Looking at the results of Super Tuesday, John Edwards made a huge mistake in quitting. Neither Hillary nor Obama is looking to break out, and it would have been a three person race right down to the convention. Short of the presidential nomination, he could have gotten himself anything from a cabinet position to a vice presidential spot on the ticket, and been in a much better chance of helping the people than he is in now.

It saddens me to see Edwards dropping out. I blame the media for failing to give him equal coverage like they have been doing for Mitt and John. On the democratic side, I liked him best. On the republican side, I still support Ron Paul, but I worry about the media doing to him what they have done to Edwards. I encourage all to protest (non-violently) the media. Many ways to protest, just remember, each of us needs to be heard!

I'm an African American who was hoping John Edwards won the Democratic Presidential nomination. Hands down he was the best candidate for ALL THE PEOPLE. I don't understand why any Middle Class or Lower Class, especially the poor wouldn't vote for Mr. Edwards. He was the only one who wasn't being sponsored by Pharmicutical or Banks. Yes, there are African Americans who aren't voting for Obama just because he's black. As there are woman not voting for Hilary because she's a woman.

You can tell how could a candidate is partly by how quickly the MSM blocks them. Edwards was partly blocked out by the MSM. Kucinich and Gravel were blocked out completely much sooner. Mike Gravel does not have any other seat to defend, and if he was going to leave from being blocked out, he would have done so already. Gravel will stay in, he will not quit on us like Dennis and John, and he is our last hope.

I had that same impression when I originally heard it. The deck was stacked against John in this campaign. The DNC was not behind him, the media certainly didn't give him equitable coverage, big pharma and the insurance industries certainly weren't going to contribute to his campaign. And sadly, those who John fights so passionately for are unable to provide the financial resources to keep him in this campaign. Only history will determine exactly what was lost yesterday.

As a German, I have to say that I would have liked very much to see this good man as US President. I feel that he cares about ordinary people in an authentic way, probably because he had to work his way up himself and knows what it's like.
Unfortunately American democracy has once again proven how hard it is for a candidate who takes on corporate interests to be successfull. Therefore, I just hope that Sen. Edwards continues his work in behalf of ordinary people in some other form.
