  • Namaste'. This dish is my all time favorite. Thank you for sharing it here on YouTube.

  • Namaste!

As my father was dying of cancer, this was one of his favorite meals and the last real meal his body could handle. I have such painfully beautiful memories of spooning out each mouth full, one for him one for me.....and it was such a blessing that in such pain he could enjoy good food and share it with me as a memory I will treasure as long as I live.

Thank you for reminding me of it and teaching me how to make it myself....I will make it to honor his memory and your skill.

I love that music and your food!

  • its the song from DDLJ

  • do v need to put sugar??

    wont it become sweet???

  • Sugar helps counter the acidity of tomatos otherwise the dish could be sour

  • Sugar can help balance out the acidic flavor of the tomatoes.

  • hi, love your recipes. why dont you normally fry turmeric, chili powder and dhania powder? thanks

  • thanks 4 posting this receipe; i didnt know that its this easy 2 make this dish....thanx

  • mam please explain why did u add sugar to the dish?

  • Manjula, you really are patient & should have a program of your own !

    Thanks for sharing.

  • what is the cream and where do i get it?

  • if you follow your recipe to make homeade paneer, do you still have to fry the paneer for this recipe?

  • store baught paneer is very firm so you do not have to fry but home made paneer is not that firm so you must fry home made paneer.

  • Thank you.

  • that looks amazing, thank you for sharing.

  • oh my goodness that looks dellliiicious. thankyou!

  • Thanks again Manjula! I Love your videos!you are a great teacher and I am your fan!!!!!

  • Thank you very much. it is very kind of you being here teaching us that wonderful Indu coocking. wish you all the best..

  • thank you very much!

there is a place that uses cottage cheese along with paneer in theirs. it is very thick and creamy.. and delicious! have you heard of using that before? i tried but cannot make it the same. i think they add cream to it.

  • If you like creamy gravy few minutes before turning off the heat add some cream.

  • WoW, Great recipe. Thank you so much, prepairing nice Indian food is a lot of work but you do it so well, I want try.

  • hello manjula... it looka very nice, thank u.. can i use home made paneer instead? and also, will it still come out nice if i fry some onion and garlic with the spices? thanks

  • hello, yes home made paneer will taste great and yes you can add onion anf garlic.

  • thank u

  • Thank you.

  • Thank you very much!

  • I was surprised by the addition of corn starch-- I've never used that in mutter paneer. Also, I use a TON of butter in it. As always, I enjoy watching Manjula cook!

  • What is this green paper? Is it like green chilli?

  • yeah it's a typo. She meant pepper, as in spicy green chili. How spicy is up to you, just don't use anaheim :P

  • she meant green pepper...yes its the green chilli

  • This dish is fantastic! It is so much better than anything I have ever eaten at an Indian restaurant. I'm very happy to be able to make it at home. Thank you very much!

  • Paneer cheese is easy to make. Get 4 pints of full cream milk and warm it up to nearly hot (not boiling) add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (or one tblesoon of vinegar) and observe it curdling. Turn off the heat. Allow to cool. Drape a clean tea towel over a large bowl and drain. Tie up the tea towel and twist to compress the curd. Allow to set for a couple of hours. Then it's ready!

  • hi i am from turkey 4 pints milk= 1 litre of milk.thank you.

  • No, 1 pint is 2 cups, and 1 litre is about 4 cups.

So 4 pints is 8 cups which is about 2 litres.

  • That is interesting... my girlfriend let it hang overnight and then pressed it for a few hours. We think it was not pressed with enough weight because it was too wet. You twist it which must get out a lot more of the whey!

  • thank you so much for sharing all d recipes. btw what is mango powder? how does it taste?

  • it's actually powdered mango! it smells just like the fruit. the only place i could find it was at the Indian grocers... good luck!

  • If you go to any Indian grocer you'll find it's referred to as AMCHOOR or sometimes AMCHUR instead of Mango Powder. Great stuff!

  • Sometimes also called 'khatai'

It gives a zesti taste to the food. Its nice. I use it in all my recipes! - Dadi Jaan

  • These recipes always turn out great! I was always intimidated to attempt Indian cuisine. Thank you! Keep on keeping on Please!!!

  • wat is peprica? is it red chilly powder!

  • "Paprika" is not hot like red chile powder. It is made from ground sweet red peppers, not hot red peppers. Easy to find in any supermarket.

  • Thank you so much for this video

  • Thanks again Manjula! I Love your videos!

  • do you have a recipe for chatt?

  • looks very tasty but very much similar to paneer butter masala only dahi is excluded. thanks
