  • What realy happened. I live in Hawai'i and admire the Tongan people and their Monarch. Our Hawaiian Monarch was overthrown buy sons of missionaries that came to Hawai'i. Now Hawai'i is an illegal occupied state by the U.S.A. We Kanaka Ma'oli o Hawai'i want our Kingdom returned to us. But it is hard these dayz with politics. Please let me know what happened. Mahalo nui loa and may god bless the people of Tonga. Aloha.

  • It is very educating to see Tonga is a part of the world we live innn..!!

  • Life needs to be so much simpler. We as a people of the pacific, went from self-sustenance, to poor and dependent. We have fertile land, and abundant ocean - why are we starving?

  • Your right about that! You see more and MORE chinese, taiwanese, japanese, all over in tonga. Tonga is our island founded by our great great great great grandfathers and mothers, and to sell it out for greed and paper is sad!

  • omai uma kagata koga e susu le ulu a la'u mea..vaipato tell ur mom to suck mah dick bitch lol here u are still running ur mouth, tryin to defend ya tongan people..fuck yo people and yo couch hoe lol ufa uma kagata koga !!!

  • fuksiko fuk u!! dnt tlk shyt u dnt no nadaz!! ai ha tae o tapuni aki ho ngutu!!! osi taimi ke tai'i koe ke pihi ho mimi!!! go buy sm toilet paper frkn pala hoho lafa lizard skn!!!

  • Foreign analysts estimate that nearly one-quarter of Tonga's 119,000 people live below the poverty line and the economy depends on international aid and money sent home by citizens who have emigrated to New Zealand, Australia and the United States.

The November 2006 riots broke out five weeks after the succession of the bachelor king, who had been widely seen as a playboy crown prince.

  • se ufa uma koga...alu e ai le solofagua lol sorri folks i jus wanna say i luv tenga people oi i mean tonga pplz

  • e faiseko lea holea'anga he mimi mo'oni!!! alu o kai ho fa'e!!! damn u tlk shyt alryt newsflash bitch tonga dnt live 2plz u!!!

  • Karma? Don't take this up on Tonga just because Tonga once dominated Samoa before. Samoa is like Tonga's other brother from their Poly mother-nature. Lol!

  • empressoceaneye you need to learn more about Tu'i Manu'a and how he was the first ruler of the pacific. Tu'i Manu'a ruled Tonga and many other islands. Your Kings are descendents of Tu'i Manu'a.

  • Fair enough, but I still don't see why you have to make a big fuss out of it. We're islanders, coconut climbers, warriors, fishermen, survivors, we're all human! We're all descendants from someone who ruled someplace, are we not?

  • empressoceaneye true.

  • Thank you SacTownUso.

  • So do we call it a truce or do you still want to carry on making a fuss?

  • empressoceaneye truce my Tongan friend.

  • Cheers to you my Samoan buddy!

  • empressoceaneye thanks man.

  • Yeah God does have a plan for this nation! (Destruction) Thats what Tongans get for talkin hella shit about Samoa! Samoans never talked shit about Tonga shit we even let ya come and live in Samoa. Karma is a mothafucca feel me!

  • Samoa is split in two. Each being run by a Palangi. Are u still proud to be Samoan ?

  • vaipato its funny you say that. American Samoa even though its US territory still keep it 100% Samoan. Western Samoa is independent run by Samoans. Samoa till this day are still very cultural. If you think about it the Traditional Tatau has been performed in Samoa for over 2000 years. Tonga lost their tatau because ya listened to the whiteman.

  • If your arguement is based on a tattoo and your culture's priority is the peka tattoo then you are just like the rest of Samoa. Majority of Samoans base their culture on Dance and TATAU... I noticed that. That Sactown uso, is not a rich culture, if that's what you like to boast about!! hahahahaha. u wanna prove a point with a stinking TATTOO>. gimme a break !!! LMTAO (laffing my Tongan ass off!!)

  • vaipato is Samoa still run by palagi's? LMSAO how can you talk so much shit about Samoa when Samoa is where Tongans came from.

  • SacTown: Regardless who's from where. Bottom Line: Tonga RULED Samoa as well as many other Pacific Nations/Island Groups!! That's all I gotta say.

  • vaipato and you also know that Tu'i Manu'a was the first ruler of the pacific. Tongans admired how Tu'i Manu'a ruled. The Tu'i Tonga's were all descendents of Tu'i Manu'a meaning that Tu'i Manu'a has been ruling the pacific since the beginning of time.

  • only parts of Tonga were descendants of the Tui Manu'a. Not all. This is because one of the Tui Tonga kings were married to Samoan women and settled in Samoa.

  • Malo Aupito for putting this great video together. Tonga is such a wonderful place. I think she is going through some growing pains, and ultimately God has a plan for this nation.

  • Thx I love this video. I lived in Tonga for a year when I was 10. I stayed on a small island named Kotu about 12 hours by boat from Nuku'alofa.

  • Thank you for the touching video...we have never visited the island....would love to go back and see the family...one love to all back home!! Could you send me the video in windows or moviemaker format so I can load it onto my ipod, please and thank you.

  • Hi Islanddhlee, what is your email address, I could send it to you.

  • @islanddahlee what do you think now? Nearly 100 people drowned in a death ship which was authorised as sea worthy your murderous government. The Attorney General had to resign and return to New Zealand, because you're Tongan government would not prosecute the murderers of these beautiful women and children, and babies in the arms of their mothers who will never see another blue sky. Now is the time to riot, to rebel and to fight for your freedom against this criminal class

  • ...For GOd lives!!..and even though i may not be of tongan ancestry, i feel for the hardship and pain that the kingdom is going through!!>.god take the WHEEL!!..much respect!!

  • My heart goes out to all the innocent people of Tonga. It is unfortunate that they have must live in a beautiful place, run by a corrupt government and a GREEDY ROYAL FAMILY...I pray for peace and for equality amongst all tongans regardless of who they are..

  • oish fobbed out...lol...naw but i hope everything turns out good back in Tonga. i love my people !

  • bout time the people got heard! and it wasn't racism ('worldeleven2003') it was a backlash from a corrupted government selling visa's, citizenship etc to the chinese under the table. buring their shops was worng but thats what it was partly fueled by.

  • I agree, it has been swept under the carpet for some time now. I believe, Tonga will not be the same again after 16/11.

  • Gday Gday Mate was so touching wat do you mean Im in tears right now,I miss Tonga the way it used to be I pray and Hope to GOD that same day it will be the same..But I just wanted to say thanks for making that lil flash..

    Ofa atu and god bless

    Lubica

  • I am gald you like it, yes Tonga has changed, and has lost it's innocence. But hope it will rebuild back to the old days.

  • Touching vid. It's difficult to get a feeling of what really went on down there. Thanks for the insight.

  • Well, what was a peaceful pro democracy rally turned into a riot. The tension has been building for a while now between Tonga's feudal system where Nobility and Royalty rules 100,000 subjects. It is a sad story for the Pro Demo Group because it just widened the unity of change. To choose the lesser evil, I choose the present system! Long Live the King!

  • Nice Video....Peace to all the people of Tonga!

    Feleti..Favona NZ..

  • PEACE IN THE KINGDOM, is essential!

  • Take

    Our

    Nation

    God

    Again

  • I second that fully!

  • Prayers will help this Kingdom for peace and a little of common sense.

  • Idiots, Democracy does not loot, democracy does not kill and democrazy is not racist towards chinese or whites. Remmeber, the Kindom of God is not a democracy.

  • masii kakai tonga kuo ongo mai ki langi homou mamahi pea kuo mau ilo homou palopalema...mou foki pe ka Sisu nae tuku kiai e fonua ehe uluaki faa kae nonga e mamahi kuo tau ausia...
