@2pacowtlos See that depends? After the first month of 'dicking around' the main feature of any phone i end up using is the Camera.... and the Iphone Camera is terrible, in fact unusable for those essential 'in da club' low light pictures of your mates & birds etc....

So for me the iphone fails before we even mention the Iphones extortionate price, Restrictive networks, no video calling, DRM issues, can't mp3 a ringtone, worse aspect ratio, No Fm radio, No free navigation etc etc....

Errr the N97! its not a 'bad' iphone but make sure you keep the software upto date as symbian can be a b**ch, did you look at the iphone 3gs? you also mentioned the speed of the N97, it has the ARM 11 434 MHz processor, The iphone 2G has ARM 11

412 MHz, the iphone 3gs has ARM Cortex A8

600 MHz. It is great to try something different, have you got it for 18 or 24 months?

The reason it curves out is so when you place it down on a surface to watch video with the screen up, the phone is perfectly level, this is to compensate for the pertrusion of the camera at the other end. I have the N97, but for some reason I cant transfer my music unless I bluetooth every song individually. Im also hoping some better apps come out soon.

I got the N97 in the house and an iPhone 3GS and the 3GS is just so much more of a joy to use and it's just great. If Nokia included 600 MHZ processor in the N97 along with 7.2MPS HSDPA support here for the states, I'd jump on it. But right now it's more of a competitor to the iPhone 3G indtead of the 3GS

Nice! I've been thinking of getting the n97 too. Try burning all your purchased music and then rip it again - that stripped the DRM and you should be able to transfer them onto the phone (though you probably already know that).

Danny, I've also been looking at the Samsung Omnia HD - do you have any ideas on that? I love the oLED capacitive touch-screen and 720p video recording, but then I like the nokia for the quality camera, even though it records at VGA.
