I am 58 now and was a tad young for VietNam, but not for a low draft number when Nixon ended the draft. I went Navy, went nuke, went submarines. But that doesn't mean that I agreed with the foreign policy that got us into VietNam or, once there, prevented us from achieving victory. It was stupid to go there and once there more stupid not to get the job done.
This guy loves tearing up liberals. Liberals are all about feelings - not facts. I HATE old hippies - especially when they tell me that they 'were at Woodstock'. If I were at that shitty place I would NEVER admit it and write it off as one the biggest mistakes of my life.
@darthspeaks The 60's split this country in half. There were hippies and the rest of us. The hippies chose academia and a theoretical world. Many of us went to college after Vietnam or whatever, but to this day the divide is still there, and it always will be. The hate for Nam vets shown by the hippies runs too deep. Nam vets were & are treated like dirt. Today there are programs for returning vets & there should be, but there is noting for Nam vets. Google Hill 881 or Hamburger Hill (927)

@wiskey1249 I completely agree. My aunt was one of those freakish hippies and my dad went to Vietnam. She has treated my dad like shit for years.
