you guys are dumb. if they had made the characters of the game the main character of the movie series it probably would have been a major disappointment to the fans and wouldn't have become a series of films. it could have been as bad as the tomb raider movies or mortal kombat. creating new characters allows a plot to be written in a way that makes a good watchable movie, rather than trashing a game that everyone loves.

u know what is so funny about alice that i just realized after watching and reading about the 1st resident evil movie is, her name is never mentioned at all in the 1st movie. but only in the 2nd movie it is revealed. hahaha. and it's true. as for her real real name, tech she also goes by the names Janus Prospero, Alice Parks, and Alice Abernathy. this is from the movies and novels, so no one knows which one will be used for her real actual name cuz alice is nods to alice in wonderland.

They should have killed her off in the middle of the second movie. Her presence is just annoying. Jill, Clair, or maybe even a cloned Rain should have been the hero in RE2. I just hate the way the story keeps mutating around her. I haven't seen 4 and I'm not going to; it sucks!

@gentlemenjocard well i would tech prefer someone from the game, but rain was never in the game i dont think. but i dont mind alice cuz well she is the movie resident evil girl. but there were times i thought they would kill her off and let jill take over. but good thing they didnt cuz the jill girl had to pull out of the 3rd movie. yeah that does suck how the story keeps revolving around her. and yeah the 4th one sucked ass.

Alice isn't like any of the other infected. She has a unique DNA, which can be used to create a cure for the T-Virus.

She was infected with the virus, yes, but because of her DNA, it didn't change her 'humanity' (for lack of a better term).

Her Kinesis powers (Tele and Pyro) are the result of the virus mutating within her, but again, it's in a beneficial way because of her DNA.

I believe Jill leads/led a convoy of survivors, but I'm not positive.
