This is from 'You asked for it' which was a popular TV show some time ago, as listed on Elektro the Moto Man's wikipedia page he made an appearance on the show.
"I am Elektro, mightiest of all robots. I was created by Westinghouse Laboratories. I am 7 feet, 6 inches tall. I weigh 260 pounds. My brain is bigger than yours. It weighs 60 pounds. I can do many things. If you use me well, I can be your slave."
I wonder who was the eventual winner of the Skippy (Peanut Butter) All-Time Award?
People back then were so horribly stupid that being able to blow up a balloon meant you were unbelievably smart. The average 30s/40s person would just have eaten the balloon.
Elektro is being restored allegedly. Myself I'd want to cut it up into tiny pieces and bury them, or else I'll be petrified until my dying day that I'll wake up in the night and it will be stood over me inflating a balloon and playing that music.
My ego is bigger than yours. Of course right after he says that he goes on about how he can be a slave. So confusing. Bigger brain does not seem to equal better reasoning.
@Lachman0102 perhaps swap the 78 rpm player for a 45 rpm player, add a record and he could sing 'Click Go The Shears'. Now that would be a sight to behold
I just recently found out about elektro i think it is amazing that people built things like elektro that long ago and how little progress has been made since then

IN the 30's Westinghouse created Elektro to show America what mechanical servants of the future would be like and how they would be our friends.
So naturally, they built a lurching seven 1/2 foot bronze Frankenstein with the head of Benito Mussolini.

"I can be many things if you use me well..." He's not being used well in this vid, other than as an ad gimmick for Westinghouse.
