I love hear the magnetic brakes humming (if those are magnetic brakes idk but it sounds like them), its soo cool how they do that but excellent job though, i wish i could buy it.
This is not a model of any specific coaster. It does contain elements from many different rides though. The spiral lift is used on some real coasters today. All of the inversions can also be found on many coasters operating today.
It is a custom scratch built model. It is fabricated mostly from copper tubing. The cars are made from brass bar stock and the wheel assemblies are brass angle. I machine EVERYTHING. The model took 5 months to build. It is easily transportable. Once on site, assembly takes a little less than 2 hours.
Thanks for the comment. There are no pictures on line anywhere however. I am not big into pictures and did not really take any as I was building it. I may snap some off in the future though, as it is not located to far from me.
The wheels are Delrin tires pressed onto very small ball bearings. I had to machine each tire individually. It took some time, being as there are a total of 50 wheels.
Great work.just wondering, what type of wheels are you using for your train? did you make them yourself or something?
Im making a wooden 0 gauge coaster and so far, I have two turn arounds, half a dip :) and a fully working lift hill with a knex chain. so far, everythings going to plan.
It is extreme work making working coasters from scratch, just glad yours works.

The model has been purchased. I think it may be down near Dansville, NY from what I was told but I am not 100% sure.

@FunAndOnly This isn't supposed to be a real ride... You know there are more amusement parks than just Cedar Point?

Good job. You must be good at this stuff. It kind of reminds me of the Intamin inverts like at Kings Dominion, Volcano ride. Awesome!

Thanks. I was actually going for a Intamin look. Looks like I was able to pull it off to the trained eye.

yo man were building a roller coaster model for school
if we pay you a blow job and a anal eating outage would you build it for us?

what did you use for brakes?
CoasterFreak95 3 years ago
Brake is made from spring belt. There are magnets on the cars which attracted to the belt and create substanital friction.

Beautiful Coaster and very creative lift hil ;)

Thanks. It is actually modeled after the lift hills used on some Zamperla coasters. If you have never seen one, they are cool to watch.

Very nice job! It's longer than a lot of other models I've seen, plus the spiral lift and working brake run are really cool. Great work!
