@747400FlyingPilot yes it is Cactus. However, at the time I made this video, the author of the model was still using US Air old call sign, which later changed to Cactus after the merger with America West
love the turbines and the inserted geese that was hilarious to comment on what you said earlier all USAir flights US WEST and US EAST both used cactus as a call sign at the time
When I made the video (within a couple of days from this incident), there was no information if the aircraft was a former America West (Cactus) or a US Airways (USair)
The popping sound you hear at 1:57 is the engine ingesting the birds causing it to sound like explosions. I'm sure those people seating by the window were frightened!
That's right and you know were passengers survived

Lame. The cockpit audio is from another video of a military jet birdstrike, flameout, and ejection.

hey nice clip love the turbine sounds where did you get it??
DustyRolle 2 years ago
That took a little bit of creativity, I searched for bird strikes and run into a related video, copied the sound and inserted into my video

Also for landing the flaps were not down
kidsouthwest 2 years ago
To make it better the callsign should have been cactus

1DLflyer 2 years ago
Cactus has been universal all over the system since September 2008 along with the AWE flight numbers (as opposed to USA)

Nice job. Very nicely done. 5 stars. You should have turned off the crash detection so you could have skimmed the water for a bit.

Thanks!. The crash detection is turned off in this video. My previous video did not, therefore, it bounced off the water...
