@andrewm153351 Well Samsung did show a 11.6 inch screen with 2560x1600 resolution in May last year. The pixel density will be no higher than that of the iPhone4.

Hmm....Didn't know that. I just don't understand why such a small screen would need that many pixels? i mean, a 27 inch imac is 2560x1400......And that's 27 inches, and known for being ridiculously clear!

@andrewm153351 I agree it feels kind of backwards when the tablets have higher resolutions than computer screens, but I suppose it's in part because you view them in a different way (closer to the eye) and in part because it has become a trend with mobile devices... And I was wrong about the samsung panel, it wasn't 11.6 inches, it was only 10.1 (!)... Anyway, I for one hope all this leads to better computer monitors! :-)

@MrWoodsprite i dont really see why such a high resolution is necessary now. Most web sites are made for 1024x768. HD videos available nowadays are 1080p

Samsung are not doing netbooks anymore and have said they will place all their work into tablets. So this size makes sense. Next year they more than likely will have 7 tablets with all types of sizes and accessories.

2560x1600 ON A 11.6" screen is to high of a resolution. You'll need reading glasses to surf the web. watching movies would be great though.
