  • I'm surprised his pants stayed on. I'm just saying...

  • wait? i thought the Haitian has the power to like stop people from using their powers lol

  • what was that..??? a ready-to-eat pop corn..???

  • 0:6 sexy ass

  • @terror0earth LMAO sexy ass

  • He flies so fast that I bet he can go 1 round around the world in 5 mins.

  • Well since a commercial air-plane flies at about 800 - 1000 kilometers per our, and it has to be very resistant to able to sustain the wind pressure.

To go around the world in 5 minutes Nathan would need to fly at 480.000,00 kilometers per hour or 480 times the speed of an commercial air plane, I am pretty confident that, that speed would rip his flesh out of his bones.

  • Nathan can fly without ill effect to his body because part of his ability is to ignore the pull of gravity (including the multiple gravity pull by moving really fast).

He seems to also be able to automaticly create a barrier around himself when he moves at incredible speeds. You can notice this in certain scenes by seeing a notable ripple distortion around him when he's flying super fast.

So he basicly doesn't get extreme air friction.

  • You are right, but this character resists this kind of speed

  • @Spartacusse his body is made for high velocity flight it is part of his ability his body is designed to fly likes peters body is designed to empathise and take in new abilities

  • @Spartacusse ahh of course but your forgetting one thing... heroes is a fucking tv show

  • How the hell could Nathan of flown away when the Black guy can block powers!? He wouldnt risk not blocking his powers incase Nathan had the power to explode!? Its Ridiculous!!! Hes meant to be a trained Agent yet he doesnt take basic measures to ensure safety... tut tut!

  • Maybe the haitian didn't know that nathan had an ability so he didn't try and block it or maybe the haitian wanted nathan to get away because if you think about it he does help a lot of the heroes for example there are a few times when he didn't wipe claire's memory

  • yep, cos i remember after this scene Bennett found out that nathan has an abiity. But then...the Haitian does not have to "turn the power on" so to speak. his presence alone would block any ability within range. hhmmm... this would be a good trivia question.

  • Actually that is not true, The Haitian can choose whose powers he negates and whose he does not. He must concentrate as it is a mental ability. This has happened many times but Arthur Petrelli was able to fight him in season 3

  • The Haitian didn't negate Nathan's ability because he was secretly working for Angela Petrelli, who is Nathan's mother.

  • The Haitian can block your frontal lobe from working (Making you not use your powers) or erase your memory. But he does it on purpose he can control it.

  • aahh i see. thanks for the explanation.

  • i love episodes when something epic happens right before the "Heroes" opening theme

    rarely happens lately

  • yeah, well said.

  • lol... flying congressman. That is the definition of ridiculous.

  • what epsiode is this?

  • To all who are wondering why Nathan could fly with the Haitian there:

The Haitian is loyal to the Petrelli family, remember? He works for the Company but would do otherwise if Angela told him to.

  • Your absolutely right. He also let Peter use telekinesis to stop the taser darts and then fly away with Claude in season 1.

  • The Haitian chooses who to block. He can block more than one person's ability as seen in season 3 episode 3 (Daphne and Hiro's powers both did not work around him) Probably to be safe as he was holding the suitcase with the formula.

  • The Daphne ran away withe suitcase, he was unconsious at the time. Then woke up and Hiro's power didn't work after (Hiro: Popcorn?)

  • i think this is a mistakes..

on season 3 episode 3 klair cant breath but his mother have no problem why ? she use fire, fire cant live without oksijen...

  • because her mom is just like a fire..behave like a fire i mean...

  • Its Not Oksijen It is Oxygen

  • its weird that nathan can fly with the haitian there...i dont think that haitian control his power..his power is always activate without he controlling it..

  • Maybe Nathan can fly becouse his ability is synthetic!!!

  • Thats another possiblity.

  • funniest thing ever. seriously.

  • Coolest thing ever.

  • god i remeber this scene so much love heroes

  • this was the first episode i watched and my jaw just dropped i have been addicted ever since :)

  • the best flying man is in powerless

hiro: (look of awing in his face) Flying Man!

matt: and who's this guy supposed to be!?!?

  • I hate staying on the ground GRAVITY SUCKS!!!!!!

  • If Nathan and West were to race each other, Nathan would win because he flies like a missile while West is more elegant and slow.

  • I wish I could do that

  • when i first saw that i was like wow. they was awesome

  • The Haitians ability according to the official Heroes wiki is Mental Manipulation. This power only seems to be effective against those whose ability rely heavily on mental concentration such as Telepathy or Space-Time Manipulation

  • Bullshit. In the recent episode with the speedster girl she couldn't run fast with the haitian around. You telling me running is more mental than physical?

  • Mybe the Haitian learned to activate it subconsciously since then...

  • My guess is he didn't know what power he had. With the speedster, and Hiro, he has encountered Hiro before, and since the speedster works for Peters dad, and the haitian works for his mom, my guess is he as probably encountered her, so he knows what power she has. If you remember when peter and the invisible guy were on the roof, the haitian and Benet, shot at him, but he stopped it with telekinises, he didn't know peter had it, so he couldn't block it.

  • personally i thiink the writers thought halfway throughb the series ''yeah he can do emeories...how do we solve the problem of how powered ppeople keep owning bennet? guive him a new power....yes yes that way we can tie up some loose ends'' i think they made the blocking power DURING the series and then tried to explain it with your above method or some cr*p like that

  • Because the Haitian is taking orders from Angela Petrelli, and he wouldn't let one of her sons get bagged and tagged.

  • i highly doubt they planned that far ahead, but you could be correct cos later that episode or so he blocks matts power.

  • NO! The Haitian does not need to know what powers they have to block. Just think, he is going to stop Arthur and he doesn't know what powers Arthur has (he has a bunch).

The Haitian let Nathan go away, as did with Peter in one episode when he flew away with Claude (invisible man). He is loyal to Angela, and does not want her sons get hurt or caught even if he has to work for the company. Funny how, HRG didn't ask the haitian why he didn't block his power though.

  • i dont c flaws i luv heroes 2 much

  • that is just fucking badsass

  • I love this scene - one of my favourites. When I watched it for first time I was practically shouting at the screen "Fly! Just fly!" I thought he wasn't going to because Nathan was always denying that he had a power so when he did I was like "Yes!" Guess he figured, "Hell, they probably already know."

It's also the first time we see Nathan fly properly - he's pretty darn fast. Wonder if he can fly faster than West. They should have a race.

  • like drew said, nathan would win by a long shot. west kinda floats along while nathan kinda just.... builds it up then he blasts off.

  • perfect fly

  • i want to leave every situation this way, from parties to funerals

  • i love how when it shows nathan landing at the diner that hiro and ando are at, hiro calls him "flying man", and when hiro sees nathan again at isaacs loft, he yell,"flying man!"

  • How does Nathan fly with the Haitan there?

This show rocks hard, but the writers need to put more thought into things.

A further example is; Why in season 2 does Peter not read adams mind? also, why does he use telekinesis to pull the door open whilst he can phase through it?

    /shrug

  • This and a lot more questions can be make, I mean, there are flaws everywhere.

But we just stick to the entertainment of watching it, and give a blind eye to this sort of stuff.

  • @Spartacusse long time ago but I noticed the other girl with aritificial power could use it with him too it is quite possible people with fake powers can use them near the haitian.

  • Yeah, lots o flaws in the story. How can peter phase to begin with considering he never met DL? Why did DL have to eat a bullet when he could have just phased nikki for that matter. Ah well, take what you can get I guess...

  • The Haitian can only suppress powers if he knows what ability(ies) the person has. At this point Noah and The Haitian didn't know he could fly, until obviously he did. :P

  • Not true because he didn't know Hiro's power, and he suppressed it.

He never met Hiro. Only in the alternate future...

  • There are no flaws in this story. Your brain is flawed. Peter was near DL....so he absorbed his power. Peter absorbs every power that he is exposed to, but he just has to figure out how to use it.

Think about how Peter used Daphne's speed power in season 3 episode 4 before he even knew Daphne had that power.

  • Also, Peter learns to use these powers whenever he's in a stressful situation. Phasing when he was handcuffed to a chair when he was found in Cork, Ireland.

Super speed when he was facing Claire with a gun in the future where Sylar's son gets killed.

  • Well, the Daphne scene, he had mastered/learned Sylars ability(IA), he had absorbed it, since he is a mimic, and since he had Sylars power, he knew what her power was, and how it works/used it.

  • ya, but he didn't have sylar's power when he absorbed Niki or DLs powers. Had nothing to do with having sylar's power.

  • I'm not sure about DL's case, but he saw Niki use her powers, when she was beating up Sylar. And in my opinion I don't think it's a power one needs to learn(like Claire's power). Also Sylar indicated that, when he told Nox that he understood his power.

  • So I guess that if u have peter's power...u don't need any other powers cuz' u absorb them...

  • ur freakin insane.. you comment like every day.. 24/7. Except you left a flaw.. peter cant absorb future peters power so he cant place other peoples bodies.. in another.

  • More importantly, if Peter was close enough to Niki and DL to absorb their abilities, it stands to reason that he absorbed Micah and Molly's abilities.

Why didn't he just "ask" the door to open?

Because TK'ing it open looked cooler and was more dramatic!

  • why didnt he just walk through it lol

  • the Haitan doest just block abilities just by being present he has to actually consentrate i mean its kinda oviouse other ppl have used there abilites in front of the Haitan b4

  • How does Nathan fly with the Haitan there?

Disabling abilities is not passive for the hatian, he has to mentally switch it on. He didn't expect nathan to fly so he didn't use his ability

A further example is; Why in season 2 does Peter not read adams mind?

again reading minds is not passive. Peter is too naive and too trusting. He would have never suspected adam

why does he use telekinesis to pull the door open whilst he can phase through it?

he wouldn't know what to do in there.

  • in seasons 2 he was taking meds that control his powers thats he didnt do eny of that stuff!!!

  • yeah but he stopped remember? That's how he and adam escaped in the first place

  • Peter can only use one power at a time and peter could have several powers we and he doesn't know about. He didnt know DL had a power.

  • @zekanz nathans power isnt genetic, and the haitian's powers dont work on non-genetics. Nathan's power was injected to him. Or its the other way around where he wasnt injected and the haitains power only works on peoples whos powers were injected. I think its the first tbh

  • @themanwithacam Thats not true, in season 1 he could block Matt Parkman's telepathy, and that was synthetic

  • what a fucking cool way to make an exit.

  • i loved this scene

  • Which is this episode?

  • i was thinking there was a represenation logic problem but i must have been mistaken.

  • wow :|

  • loooooool
