i love how Gorillaz is not only a great band, but also an animated story that follows the band through the years, everything allegorical to what is happening in the band, such as replacing noodle with cyborg noodle representing their transition from alternative rock in demon days to alternative hip-hop on their plastic beach album, replacing the guitar with the synth and so on.

@joko554 nope...Noodle is alive. Real noodle was with gigantic Russel when they arrived at Plastic beach. Cyborg Noodle is a replacement / body guard for Murdoc. In the Rhinestone Eyes story board, you see real Noodle AND Cyborg Noodle together for the first time. Hope this helped.

Murdoc payed off the U.S Airforce to attack the island, Noodle was informed and escaped. You can see her parachute away. However later she was taken to hell when Murdoc offered her as collateral for his own soul. She escaped however and is in hiding.

Wikipedia gives the information that the robot was made by the Gorillaz from the DNA left in El Manana. She is still unknown to be alive but she is shown in a trailer for Plastic Beach is wearing a mask, making unsure if it is actually Noodle and if she is still actually alive. They also think is could be possible that Russlle found her while swimming in Plastic Beach. If so then hopefully she will be back for the videos in this album of the next. :( Sorry,

And besides obvious cosmetic changes (lighter skin, dyed hair, green eyes) she is basically the same. Plus to furthur support my statement all the band members have aged. 2D has longer hair and a deeper voice, Russel is a bit taller, and Murdoc looks more human.
