  • Youre not drinking it...its drinking you buddy!

  • If you're in a situation when you're drunk and you only have a short distance to drive (one kilometer or so), then you may be TEMPTED to drive because it COSTS both TIME and MONEY for a taxi, then some INCONVENIENCE to retrieve the car when you're sober.

This commercial shows you something can go WRONG, even if you've got only a few minutes of driving - potentially making you THINK TWICE b4 drink driving.

  • BEFORE THEY WERE FAMOUS: Michael Stipe of R.E.M.

  • I think he should have gotten 50 years and not the 5 he had originally.

In Rhode Island, one charge of vehicular manslaughter while drunk is 25 years.

  • looks like matt geyer. glad the other two he talked 2 did the right thing. shows not australians r pisspot idiots

  • The crying of the dog make this SO much worse... x

  • The dog always survives.

Does anyone know the name of the ad where the woman's girlfriend gets out of the car on the freeway and is hit by a car?

  • @pomegranateish I think you mean boyfriend. It's the one where he's high on drugs. It's called Swap

  • @wuzzlevideos

    That's the one. Thank you.

  • it's alright guys the dog lived

also, that guy better hope he doesn't drop the soap

  • You don't have time to be scared when you first go to jail, what you never do is tell any guards you fear for you safety that will get you fucked over big time. You gotta kick along with it and hope to get sent to minimum security where it's a bit easier, I didn't feel scared, I just didn't feel any emotion at all

  • Oooh, look at the cute do-SCREEEETHUD THUD!

OH, GOD! I almost hit that little dog!

  • He should've taken a cab instead of driven.

  • hehehe - mash and pie ...:-D

  • 0:40 - KERRUNCH

  • UFF... 3 years but then again he kill two people i think 15 years to live is more fare... It is an accident but in my opinion close to murder...

  • @eblgraphics your grammar makes me want to commit murder...

  • @Armageddon3284 That is because English is not my original language... How many languages do you speak? If you speak 4 like I do grammar at times does not come out at its best but ill do my best this time...

  • @eblgraphics speaking languages and writing them are not the same thing. I can read and write quite a bit more spanish than I speak. Apparently you speak more languages than you can write. Good job this time around, though. The effort is appreciated.

  • What passenger???? He was cuffed to another guy in the line.

  • 1 word... OUCH!

  • they really hammer in the point where they go right at the end "okay if you have any concerns about your safety please see one of the staff members" just to hammer in how bad jail is

  • Boże okropne!

  • And the passenger was sentenced because??

  • I didn't think there was one. Wasn't that just some other prisoner he was handcuffed too for processing at the jail?

  • Yeah, that's what I thought too. Would be pretty scary going to jail for the first time ever.

  • great ad. the TAC do good work.

  • thats ridiculous, i would never drink drive anyway however i dont think ive ever been that pissed that i wouldnt notice a bright yellow parked car!

  • @louispuddle You keep thinking you wont see that yellow car.

He got distracted as he looked down at something. When you're drunk you don't feel the subtle shifts in balance you usually would when you veer off course.

    Be careful out there.

  • I wonder why the dog always survives in commercials like these.

  • because no one wants to watch a dead dog, now that's just cruel

  • what was he drinking at noon or something? who drinks that much at a bar in the middle of the day? lol.

  • Tells you in the title (Australians)

  • It's clearly not noon. The shadows are less clear later on (perhaps it's nearing twilight then), but the sun does appear to be shining from a very low angle in the hotel and carpark. Possibly closer to 8 PM, especially if this isn't winter. Just sayin'

  • DOES ANYONE GIVE A SHIT????

  • thats one realistic depiction

  • Actually I meant "Drifting Hoons on Today Tonight"... but yeah cultures are different but just like in the USA there are hoons, burnouts, donuts, street racing, and drink driving.

  • Isn't that a bit of a stupid question? Why is American so obsessed with certain phrases that originated there?

  • I dunno I just see bloody idiot all over all these "hoon" videos. Like in the "Road Hoons Today Tonight" video where Cameron Wheron says "Bloody idiot... just utterly irresponsible". I mean in Australia it seems that they can use those names in commercials but they could never do that here in the USA.

  • Different cultures have different standards. We're much more open about things over here I guess.

  • there's definetely less stigma about 'foul language' here yeah.

  • What do you say to someone after running them down? Add booze to it and your fucked. I'm gonna go get a drink.

  • does anyone have the TAC FIREBALL advert i have been lookin for ages for it but cant seem to find it i have seen every single TAC ad except for it

  • try searching for car crash nightmare, user kingerz, fourth one down - is that it?

  • thanks now i have seen all the TAC ads thanks again cheers :D

  • @wuzzlevideos that was indeed the fireball advert, I wish someone would post it under the proper name. I was also looking for that one and couldn't find it. Thanks!

  • i know i shoudn't laugh but that is FUNNY!

  • i know right, seeing an old couple die and a man go to prison cracks me up too.

    Are you an idiot?

  • 0:38 the driver is clearly distracted, how does this correlate to drink driving?

  • What's with handcuffing two convicted criminals together? Is this regulation Down Under?

  • god that was sudden! and all i could think was the poor dog :(

  • And yet the most we see in the average broadcast in the States is the "Please Drink Responsibly" or "21 means 21" tagline on beer & alcohol adverts. We need adverts like these in the States!

  • Yeah tbh the UK doesn't show enough of this stuff anymore. It used to show ads that scared the shizzle out of me hehe

  • It wouldn't matter if he was drunk or not. Well legally it would but either way he decided to look away from the road and whether he was drunk or not these old people would have walked ou onto the road into the path of this driver and been killed

  • I can sort of understand why you'd try and argue against the speeding adverts, but please tell me you're not going to argue against the drink-driving ones? Seriously?

  • Yeah you are right I just got carried away in retorting to these adds lol.

All to often you see an obviously drunk driver vear into you lane and almost hit you so I guess I do agree with the message in this ad

  • hes saying that the drinking had nothing to do with it the way they showed it. He looked away, it woulda happened anyways

  • The point is that if he wasn't drinking his concentration would have been better and he would have kept his eyes on the road.

  • I remember this as their 2000 campaign to stop drink drivers and I will try to post the 1997, 1999 and 1996 campaigns as well

  • If you can get hold of any I don't have, or any that aren't on Youtube by other people, you will be my hero! I'm always trying to find other TAC ads.

  • bad actors.

  • It's not THAT bad. Seen much worse on adverts before.

  • look both ways

  • Yes, but as a driver you are still legally bound to be in control of your car at all times and be alert for the unexpected. Oh, and also not be fucking off your face on alcohol too :)

  • Exactly. In the State of Victoria, the law now states that if you kill someone whilst drink driving, you automatically get 7 years jail. No questions asked, do not pass go. The Magistrate cannot increase or decrease that sentence.

  • Not the papy and the mommy kills, not the alcohol or the car kills, the driver kills. Breaking the rulez is not allways the right way. And you know that. If you want to kill sby drive fast, and feel the power of killing...

  • I'm glad the dog was ok lol

  • was thinking the same

  • 5 years? he should definitely have gotten more..how horrific!

  • thats not the fucking point you ass fucker!! imagine how hurt their family will be?? you think 5 years is justice?? you're probably a fucking criminal yourself you dog!!!

  • Wow, you really are a sociopath....

  • Somehow I managed to miss this one yesterday.

  • check out the impact!

  • That's my favourite part about it. It's really really graphic. I know that's not saying much for a TAC advert, they're all like that, but this one in particular is so un-subtle.

  • So powerful...and shocking
