I've watched alot of your dub videos the last couple days... and I usually think they are pretty bad, especially your Zidane. But oh man. Dark Serge is just so... perfect. Especially the laugh. Kid is okay, could be better. Lynx could be better too. But man. Whoever did Dark Serge needs to become a professional VA. If we had more people like him, English dubs wouldn't be so bad.
I really wish I would've known about these. Lynx does not sound like Lynx, and I just tried doing a voice for him for my own amusement and I think I have the perfect Lynx voice. Even with a bit of a cat whisper, which is what he needs. Not to mention this is pretty much MY FAVORITE GAME EVER.

What Lynx was eneded up being a manifestation of a computer system called FATE. Wazuki, Serge's father, was transformed into Lynx, but anything left of Wazuki died once Lynx was born. So it isn't really as thought Wazuki was trying to kill Serge, and for that matter, Lynx was never trying to kill Serge. If you think about it, Serge was hunting Lynx for Kid for no real reason other that the fact that Serge was attracted to her I guess. Lynx just needed Serge's form to kill Robo.
...Should have a bunch of people demand that Square-whateverthehelltheywannacallthemselvesthesedays redo these games with you guys as the voice actors while keeping the games integrity perfectly intact!
...Oh, and I'm sure you can tell but I love Square Soft and dislike Square-Enix. It's a weird personal thing with me right now until I feel they clean up their act, so to speak. It doesn't affect Square Soft at all though.
(1) Geez! I just CAN NOT get over what an intense Dark Serge CloudcoleVII is! He was so perfect in this one that he actually made the origional seem less menicing!
Everything in this scene is perfect. You guys are REALLY getting good at this! It's to bad you can't charge for this sort of thing because you'd all be rich in no time at all!
Absolutely astounding work by you all! The effort you must've poured in this must be immense, the talent behind it all really tells that story. So kudos to all of you for doing this game and this scene justice - I almost felt as though it was a professional movie. I was speechless. Amazing, bravo.

Aderu, I liked that you used echoes, but I think it was a little too strong. It made some of the words difficult to make out. Also, nothing worng with what was done, but why didn't you use Serge's yells from your dubbed intro?
Yeah, the timing was a little out and you didn't have as much emotion in your voice as I would expect, Aderu. Kid getting stabbed sounded a little too quiet for it's own good.
Other than that, I really liked it. It's not fair: you post things when I go away and can't reach a computer for days! But I suppose it's great when I finally find a computer again.
Oh, were the echoes a little too strong...? Hehehe ^_^ I only meant them to be super strong at the end when he's laughin'.
As for not using the sounds from the opening dub, well uh... I uh... I've either deleted that file or I've misplaced it, so I just gave Cole a second chance to redo 'em all together, yunno? ^_^
Overall... I'd say the performance was sub-par. Work and emphasize on the cohesion of the lines. Emphasize diction. Without the lines I should be able to hear what you are saying.
And more emotion... while keeping in mind the state of the characters.
As I've been told... perhaps I am a bit overcritical of the performance. But if you want to perfect you VA performances, outside of just playing for fun, you should take into account these things.

4. My last, Serge... Sound effects of action... bravo. Laugh, also bravo. That was amazing. Your diction is pretty down to. But your delivery wasn't correct. Remember, you are playing Lynx who has just changed from a monster after many years of suffering and has finally become human. Build up his dark persona and don't be too melodramatic.
Well, my friend showed this to me and I decided I'd give my own thoughts a bit on it... Forgive me as it will be a bit long:
1. I would like to applaud the performance of Kid. Very lovely job on the accent. You could do a bit better with your emotion and delivery. Be more forceful and rambunctious... she's a strong character.
2. Pip was... odd the way he was voiced. I mean it just sounded like he was there for comedic purposes in the voice. I'd do that entire scene with another character.
Let it be known, I would consieder first degree murder on a specified target if it meant someone would host a Death Note dub and I'll be Light Yagami!!! One of my favorite characters in history!!!

This is an awesome scene, and really, Serge's dubber here is just amazing. Really, job well done, you completely captured the feel of the scene with Dark Serge here. My only complaint is that AderuMoro doesn't do Kid aggressively or loudly enough, but you don't do her badly, either.
Cole, the epicness of your dark serge cannot be described. Like, holy hell, I still have shivers and goosebumps. And with the added echo effect...my word. I'm still fearing for MY life, much less Kid's! XD

When Aderu came at me with this scene, I dropped everything I was doing and begun on this bad motha! This was one of my favorite scene's from one of my all-time favorite games, and I was gonna give it 100% of my ability to do it JUSTICE! Funny story, when I played through this game, I gave each character a voice and read it as it came up, just for fun, and I had a voice for Pip. When I saw him in the party that was used, I just flipped out. I HAD to do that voice!!
OMG. I haven't been keeping up enough with you guys. This totally blew me away! This scene made me bawl my eyes out when I first played, way back when I was in 7th grade. Seriously, I commend you for all your hard work. Thanks so much again, Aderu! :D

Pretty awesome, but I think it's pronounced "Ser-jay", not "Surge". Kid's voice seemed a tad too girly for me, but I liked Dark Serge's voice.

Good work Aderu. I thought you captured the voices of those characters perfectly, now if only a certain mixed up individual gets a chance to work with Aderu herself on one of these fun little dubs. :)
