I recall a BBC radio feedback comment from a listener who'd heard the cauliflower episode and asked why the Beeb was putting this sort of rubbish on. Well, I am sorry, but if there are people who can't see what's funny about Count Arthur, I can only assume they have had a severe sense-of-humour by-pass operation or were brought up by very strict nuns.
Very unique class of comedy, absolutely unsurpassed in my opinion, the more you listen the funnier it gets, I'm working my way through the 5 seasons for the 2/3 time, and the difference with this is I can listen to it over and over and it doesn't lose comical value! I understand there's a sixth season made just last year, I hope there's a 7th!
It seems if you have six thumbs down, my original comments are no longer visible to me and anyone else on Youtube. I may be wrong, but I can't see them.
All the while, Count Arthur Strong continues to prosper and dismay.
Roughyed7 where's your sense of humour? what makes you laugh looking in the mirror i presume ! if you can't appreciate a comical genius there not much hope for you. more money for the BBC top brass they deserve it for giving us The Count Arthur Radio Show. More please BBC.
I agree! It's good to see the BBC still know what humour is. I mean, it could be worse. We could have to put up with more Johnathon Ross! Thank goodness he's gone.
This guy is a road hazard. I'm usually driving when he's on radio 4 and he makes me laugh so much I nearly lose control of my car and have an accident ... which is very irresponsive, irritat.. IRRESPONSIBLE by the higher echelons of the BBC and they will be hearing from my solicitators if something like that was to happen .. which it hasn't so I don't know why you keep going on about it and wasting my time like that. Oh, where was I? See what happens when you go interrupting all the time.
The funniest man on earth in my opinion... and I agree. How can anyone NOT get his humour? He's priceless!!! I started his fan club on Facebook if you're interested!
I've listend to his radio shows while welding cars together on a production line, with tears of laughter running down my face.Superb!Get him back on the radio!
Too right - I've had to walk out of my work at times, fast replacing Billy Connolly as the mainstream comic favourite in the whole factory, here in Glasgow!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I've listened and listened, but I just don't get it. All he does is subsitute a similar-sounding word for the correct one. It's basically a series of less-funny Spoonerisms.
MALAPROPISM - that's the word I meant to type a year ago! To be fair, Steve Delaney is very good at it, but not in a funny way - to me, at least. I am glad, however, that other people find him funny. We need more humour in this world. And as I have said before: Each to their own.
And don't get me started on Eastenders. It should carry a mental health warning. One reason why I DON'T watch it.
BBC Radio 4 is repeating the second series now!It begins airing in the 6:30 Comedy slot, from the 20th November 2007! Hilarious!!
New series coming soon! Third series will begin airing on 28th December 2007 in the 11:30am to noon slot, then on Fridays thereafter for five weeks! Yipee!
At the risk of thrusting myself forward in an unbecoming manner, and hogging the show - a further comment. In search of all things *Arthur* I uncovered some *blogsworths* who didn't find the Radio Show funny?? They have obviously had their collective *funny-bone* surgically removed! I'm delighted I no longer have to rub-up against such po-faced and joyless individuals, at Tesco, etc.- I have people to do that for me! If life is "The Theatre of the Absurd"
Adored Arthur, your Radio Show has brightened the darkest of days at Castle Von Bruhl. How wonderful to see a fellow member of the aristocracy doing so well!
Someone tell the BBC to repeat Count Arthur's second series!
Genius comedy !!!

Winston Churchill, Jimi Hendrix and now Count Arthur Strong. Is there no end to God's creativity?

Clearly, BBC Radio 4 is hankering after some lost era by giving airspace to this opportunist nobody.
How on earth can this crap be considered to be funny?
Don't we deserve better from our obscenely paid management of the BBC?

ACIPPICO, When ignorance is bliss it's folly to be wise. Please stop watching Eastenders before you lose your humour all together
