  • What made Lillee a truly great bowler was the way he adapted his bowling. We can see from this clip that he was seriously quick in the early days, but when he lost a bit of pace, he had such skill and control of the ball.

  • as good as lillee was- batsmen really were worried about being hit in the head in those days and that was a fearsmoe weapon in the bowler's favour. im certain they got many wickets directly or indirectly because of the ferocity of the short ball against unprotected batsmen.

  • @rcaddict72 couldnt agree with you more especially playing on the bouncy wickets in australia dont get me wrong lillee is most definitely a great but would have liked him to play in the subcontinent to see if he really was an alround better bowler than some of the other quicks going round at that time!!!

  • expose present days world record holders against such bowlers,.uncovered pitched and such bowling attacks,..and dr greatness will disappear,.Its very sad dat d charm of cricket,,d aggression has been done away wid,.
