Emmy, no one is suggesting that you should not give in the US. Do both. The great commission is to go into all the world. Too only give at home is a mistake and to only give internationally is a mistake. Do both. Give until it hurts. It will be the best thing you ever did.
This is all fine and dandy, and all but you are making a suggestion we should stop donating in our own country and start giving to other countries? Have you take a walk down the backstreets of detroit? Or through the homeless shelters of Michigan??? Can you see how seriously full of people they are? Wanna give to a charity? Give to the kids that matter, OUR kids!!! I'm sorry these children were sold into slavery and all that, but we have to take care of our OWN country FIRST!!!
