@oboyy But Madonna, exceptionally speaking, has gotten a signifigant amount of influence from MJ.. from incorporating all of his dancemoves/fashion/concert production/etc. ideas to using his music video choreographers and producers. She was basically the female equivalent to him, and she made sure of that.

I agree that Madonna is great, but she did not write her songs in the beginning of her career. Lady GaGa has written all her songs, and so did M J. Micheal Jackson had natural talent, and Madonna does not even have an outstanding voice to have the kind of recognitions she has.

da reason why i'm a fan of michael jackson & madonna is that they had created in the 80's (in mike's case 70's) a new pop music scene, that influenced & inspired many younger generations of pop artists, such as britney spears,destinys child,justin timberlake,usher,chris brown, lady gaga, christina aguilera,justin bieber, miley cyrus and even artists of other music genre such as 50 cent, jay-z, nas among others.

I agree that Madonna is great, but she did not write her songs in the beginning of her career. Lady GaGa has written all her songs, and so did M J. Micheal Jackson had natural talent, and Madonna does not even have an outstanding voice to have the kind of recognitions she has.

@BReazaify Gaga writes as much as Madonna, she doesn't write any more or less. Madonna has written AND produced entire songs for other artists and given to them (Kylie, R. Martin, Nick Kamen and many more) Just because Lady gaga keeps repeating in every interview that she writes her own stuff doesn't mean that she writes more than Madonna because Madonna barely mentions it and is more humble about it. It's called being modest.

@BReazaify In fact, Guy Sigsworth, William Orbit and Mirwais and many other people who worked with Madonna don't even want to work with other people now because they say it's a huge step down, they always say that Madonna does most of the work herself. She's only fully written two songs out of three albums (yes that includes Born This Way) and that is Speechless and You and I. She never really mentions that in interviews now does she?

True Madonna couldn't dance the moonwalk but she did something that I don't think MJ ever did: she changed people's perception about gays, women and even black people. Her controversies made people think and question things. She did it almost 30 years ago and she was the first to do it. U should give her more credit.

Michael and Madonna were truly the ones who set the standard and laid the foundation for almost every other Pop artist who has come and gone over the last 25-30 years now. Back in the 80's the formula for success that they came up with in the MTV generation has been recycled and emulated again and again.
