If you're in a situation when you're drunk and you only have a short distance to drive (one kilometer or so), then you may be TEMPTED to drive because it COSTS both TIME and MONEY for a taxi, then some INCONVENIENCE to retrieve the car when you're sober.
This commercial shows you something can go WRONG, even if you've got only a few minutes of driving - potentially making you THINK TWICE b4 drink driving.
You don't have time to be scared when you first go to jail, what you never do is tell any guards you fear for you safety that will get you fucked over big time. You gotta kick along with it and hope to get sent to minimum security where it's a bit easier, I didn't feel scared, I just didn't feel any emotion at all
@Armageddon3284 That is because English is not my original language... How many languages do you speak? If you speak 4 like I do grammar at times does not come out at its best but ill do my best this time...
@eblgraphics speaking languages and writing them are not the same thing. I can read and write quite a bit more spanish than I speak. Apparently you speak more languages than you can write. Good job this time around, though. The effort is appreciated.
they really hammer in the point where they go right at the end "okay if you have any concerns about your safety please see one of the staff members" just to hammer in how bad jail is
@louispuddle You keep thinking you wont see that yellow car.
He got distracted as he looked down at something. When you're drunk you don't feel the subtle shifts in balance you usually would when you veer off course.
It's clearly not noon. The shadows are less clear later on (perhaps it's nearing twilight then), but the sun does appear to be shining from a very low angle in the hotel and carpark. Possibly closer to 8 PM, especially if this isn't winter. Just sayin'
Actually I meant "Drifting Hoons on Today Tonight"... but yeah cultures are different but just like in the USA there are hoons, burnouts, donuts, street racing, and drink driving.
I dunno I just see bloody idiot all over all these "hoon" videos. Like in the "Road Hoons Today Tonight" video where Cameron Wheron says "Bloody idiot... just utterly irresponsible". I mean in Australia it seems that they can use those names in commercials but they could never do that here in the USA.
@wuzzlevideos that was indeed the fireball advert, I wish someone would post it under the proper name. I was also looking for that one and couldn't find it. Thanks!
And yet the most we see in the average broadcast in the States is the "Please Drink Responsibly" or "21 means 21" tagline on beer & alcohol adverts. We need adverts like these in the States!
It wouldn't matter if he was drunk or not. Well legally it would but either way he decided to look away from the road and whether he was drunk or not these old people would have walked ou onto the road into the path of this driver and been killed
I can sort of understand why you'd try and argue against the speeding adverts, but please tell me you're not going to argue against the drink-driving ones? Seriously?
Yes, but as a driver you are still legally bound to be in control of your car at all times and be alert for the unexpected. Oh, and also not be fucking off your face on alcohol too :)
Exactly. In the State of Victoria, the law now states that if you kill someone whilst drink driving, you automatically get 7 years jail. No questions asked, do not pass go. The Magistrate cannot increase or decrease that sentence.
Not the papy and the mommy kills, not the alcohol or the car kills, the driver kills. Breaking the rulez is not allways the right way. And you know that. If you want to kill sby drive fast, and feel the power of killing...
thats not the fucking point you ass fucker!! imagine how hurt their family will be?? you think 5 years is justice?? you're probably a fucking criminal yourself you dog!!!
That's my favourite part about it. It's really really graphic. I know that's not saying much for a TAC advert, they're all like that, but this one in particular is so un-subtle.
Youre not drinking it...its drinking you buddy!

All to often you see an obviously drunk driver vear into you lane and almost hit you so I guess I do agree with the message in this ad

hes saying that the drinking had nothing to do with it the way they showed it. He looked away, it woulda happened anyways
