Rich, you were an inspiration for me when I was a wee lost li'l lamb, and to this day, I return to your music when I need encouraging words of *Home*. While I remain on earth Rich, I will miss your talent! The evils of life stole you from us, but your music will live on in Glory.
@djmusicjac ck out Rich's rich body of poetry to music, his "Songs" over 80 some say 100 in his short life. Can't believe he passed in 97. His Savior indeed led him and through his music he will never be forgotten. Experiencing his music really helps you grow in your spiritual walk , it did me.
If there was great man of God who taught me to be the Jesus with skin on that some will ever see, you were it, Rich. Upon your rather unexpected "Heavenly Promotion," you legacy lives on in your music and in the countless lives that you touched and ministered to, mine included. Although you are deeply missed here on earth, your music is helping those of us left standing to carry on in your absence.
I suffer from a sleep disorder called sleep paralysis which at one point in my life got really really bad. It can actually be pretty frightening if you never heard of it. Those few years were tough for me but I listened to this ong almost every time before I went to sleep on the second volume of The World As Best as I remember it. It was such a blessing to hear each night before I went to sleep. When i see rich mullins I want to shake his hand and thank him for this song
For those interested, who haven't already done so themselves, let me encourage those who have the time and opportunity to do a little biographical research on the life and history of Fanny Crosby and the hymns she wrote, and the undeniable impact she has had on the lives of so many millions.
Sadly, while well intended, I wish those who changed her tombstone would have left it as it was as it said more than they apparently understood.
Her original tombstone was a reminder and a quote of what Jesus said of the woman the disciples grumbled about anointing his feet with that costly perfume:
"She did what she could".
May we all at the end of our journey hear the praise of the Lord saying the same of us.
@lotis333 Amen to that. Over the last few weeks the Lord has been giving me a glimpse at how much he loves his people. Through the words of an often forgotten prophet: Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
The context of the whole message only adds to the weight of God's love. May the Spirit be pleased to share it with you too.

I believe it's hard for us to really comprehend how much Jesus loves us! Wonderful song and video.
