@Ares99999 Sengoku isn't scared. However, he isn't stupid either. He knows that fighting 2 yonkous in a row will completely destroy what is left of marineford. He also know that shanks isn't like most pirates and that no harm can come from just listening what he has to say.

Fear or not. Shanks words alone were enough to stop Akinau and everyone else from continuing to fight the war.

They may not be scared of him but they know what a yonkou is capable of

I also think that Sengoku, unlike Akainu, has respect for his enemies and therefore agrees with Shanks. Also, he's smart enough to avoid anymore mindless bloodshed. Coby's speech might have had some effect on his decision too.

Actually we really know almost nothing about him and his power but it's quite clear that everyone usually think twice before face him (from blackbeard to sengoku, from whitebeard to akainu). I think that after whitebeard's death shanks is going to have a bigger role to play.
