadore

  • the english translation is completely wrong!

  • @bgjuju What is the english translation because I really want to know...I love the music to it but I only know the basics when it comes to french lol

  • LOL(ita) @ weird Chinese

    nice song :)

  • Je suggère que vous utilisiez un traducteur. de sorte que vos traductions soient exactes.

  • @roskurr28 Most of the times a translator gives a much worser translation than my own translation, although I didn't translate it myself, i translated the dutch translation from the song into english. (sorry my French isn't good enough to answer you in French)

  • Comment removed

  • @roskurr28 Je suis totalement d'accord! Il rend les choses beaucoup plus facile! Pouvez vous s'il vous plaît utilisez un traducteur lors de la prochaine s'il vous plaît? Merci, Briquetta

  • Where does Chinese come in at 1:37? It would be Quite, and don't tell my mom that I'm weird/ strange...

  • It would actually be it's not my fault, but awesome! Tres bien!!!

  • "donner ma langue aux chats" isnt that meaning "losing my tongue" not knowing what to say anymore or im i wrong...

  • @vistadecosta No, it would be give my tongue to the cats...

  • @pinkluchiakaito reeeeeally???? lol

  • God her voice is so sexy and seductive when she says "lo-li-ta"

  • I love the song!!!

  • putin elle est trop bien la musiqueeeeeeee

autrement dit pour les english :

shit she really good the song!!

  • the line "When wolves ravish my dreams, it's Lola who bleeds" at the beginning would be a reference to her losing her virginity.

One more thing, sorry to nit pick, C'est pas ma faute means it's not my fault

  • Ok thanks =) I'll edit it later, but It's not my fault is almost the same as It's not my mistake, isn't it?

  • @Avantixi Well not really. It's not my fault is a phrase that every french person learns from an earky age, even when it is your fault. Basically you don't want to lose face wgeb proved wrong, it's a cultural thing. If you want more accurate translation I can email it to you. There aren't enough characters to do it here

  • @Avantixi Kind of, but "it's not my mistake" sounds kind of...I don't know, awkward? People say "it's not my fault", they don't say "it's not my mistake".

  • @Avantixi It is, you may as well just leave it because they are just nitpicking :P

  • One correction in the begining a more acurate translation would be "When I'm ravished in my dreams it's Lola who bleeds."

  • nice video!
