I play 6th string open, 3rd fret, then 6th string 5th fret, 6th string 3rd fret again, and 5th string 3rd fret. For the chorus, I go 5th string 3rd fret, 6th string, 3rd fret and open 6th. I know its wrong but it sounds like it and it works. :)

There is not a right way to play something...you can find the same note on the neck in different positions...i prefer to play this song in first position with a little bend of the g on the third fret when i play the g chord(without the b on the second fret acdc style) ...but is up to you

You have it right mostly. On the original studio recording, however, when you go back to G its just the single note. so its like this...

It's funny that all ppl that start off by saying the song is easy to play, usually play it wrong. Your chords and their progression are correct, but you play the G and A chord the wrong way, which makes it much harder(if not impossible) to make it sound right. It's true that this is a fun and easy way to start playing the song for a beginner. But don't call it easy unless you can play it right. ;) Keep Rockin!
