  • so you control boba fe......i mean this red dude, going around blowing stuff up?

  • Only $3 on gog.com.

  • The controls in this game are so, so bad... Wow.

  • As with No Remorse several months ago, this has just been re-released on Good Ol' Games (GOG.com) today for 6 bucks! (It also includes some bonus content, including plot and script texts, history and lore texts, wallpaper and artwork, etc.)

  • QUE BUEN JUEGO!! CASI INFINITO Y CON VIDEOS REALES UNA MASA LA VERDAD

  • QUE BUEN JUEGO!! CASI INFINITO Y CON VIDEOS REALES UNA MASA LA VERDAD

  • QUE BUEN JUEGO!! CASI INFINITO Y CON VIDEOS REALES UNA MASA LA VERDAD

  • call me crazy, but this game reminds me of MGS!

  • i see GOG.com have no remorce i wonder if they will add no regret later i never played this one

  • @dave00dance They just put it up today for $5.99.

  • @gnarkill87 thx for the scoop i'll head on over there

  • I got this up and running in virtual box. Is there any reason why the controls are so awkward? Or is that just how the game was written. At the moment I'm using keyboard numpad because the mouse is barely usable.

  • @RikusLategan No, the controls are just genuinely terrible. I have no idea why they chose the control scheme they did. They can be reconfigured in some emulators like DOSBox, but it's a real hassle. I'm tempted to pick up a 360 wired controller and use JoyToKey just to play these games because I really want to like them.

  • Please god! SOMEONE REBOOT THIS SERIES IN HD!

  • Christ, I remember having the demo of No Regret., It contained every weapon and a shortened version of the story (3 levels or so) and it was still the third best ever game I've played.

  • You're a master killer :-)

  • Does anyone remember an easter egg room on this game where there was a ton of ammo / weapons to pick up and a strange cutscene where you'd fight like a demon / Diablo ish looking character??? Can anyone find a video of that for me or confirm it was this game that it happened on? I remember it vividly but can't find it anywhere! Thanks...

  • @CPUT99 It was the moment you needed to mine the mine. When you see a walkway and the place where you need to put the mines. You can also get up on there. THere will be a pentagram on the floor. (I will try to find it for ya).

  • @CPUT99 i only remember, if you entered the cheatcodes that worked in the prequel (i think it was "jassica16" or "jessica16"), you were teleported into room with multiple endbosses...

  • @SiLeNCel2 and christmas music was playing too! :D

  • Suach a great game, one of the best "oldies" i ever played!!

  • this game is compatible now on XP, Vista, and 7 and you can buy it for 5.99 at gog.com Good Old Games!

  • Wow, the graphics are dope, didn't expect it to be that pretty.

  • Coolest thing is that Crusader shares a universe with several other Origin games. Tri-Optimum from System Shock was one of the mega corporations that merged to form the WEC, and No Remorse came with a WEC periodical that mentioned SHODAN and Citadel. Also, in Wing Commander's backstory, the Terran Confederation replaced the WEC after the war ended.

  • Hi guys, i'm playing this game on my Mac OSX using dosbox, it works fine except that i cant save my game. Whats the command to save?

Does anyone know what is my problem ??

  • i miss the cutscenes. wish someone would upload those too.

  • he looks like a red clone trooper, but cooler

  • this game looks pretty cool,

  • i got the game boxes but my CDs are GONE :(

  • 0:30 BARREL ROLL

  • will this run on windows 7 without a full DOS kernel?

  • @bigblockelectra It won't run natively in Windows. You can play it by using the free DOSBox program (do a quick Google search).

  • @bigblockelectra you can buy it on GOG for 5 dollars, and it will run on win 7

  • ........This game is fucking brilliant!

  • NO REMORSE. NO REGRET. NO MERCY!

  • this game is epic!

  • Great Game!

    Brings back good memories!

I almost freaked out when i played it on christmas...and the background music changed to jingle bells! : D

  • I got mine working too, love replaying this great game... best thing about this game (besides the music) was how you could interact with your environment, shooting chairs and other things to reveal secrets.... top notch for the 90s!

  • one of the best game series ever made sucks that they didnt make anymore of these

  • reminds me of loadrunner

  • Find the Computer Room!

  • sweet looking game. The hero guy looks like a red Boba Fett. I know the original was on the PS ONE and Sega Saturn, but not the sequel. Will Dosbox will work with Windows 7?

  • @TargetRender

Yes, it runs on all Windows versions since XP and x86 or x64 - should be no problem. I'm playing Crusader on Windows 7 x64 with DOSBox and it's flawless.

  • Oh how I recognize the sound from 2:06 from Lost...

  • The only flaw I could attribute to this game is that sometimes the screen just doesn't orient properly so you could see all the threats. However, the game relies heavily on strategy instead of action, so most of the time one finds the concept to work just fine. Control is a bit messy at first, but with time you could really benefit from the game options to the fullest.

This game is one of my finest childhood memories, and I intend to get back to it as soon as possible. The newer games just suck

  • Wow I remember playing the demo of that game a lot! It was so cool. He actually looks a lot like a red Clone trooper :)

  • The message i'm getting when i want to play\install the game is "load program failed - error code 30"

  • Wonderfull video, please tell -me how you run this game,i played it long time ago in my 486 2xtimes and i REALLY want to play again but i'm not getting any luck even on Dosbox, please can you help-me?

  • Damn, I'd love to see a top down remake of Crusader. That'd be a definite buy for me.

  • ...yet another classic that DESERVES a modern hi-res remake.

  • i loved this game so much as a kid back in nine six i still have some gruesome drawings/comics i made back in the day based on this game! the animated cutscenes were epic too. with Origins gone is there no chance of another sequel or remkae to this classic series?

  • One of my all time favorite action games. Well ahead of it's time in game play and visuals. Saucy, you my friend are an amazing player.Great job on this video man.

  • I'm not into action games too much, but I love both Crusader parts

  • Hell, you know how to play Crusader.

Too bad that there is no music playin´it with dosbox.

  • I had music with Dosbox.

  • Do you use Windows 7?

In the Crusader setup I can configure the sound and stuff and I can hear the music in there but not in the game.

  • Nah I played it under WinXP back in the day.

  • Graphics remind me of Fallout

  • the music is hardocre. Real fucking 80-ies headbanger!

  • How do you type commands in this game?

  • The character in this shows quite a lot of similarities to the one in Ultima 8: Pagan.

  • I remember very well this game, I played it a lot, great atmosphere, great gameplay for that year, great game!

  • Aside from rare yet awkward platforming bits, I enjoy this and No Remorse.

  • lol this is a cool game for 95's

  • I remember trying a demo of this or No Remorse... didn't really get the game so i pretty much just played for a minute at most..

  • Nice video, I finally got mine up and running. That part aroung 1:34, for me I get no access. How come after controlling the robot, your panel is accessable?

  • You need to move the robot over a secret floor plate. The game gives you two subtle clues:

    1) The plate isn't properly aligned with the rest of the floor.

    2) There's an elevator sign on a wall near the plate.

  • @saucykobold

    Cool, now I see.

Are you playing strictly with a keyboard or in combination with another device. You make the movements looks easy.

  • They should get this on steam.

  • @tHecOmMeNtErSrEtUrN

    GOG.com has it.

    And I will buy it

  • One of the best games ever made. Are you playing this on Vista by any chance? I'd like to fire it up and give it another spin if possible.

  • I'm playing with the Dosbox emulator. I have XP, but Dosbox also works with Vista.

  • Huh? When why didn't this show up when I did a search/ Had lucky I noticed this while watching a No Remorse playthrough

  • damn...i miss this game. i played it when i was 7... :D

  • Niiiiice! I've wanted to see this one

  • KILL ALL THE CIVILIANS SHOW NO REGRET

  • my favourite game as a kid... although i was too young to understand the storyline and mission objectives etc, was still enjoyable thoo

  • You're awesome. :|

  • I remember i was a little kid and playing this game. My uncle installed it on my dad's comp, taught me how to use DOS and other stuff. It was fun as hell, i thought its like best game in the world at that time.

  • same story with me xcept it was my older brother

  • Why the hell did EA put Wing Commander on Xbox Live Arcade, taking a huge dump all over a property that can't work in that format, when this was available? This would be pretty much ideal for an Arcade title.

  • Well played. Unfortunately I can´t run this with DosBoxx...

  • yes you can; do the this

    mount c c:\dosgames(change this)

place your cd in the drive

mount d f:\ -t cdrom (change f for your actual cd-rom drive); them just type d: hit enter and run the installer

  • how do u play this now? i cant run it since it needs dos =/ lol

i miss this game SO much =]

  • Check your inbox.

  • thanks =]

  • Is there anyway to play these games on my laptop now.? I found these games the other day but it wont run on my laptop...from what i can remember it requires DOS to run....is there any way round this on windows Vista???these games are absolute classics!!!!

  • Do a google search for "dosbox."

  • Okay, I'm sure this is asked all the time... I used to have the CD, found this game on the Net, but I can never get the cinematics to run... I'm using DosBox, so didn't know if there was some trick to making them work, or if we need the actual CD...

  • Then You have a ripped version. The original weights about 600MB. The cinematics are on the CD, and the normal game requires the CD to play. Since i should not advocate "piracy", i advice checking up on EBay, it surfaces there often, and is quite cheap. You could also wait for GOG to re-release that game. Too bad they don't do physical products, a Crusader box on a shelf is an instant respect artifact.;)

  • Oh this is a REAL game, and a sure classic, 2D and has more action than a lot of modern 3D Third person shooters. If they Only remade it by putting on better graphics, would be a HIT.

  • The two games were and are pure epics.

  • Crusader is still one of my faovrite games of that era. I remeber getting back from school to play it on my Dad's 486 as a child.

  • i have been looking for AGES for this...

    damn good times

  • is Crusader: No Regret the second game?

  • Yes.

  • This game gives me a thought. If Fallout was in real-time it would be very much like this game.

  • Such a GAME, i played on my 486 dx 66,but i never been able to play again...someone can help me out???? I want to play this game again!

  • Comment removed

  • What engine was this built on? Kind of looks like Ultima VIII, the way he jumps up those crates at the beginning was the same animation.

  • Good eye. Both Crusader games use a modified version of the Ultima VIII engine.

  • Ahh.. great game! Wish I could play it again. Great job posting this playthrough. Would have been just a bit better if you didn't skip the cut scenes :)

  • Memories! Is there anywhere where I could download this and manage to run it, relatively easily? If you could give me some advise, I'd be most greatful, man.

  • that thing in front of that machine you blew up at 4:16 was that a power up?

  • After I destroyed the wall-mounted gun, something fell to the ground; is this what you're referring to? It's not a power-up, just part of the gun.

  • Wow... your more merciful then I was when I played the game.... I killed everyone, even those who surrendered.

  • Now I feel stupid for pawning the disk. Anyone here know where to find a copy?

  • I think Ebay is your best bet.

  • have you tried the intertubez?

  • I have, and it seems Ebay might be my only option,ut half the time you end up buying something for more than it's worth there.

  • amazing game

I used to play this all the time

  • I still have an old Crudsader-No Remorse game from MS DOS. I loved that game but I can't play it anymore. Did they ever make a game for windows?

  • None of the Crusader games were designed for Windows. Fortunately, there *is* an easy way to play these and other old games on modern computers. Google "Dosbox." For instructions on getting it up and running, google "Echo Sector." This Crusader fan site has a tech support forum with a stickied Dosbox guide.

  • Finally there is a solid walkthrough for this awesome game.

You rock at this game. Seems like you can memorize every bit of the level.

  • Glad you enjoyed it!
