Your vids are super helpful! This is probably a silly question, but can you jog with this stroller? I know the baby jogger website says it's not intended for "running," but hey, they also say not to hang bags from the handlebar, and that works out fine ;-)! Can it handle it if I go for light jogs?
We brought this stroller in june this year and we love it to bits we have our second child on the way and have brought the second seat as you need the frame for the bassinet and we are also going to buy the capsule to go with it. we are so excited about using our pram as a double. we love this pram so much. you will need to buy the brackets/ adapters either separate from baby jogger or buy the second seat, to make it into the double you need the brackets/ adapters
Hi Holly!! I have a question... I already have a maxi cosi infant car seat for my new born and I want to use it as a double for my new born and toddler. Do I have to buy the second seat in order to put the maxi cosi seat near the handle bar and the regular seat in the front? Or can I just buy the single and an infant car seat adapter to use as a double? Thank you so much for all you do!
@mrslovinglife2006 You are totally right that the older videos don't have the best video quality. We changed our camera awhile back and you will notice that our more current videos have excellent quality. Thanks so much for your comment!
Hi, I'm kind of on the fence between this and the britax b-ready. Is this stroller able to fold in doubles mode like the britax b-ready? I live in an apartment and have 3 children under 4 with limited space, so I really need it to be able to fold and unfold to go in as little time as possible.
@mesosmokey I'm in a similar situation: was looking at the Britax-B Ready as well and was wondering if this one could fold with the second seat attached. I found another review that shows that it can, in fact, be done but it's a bit bulky (on youtube at "letsgostrolling" for BJCS - skip to 6:00). I really like BJ's strollers - i have the City mini (didn't expect to have to change to a double 12 months later tho :P) and I love the way they work. Still deciding! Good luck!!
@MOMATL YES. I just bought this stroller and have been trying to figure out the same thing. I have a very tall 2 year old who will ride in the front (was worried his head was going to be hit by reclined rear facing front seat). My 2 mo old will ride rear facing and reclined. It is not perfectly flat but slightly angled much like a car seat.
I love this stroller. I have a 3 year old and a baby on the way. I would love to purchase this stroller, my question is do I have to get the jumpseat to be able to use the car seat adapter? Or can I use the seat that comes with the stroller and just purchase the carseat adapter?
I plan on getting the jumpseat later on but I'm just a little unsure about the inital purchase. Thanks for any info provided
We have a 7.5 months daughter and I am debating whether to buy this stroller (BJCS) or the UppaBaby Vista. I like the fact that both are suitable for grass and uneven terrain and have a bassinet option for a newborn (child number 2). What is your opinion comparing the two side by side and which would you go with as a single right now and eventually either converting to a double or using with a bassinet? Thanks!
We are having our first baby in May and I am interested in this stroller (BJCS) and the iCandy Apple. I like the fact that both can be converted to doubles and really love all the features of both. What is your opinion comparing the two side by side and which would you go with as a single right now and eventually converting to a double? Thanks and love your reviews!
@harleyrider5620 I LOVE the iCandy Apple but it's just too heavy (especially in doubles mode!) for me! It's a super well-made, sturdy stroller but it weighs 32 lbs as a single and 44 lbs as a double. That's HEAVY! Plus, I don't like that everything has to be removed from the double (iCandy Pear) in order to fold it. I don't have that kind of time! So, I would personally go for the BJCS. Hope this helps! - Hollie
@BabyGizmoCompany Thank you Hollie! That helps a lot! We are going to be first time parents and all of the choices are overwhelming. People have told us they wouldn't go with a travel system to begin with if they had to do it over again, and others said they love theirs. We were thinking of going with something like this stroller with a car seat adapter and thinking a year or so ahead when we have another we can buy the double seat. We are wanting only one stroller instead of 2or3. Any advice?
@BabyGizmoCompany i would like to know can u use the same seat and just get the second seat bracks to fit seat on with as i want to use a carseat and carry cot but need to use a seat for my toddler
@bizkits16 Both are great strollers! It depends on if you like a tandem or a side-by-side stroller better. I think the Bumbleride has roomier seats and is easier to push. - Hollie
This stroller actually don't show much safeness and even the visor couldn't protect the whole baby from sunlight or rain... There might be some other good jogger stroller out there.
I just bought this stroller and am eager to use it. So far, it's a charm. The basket is HUGE and it moves pretty easy. The only thing I'd prefer is a single hand fold and maybe if it could stand upright when folded.
we just bought this, and it's amazing! it's definitely heavier and it feels a lot bigger than other strollers though, but the double seats and the shopping basket underneath are just amazing!
This is the coolest stroller EVER. A friend just purchased this stroller, she has a newborn (car seat adaptor) and a 21 month old. She is in love. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet. My fiance and I will buy something like this when we start our family, as there is no point in buying 3 different strollers over the course of our children's ages. You can also buy a glider board, although it's max weight is the same as the seats! The company did an excellent job building this one!
I love the look of this stroller but not sure about the leg room offered. My son is a large baby and is well above the 97th percentile for length at 1yr old he was 83cm (32.7 inch). The seat foot rest length looks quite short, can this be adjusted? At what length do you think I baby would be come too "tall" for the seat and become uncomfortable with legs dangling below the foot rest or knees to bent?
Also, the seat back is 18.5inch, when you raise the canopy is there a "gap" or is there material? If a baby was bigger than the tiny 18.5inch back support and fell asleep would the babies head fall back over the back of the seat? Really appreciate your time answering these questions (this pram is not yet available in NZ)
Thanks @JaydensMommy141. I think you are right--we live at the end of a short gravel road, and I think we will have an easier time with the Select. I also think getting the Select into the Honda will be easier since I can take it apart (just the frame) if I have anything else in the trunk. I'm a little concerned about the weight (pushing it around with it loaded it down) and the seat height, but I guess I'll take the leap of faith!
Ok, so I saw this in the store today and am in love, just want to make sure. When my baby comes, by toddler will be 27 months old (size ~50th percentile). I'm also thinking about the City Mini Double, which I cannot seem to find for a test drive anywhere in the Seattle area (any tips?). My concern with the Mini is that it won't fit in our Civic, but my concern with the Select is that it will be too heavy to push and seats will be small as the kids grow. Any thoughts?
@pisastero I also live in the Seattle area and checked out the city select at Merry Go Round in Bellevue. They had a lot of other strollers on display as well. I'm not sure about about the city mini since we didn't look for it. I would pick the city select over the city mini because I love being able to have the baby face me and I love big tires. The wheels on the city mini are tiny.
I am in love with my new BJCS!!! It is an awesome stroller. I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old and they both fit great in it. I love the versatility of it and all the positions. It's like riding in a different stroller everytime. My 2 year old always tells me which way he wants to ride and to to position the seats. The foot rest is adjustable. It has 2 lengths. I have it on the short one for the baby and tyhe longer one for my toddler and it's perfect. The buttons are the side of it.
I really appreciate your thorough review - now I read somewhere online that the seats cannot recline in doubles mode - please tell me this is a fallacy!
@lauraluyt That's not true. Like she said you can take both seats and do whatever you want with them so long as they are secure and the seat switching is done without your kids in them. :-). My wife and i bought this stroller today and we have a 2 year old and a 3 month old and we found TWO configurations which allowed both of them to be very comfy for sleeping. One of these modes had both of them completely flat.
Isn't the footrest on the BJ City Select a bit short? My 2.5 year old is tall for her age, and the bottom of the footrest hit her calf. That seems extra short to me. Odd they would make it so short if they are giving extra height to the canopy. Maybe I didn't adjust the footrest correctly when we tested it out? I really wanted this to be our stroller.
@randyr2000 you probably bought a stroller already but the footrest DOES seem a little small, but considering the versatility of this stroller I can understand why.
We decided before we bought it that we would ignore the footrest issue in the wake of all the other awesomeness of this unit. Our 2.5 year old doesn't even put her feet on the actual rest, but prefers to have them dangle. She puts them in the rest if they feel like they are going to fall asleep.
I am debating between this stroller and the bumbleride twin (i have the single...) which one do you recomend more. we do disney, malls and just around southern california stuff. My kids will be newborn and 20 months old. Thanks so much!
Great reviews. Is it possible to use this a double seat pram such as: toddler facing forward in front and an infant facing mum on top and flat recline position?
@fiveunited did yuo ever figure this out? i'm wondering what the best configuration is for a 6 month old who needs to recline and a toddler. Without the toddler kicking the baby!
Hi Gina, No, the second seat adapter is a separate adapter than the car seat adapter. If you want to use a second seat and a car seat - it's two separate accessories.
I am trying to decide between the baby jogger city select and the bumbleride indie twin. I will be ordering one of these strollers, but no store around me sells them so i will be buying it with out seeing it!!!! My main concern is seat size.....my 19 month old is 35lbs and 90cm tall....which stroller do you think he will fit in the longest?
I am trying to decide between the baby jogger city select as a double and the icandy pear. I will have a two year old and a newborn. Do you have a video review on the icandy? The seating options are better on the baby jogger but the icandy seems to push easier and be shorter.
I am expecting twins and have been doing a lot of research of different strollers. There are not too many that actually allow for 2 car seats to be adapted. Right now we are deciding between this one and the Preg Pro duette. We live in the country so will be used on gravel roads. Any advice or recommendations?
If you are deciding between the City Select and the Peg Duette, I would definitely get the City Select! The Duette is much, much larger, heavier and harder to maneuver!
Thanks appreciate the advice. Any other strollers you think we should consider? I was looking also at the Valco Ion but only can adapt one car seat so not sure how practical that would be with twins.
The Valco Ion is a great stroller as well but probably not as practical with twins if you want to use two car seats. There are not many high end strollers that accept 2 infant car seats. Off the top of my head, the iCandy is the only other one that I can think of besides the BJ City Select.
Hi! Just letting you know of the new Stroll-Air My Duo which accept TWO infant car seats! Hollie just did a review of it. Check it out in the Baby Gizmo reviews. Looks like an amazing stroller!
I'm will be a first time dad in just a couple of months and I started doing research on stroller Sunday night. I found your site and these videos and I couldn't get to sleep! I must have watched 17 of your videos in a row! Keep up the good work! I wish you and your family the best. P.S. This is my new stroller.
this looks great as I am planning on having more than one child. Would you recommend buying a potential double right away (such as this one) if you plan to have more kids? Is it worth the extra money? What exactly does this stroller come with and do we know what it retails at?
If you plan to have more than one child, I think it is a great idea to get a stroller that has the ability to become a double! Then you can eliminate the need to buy a whole additional stroller when child #2 comes along. The City Select comes as the single for $499. Cup holder, car seat adapter, bassinet, rain cover all is available as accessories sold separately. The 2nd seat kit is $159, car seat adapter $59 and bassinet is $89.
I wish this stroller were out when I had my first child... I never would have need to buy another stroller (well, except for a jogger or another TYPE of stroller to have more than one stroller anyway)
NOTE: The double conversion kit pieces ONLY come with the second seat purchase (not with the bassinet/car seat adapters)! If you plan to use a bassinet with the toddler seat, 2 bassinets, infant car seat with toddler seat or 2 infant car seats - you MUST buy the second seat kit! You will need those adapters! At this time, Baby Jogger does not sell the adapters separately without the second seat! If you are going to use the City Select in doubles mode, you have to buy the second seat kit!

Can the kids lay down in it? Or how much can it be bend down?

NOTE: The double conversion kit pieces ONLY come with the second seat purchase (not with the bassinet/car seat adapters)! If you plan to use a bassinet with the toddler seat, 2 bassinets, infant car seat with toddler seat or 2 infant car seats - you MUST buy the second seat kit! You will need those adapters! At this time, Baby Jogger does not sell the adapters separately without the second seat! If you are going to use the City Select in doubles mode, you have to buy the second seat kit!

Great Review Holly. I loved seeing children in your stroller review to show parents how big this stroller really is!
