Rip DVDs Directly From VLC Player

I have the latest version and menus are a bit different but it won't let me open up ANYTHING under title - bloody frustrating as have been trying all night to find a way to get a VCL file to Dvd & thought I'd cracke dit with this. Anyone got any other ideas please.

This used to work, but all the new versions of VLC player from 0.99 onwards cant rip dvds any more, and if it does work then the author of this video needs to come out straight and say so or give a tutorial on it, so like i said if you want to rip dvd movies and break the copy protection you MUST use an old version of VLC player, my version is 0.86e and it works perfectly

You should make a new tutorial on how to rip a DVD because the new version of VLC 1.1.1 has a new interface. Many of the switches and buttons have been moved to different locations in the programs

you want vlc 0.8.6i they seem to have silently removed this feature from vlc in more recent versions

I have a vob file thats 4.09gb in size..Its a concert and the audio is out of sync with the picture..Now with vlc i can synchronize it together so that the audio is in sync with the picture.

So is there any way that i can save the synchronized files and burn them onto a dvd ?

And if i could keep the file as a vob and not have to change it to divx or meg4 it would be great.

It doesn't work on newer versions, at least not in the same way. To follow the instructions in the video get an older release of vlc. I have 0.8.6d.

In newer versions of VLC, use the Convert/Save option in the file menu, the process is pretty much the same

Its pretty simple. In order to use a program you kinda have to have it installed on your computer. If its not already installed on your computer you might be able to DOWNLOAD it from the internet. If you know what idk means and what the internet is, you should know that your supposed to download a program before you can use it as well :O

u shud upgrade to the newer one it has more menus.... and a better osd. I knw some ppl favour the older ones for speed or something but the newer version is good man. I had to select DirectX 3D on Vista to stop it from switing vista themes... take care all. :)
