    Stunning horse =D

  • What does a double dilute produce when crossed with a grey? My mare throws nothing but grays so far!

  • @equinesport - If your mare is 'homozygous' grey: has 2 copies of the grey gene, she will ONLY produce grey, no matter what color stallion she is bred to. This is only possible if both her parents were grey. Grey is dominant; if a horse 'carries' grey, it IS grey - but can be confused with other colors/patterns like 'snowflake' Appaloosa. A grey horse can be born any color or pattern of the 'equine rainbow', as grey works on the 'base' coat color - but it will fade to grey. Hope this helps!
