  • Are they from marshall's farm ?

  • @Transfusions No, as far as I know we don't have Marshalls in England. They were from a small breeder who kept ferrets for a hobby.

  • Oh this is fabulous! I am assuming you are clicker training? Kinda makes me wish I had a ferret to work with again.

  • awesome training...loved it:))

  • Super cute video! I never thought to try and teach my guy Taz any tricks....you have inspired me! lol! He's a smart little boy, I bet he'd pick it up pretty easy..

  • This is fantastic. Are there ferret HTM competitions, as with the dogs? I am so impressed. Always knew they are clever, but this is so brilliant.

  • aw cute very well done :) what treats are u giving them?? i love the dog is joining in too so cute! i hope he gets some treats too! awsome :) xx

  • hey fruit loops or anything closely related are very good treats for ferrets my ferrets luv them also u can try peanut butter or bananas hope i helped!

  • Gotta love it when you get to the point to where they start the motions of the expected command in sequence before you even point them to do it. That's how you know they've got YOU trained properly. ;)

  • 1:50 the dog also spinned XD

  • Thats awesome! I have two ferrets of my own, I can not imagine being able to train them to do that! Wow! How did you do that? Clicker training?

  • thats prity good iv just got a 6week old polecat

  • That is brilliant! :D I have 4 ferrets of my own (and 3 Border Collies).

Just wondering, what treats do you use to train them?

  • Oh My God, do you have any idea how many people on You Tube own ferrets AND Border Collies, they must be a good match. I do.

  • I love ferrets, but my husband won't let one in the house...too many other critters already. Maybe one day....

  • you have learned it well :) how long about did it take you to teach it to roll over or stand up? can u learn them that at like 3 month old?

  • WOW amazing, you should send the vid to some of the hollywood animal trainers, I bet you'd have a job! Awsome ferrets!

  • GRATE!!!

    i love ferrets!!!

i would like to have one, too. :)

  • muy bueno mi compa

  • nooooooooooooooo! i miss the song by stones!

  • yeah, me too! It got taken off because it was copyrighted so I had to choose some non-copyrighted music to be able to put the video back on. I think this gives it a bit of a comedy feel to it though! Makes them look quite patriotic (even though they're English!) Shame though!

  • That is brilliant!! I miss my ferrets :(

  • wow ferrets are amazing

  • we tried teaching our ferrets... lol... they're too spoiled... can't help it... they too cute...

  • wooow, that is amazing, i never knew they were so intelligent!

    Good work!

  • lol ur black and white ones lookes like a theif lol

  • WOOOOW

  • Aww, they have a really cute walk/run :)

  • aww, it's videos like this that make me wish I still had me ferret :(

  • i love ferrets they always ignore me lol i have 6 its a pain in the ass trying to control them so i just let them do anything

  • how long did it take to teach them the various tricks? I have been able to teach one of mine to stand up on his hind legs, but thats about it. We are working on rolling over but it is tough!

  • Cute

  • That's brilliant! Wish my babies would do that!!!

  • heh...he just wants that damn food your hiding =P

cool ferret other than that xP

  • Lindsay is a good name for a ferret...and his family name can be spears...

    lindsay spears is my ferret....

  • I added this to my favorites and I watch it every o often - it still amazes me. I could probably do the paw trick and roll over, but HOW do you get them to circle around the stick and your legs?!

  • that's pretty impressive stuff!

I have trained my dogs but wouldnt have a clue how to train my 4 ferrets! They dont seem to have a clue whats going on!

How on earth did you get them to be so responsive, mine love to ignore me !?

  • Thats so cool u got dog and ferret to do trick at same time

  • absolutely amazing...How long did it take for you to teach them all of that?

  • WOW!

  • Nicely trained!

  • woooo! good job!! very nice rutiines!! :)

  • excuse me but i was wondering wat treats ur using to train ur ferrets? i have to ferrets and i want to train them but they don't seem very interested in any treats i have bought for them which makes them hard to train...any advice?

  • They eat dry ferret food, so I break it up into tiny pieces and give them that. Sometimes bits of fish, meat, etc too.

  • @JLord12 Usually raisins, they just LOVE those. Thats just my guess.

  • did you see the dog AND the ferret doing the same trick and the same time? Adoreable!

  • nice ferrets tricks!!! :D

and one question... who plays that song in background!? :|

  • the song is "Paint it Black" by the Rolling Stones

  • Fantastic video! I never knew ferrets could be trained like that.Well done!!!

  • That really cheered me up!! Thanks!! They're lovely x

  • where did the come come from? teleported!? :}

  • wicked film!! how u teach tem tricks?? in france you can buy one from 30euros to 300 euros crazy ha.

  • That's adorable! And I love how your dog started doing some tricks too. So cute.

  • SOOOOO CUTE!

  • dry kitten food or treats

  • Help me teach my ferrets??? please?!?!?! this is an awesome video by the way!!

  • I love this video... I have to ferrets of my own ..what type of treats did you feed them?

  • They eat dry ferret food, so I break it up into tiny pieces and give them that. Sometimes bits of fish, meat, etc too.

  • I love the `panda` coloured ferret best......lovely video

  • Ferrets! Love ferrets!

  • Love ferrets hoping to get one soon..does any1 kno the name of this song?

  • Paint It Black. I think this is the Rolling Stones one, but someone did a cover and I haven't listened to either in a while.

Those ferrets are very talented! I wish I could have one, but they're too expensive!

  • EXPENSIVE! Where do you live? In Britain they are free to good homes! If not about five pounds each!

  • I'm in Maryland, USA. They're like 150 dollars here.

  • Blimey! Unfortunate, so many need good free homes in Britain! They end up in rescue centres and nobody wants them!

  • HAHA don't feel bad! I live in Newfoundland, Canada and baby ferrets cost about $500!!

  • so cute!!!!i want a ferret

  • Amazing!

  • YAY! those are some SMART ferrets! and adorable (=

    i want a ferret.

But my parents say they smell too bad.

and the ones at the pet store do smell. But are they always that bad?

  • na thats y my parents didnt want one but now i have one and the pet store has more than one and there in tanks witch hold the smell in so if u get one and have a cage it really doesnt smell all that bad:)

  • an aquarium is actually pretty bad for ferrets, its unsanitary, has bad ventilation and can cause respiratory problems

  • exactly

  • You must love your little ones. All I can get is roll over so far with my little one.I know that you must spend a lot of time caring for your little ones and they must be very happy to have you are play toys!!!Plus Wonderfull vid.

  • holy crap that rocked :O XD i want ur ferrets!!!

  • Loved this video - your ferrets look very healthy & happy, I've got 5 ferrets & am going to see if they would enjoy some of this! Big applause to you, lovely work!

  • Getting a ferret to sit still long enough to be trained seems like quite a task :p

  • smart ferret. so cute lol. im gettn 1 2day. the raccoon patternd 1 is awsome

  • Wow, this is amazing! I like the dark ferret, it's beautiful!

  • Fantastic. We have three ferrets, and I believe they are one of the best pets you could ever have. Your ferrets are fantastic!

  • Ferrets are so cute ^^,

I had 11 ferrets through the past 12 years. The only thing I managed to get my ferrets doing is standing on their back legs :P If I did something that they did not wanna do, my feet where killed :P

  • No ferrets do not smell that bad!!!My friends rabbit smells worse!!!If you get them neutered they dont smell at all :) I have 2 ferrets!!!!!!!!!They are such cuties!!!If you change their cage every day they will be fine!!!

  • yes when they get older

  • I want one, but my mom said they stink really bad, is that true?

  • o...my...god.SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE... MUST... HAVE...

  • Fantastic! I've thought a ferret would be fun for a while, but hadn't thought of how much fun training one would be! My Border Collie would be very jealous!

  • get a ferret, ferrets and Border Collies are a perfect match.

  • about how long did it take to get to this point?

  • tis not tricks, they just go for the treats

  • yeah but its still really cool! its basically the same with dogs anyway, they associate the trick with the reward they get.

  • Wow. I can only imagine how long it took to train it!

  • wow aww there so cute me mum wont let me get 1:( lol

  • Wow that is amazing. Are you using a clicker? That's what I use with my parrots. In any case I'm impressed!

  • good boys!! muy lindos!!

  • this is some crap, I'm watching this, and I look over and my ferret is asleep and falling down the ramp in her cage... thats it, first thing tomorrow, she's learning some tricks!!

  • Fantastic!! I realy look whit open mond!! Great job! I hope that my ferret will learn triks too. X

  • LOL so cute, i have a ferret to, if u want to se him take a look at my page!

  • Brilliant.

  • lol this is the same song from taledega nights! i love this song lol

  • I've always been amazed by ferrets. Are they easy to deal with?

  • What a champion. I have a Border Collie too and my ferret is a sable but a lighter shade than yours. He walks on his lead really well but can't do any tricks yet. Well Done, very entertaining.

  • To train any animal you have to treat it with patience, understanding and compassion. Get into their mind and use only positive reinforcement- never hit. XD

  • how do you train your ferret to do stuff like that? mine doesn't pay attention to me for more than a minute, than he just wanders and jumps around me dooking or w/e when i try to get his attentoin. we just got him maybe two weeks ago, i got him to stop biting but thats it

  • FUCK IT'S GREATE.... :O) what do you give them when trey do its reite?? hope you understand :o) (I'm from Denmark)

  • They eat dry ferret food, so I break it up into tiny pieces and give them that. Sometimes bits of fish, meat, etc too.

  • This is the BEST video yet I have seen here! I'd love to train my ferret but she doesen't like the regular ferret treast...and ideas?

  • um I dont know if its safe so you should ask a vet but I noticed that my ferret will do just about anything for some twizlers. within moments of one falling on the floor she had stashed and eaten a good portion of it.

  • ok i don't know what i am doing wrong but my ferret isnt learning any tricks she keeps attacking me by hand or foot and doesnt seam to want to do anything else treats dont seam to be working what am i doing wrong she was born at end of feb this year is it to early?

  • and i think to myself.. what a wonderful world

  • Great job! I guess you CAN train ferrets!

  • awesome!!!!!

    my eyes are stunned ...

    8D

  • i once had 2 - one was mean, the other was nice. the mean one got jealous of my cat and stopped eating, and the nice one lived -- to do *no* tricks but just be funny & bounce around. i miss him :( like the vid

  • omg TEACH ME YOUR SECRETS!!!

  • omg! that is so cute! how long did it take to teach/learn?

  • I'd say it probably took about 1 week of 5 mins per day to teach one 'trick'-on average! Some things took longer and others shorter. Frazzle (white one) generally took longer to learn than Sonic too!

  • This is the best ferret video I have seen yet! My ferrets couldn't do that, I think they're too old. I'm ratin' it 5 all the way!!!!! XD

  • my ferret won't do shit! i suck

  • so cuuuuuuute

  • that was fab, i knew u can train ferts but never thought u could get them going that well, mine are taught to come to me and stand up but never thought to train them other stuff! WEL DUN U!!!!

  • i like the part with the ferret

  • Hello fellow american

    Giuliani is out of control.

All we hear from him is 9/11, but do you remember Rudy before then?

    WE sure do.

Check out what our fellow ferrets are saying about him:

Just Search for nyferrets on youtube

    Yours truly,

    mike

    leader of the ny ferrets

    member of ferrets for freedom

  • I'm surprised they can still move with all the treats you're giving them >< Nah but that's really cool, I never had the patience to train mine other than not to bite my hands or nose =)

  • well done i think you have worked well with them and they sure love you

  • Yeah, you feed them anything with high protein content, they're carnivores. Alot of people make the mistake of feeding them cat food and they get sick if thats all thats in their diet. Very cute ferrets! Wish i could teach mine tricks... well, other than ripping the soles outta my shoes. He looks so cute doing it though ^^;

  • thank you very much.... ;)

  • does somebody know the name of the song ??? I must have it !! :)

  • Its paint it black by the rolling stones

  • OUTSTANDING!!

  • I love ferrets but I already have a dog and I'm not sure if she would like it if she had to deal with two lively ferrets stealing her food. :) But I clicker train her for tricks too :)

  • What are are you feeding your ferrets? As their normal diet and as a treat? Whatever it is they love it. I would love to train my boys and girl to do that, thats awesome and your a wonderful trainer!

  • i got mine for 10 pounds

  • nahh i got my ferret for 50 dawgg. lol Yeaa he died =[

they are very clever n playful anddd fun!! u eed them meat

  • i want a freakin ferret. r they expencive?

  • Yes, they're quite expensive and require a lot of work. If you're thinking of getting one, just do plenty of research beforehand, kay?

  • (warning unless you know your ferret well don't do this cause they may have your lips off i know, my friends tried doing it once and he got a love bite) im trying him to roll over at the moment but his neatest trick is stealing my sister shoes and hiding them round the house lol

  • I have two ferrets of the same colour but im guessing by there size yours are both male. My albino is a female and my sable is a male, her son. I'm teaching the son tricks at the moment, as his only just come upto a year old so he still has a playful side and finds it hard to concentrate sometimes. And as his mothers in season she has other things on her mind. Mine can stand on commant (mostly hand signals to anyone) lol spin around and give kisses too on command

  • my dream woman

  • AWESOME! My favourite part is at the end when they stand up - SO cute! I've had ferrets for years but have never trained them to do tricks - that was very impressive!

  • Wow this is really awesome, that must have took quite a long time... Have you trained them since they were pups? Mine are 3 and 4 years now, but maybe they can too after training. Ferrets are never too old to play /train!

  • Baby ferrets are kits not pups.. they're not seals lol

  • I only started training them when they were at least 3 or 4 years old. I don't think they're ever too old to start training.

  • That was awesome!! Kudos! From one feret owner to another- that must have taken quite a while!

  • Great job!! You have a lot of patience...you should be a professional animal trainer if you can train ferrets...I thought it was big deal to train my cat to rollover!! Peace!!

  • WOW... I saw this video and got a ferret treat and a ferret and had her follow the treat through my legs....she did it but my other ferret Zaphod wasn't having it!!!!

  • very cute, and the music was great to go with that. wish I could have a ferret...

  • That was really impressive. I watched it twice. I love it! You guys did wonderful work with those ferrets, and you've inspired me! lol Keep up the great work!

Off topic, but shehallionwolf your net speak makes me want to strangle myself.

  • thats cool you can teach ferets tricks (my feret looks like the white one) ^.^

  • Your ferrets are about a million times smarter than my fat lil tard ferts. Cuuuuuuuute.

  • What patience you guys must have, I have ferrets and love them dearly, but they are just not that talented or maybe I'M not! You have very beautiful animals, be proud!

  • "Yeah, they seem smart, but can they poop in corners like my ferrets?"

  • I keep watching it and I keep being amazed.

  • OMG! How adorable! This is great! I love my ferrets, but I can't imagine them doing this (they're either too lazy, or in the case of one of them, too smart... LOL).

  • SO cute! Those ferrets look so happy with their mouths full of treats!

Great job, they look excellent. :D

  • Great video!! Excellent job on training your ferrets!

  • I cant get the dog to do it

  • awesome video i own a ferret and all he does is sleep and eat and is overweight lol

  • WOW! It's amazing! I'm also a ferret owner and I have no idea how did you do that... Congratulations ^_^

  • Brilliant! Good to see someone training an unusual type of animal- people are always surprised to see my dogs and the cat all sitting and lying down on command at the same time. Do you do canine freestyle? I've got a Border that I do it with! (Lovely border in your other video, btw)

  • Awesome! Great time and effort you've put into this training it seems. I wonder if I can start training mine the same way...can you teach an old ferret new tricks? :D

  • This is great. I would LOVE to see you develop this to one cohesive performance without any video cuts. Keep up the excellent work! So cool!

  • This is great! I am very amazed! Congratulations!!!

  • I own 4 ferrets and they just know their names and sit up. I am simply amazed. props to you. Could you tell me how do you get them to do several of those tricks? Just treat guidance? Was there a website you visited or a book you used?

  • Thanks for the comments. I'm afraid I didn't use a website or book but although they learn slower than most dogs, the training principles are the same: lure, reward then work on fading the lure. Teach in little steps and I think a clicker would probably speed the learning up too.
