I have a 65 SS I'm working on. If you type Roland's 65 Impala SS you will see it. I like the many different styles you went with over the years. I think I my get a set of Supremes now. I really liked that retro look. I had Supremes on a 69 Riviera and they looked great as well.
I had a stock 65 Impala SS back in the late 1980's. With a 327, Rochester 4bbl and aluminum Powerglide it was just powerful enough to make this large car be fun. Believe it or not it handled quite well through mountain curves. I drove it back and forth over the Ortega Highway (74) too many times to count. I had to sell mine when I couldn't keep it at my parents house. I sold it and have been kicking myself ever since. This is a well engineered car with beautiful styling Thanks for posting this!
