Is that behind the high school? I tried over there recently but didnt even get a bite. Water was dead too, couldnt see any fish activity. maybe to early in the season for this spot? When to my old spot and 3 in a row lol
Catching carp here Is ridiculously easy. But bigger carp are the challenge. :) If you notice I'm fishing this spot in DEAD WINTER. When I fished 92 Straight days this winter. 245 fish. So you were definitely not fishing there to early in the season..lol Maybe tactics, Check out my other carp videos. You gain a lot :).
Yes i will definitly be carp fishing in winter too. Well i see you talk about the hair rig and the slip sinker and swivel with leader, i was using the same thing except one rod with popup imatation corn. Even Put method on every cast and was fishing with a budy so we had 4 rods in the water.LOL! Very strange. Yesterday i landed a 23 pound carp in my spot so i dont know !
I love it George! You are a true angler - fishing like you do, everyday in the cold, cold winter of Chicago. The river is essentially my backyard, yet I can hardly get out to shovel snow, let alone go fishing. I hope to see you out on the water when the weather warms up. Keep up the good work!

we had them jumpin everywhere fat like that, When I used to live on the wye river. I caught one! It was so ugly to me for some reason? They are heavy and put up a fight makes them fun to catch. What are you using for bait? maybe I'll try my luck here, it's about time for some fishing I'm getting bored. Anyway good show man, keep up the angling!

Nice Common Carps! Like you, I love catching them. They put up a huge fight. I fish for them in spring and summer.
