In what year was this CGi intro made? I read on wikipedia it was 1987 but I really cannot believe they made this in the 80's.

The intro was made around the late 90s for the PS1.The original "intro" (consisting of just white text over a blue background) could be found in the NES version.

@subpower1 1. You mean Feral Chaos? 2. Shiryu is a golden dragon, not a red dragon. 3. Shiryu has no legs! 4. Shinryu is not Chaos, it is a completly separate entity (though Chaos dose have his power as a summon). 5. Chaos's true from isent a dragon, he was originally a manikin made by Cid of Lufaine. 6. THAT *points at the video* is just a normal red dragon, you fight plenty of those in Final Fantasy.

@catfart666 This may be late, but in case you didn't get an answer... no, the dragon has no significance whatsoever. The only significance between the knight (Golbez) and a dragon, would be Tiamat which isn't red, but blue. Not to mention it has multiple heads and controls wind, not fire, so I would have to say no, none at all.

No, this is FF1. That's the "Warrior of Light", who is meant to represent one of the four heroes of the game.

Technically, he is. The four main characters of FF1 are meant to be the 'Warriors of Light' who save the world from the four evil and Garland.

When Amano (FF's major designer) was asked to design a Warrior of Light, he came up with the design used in this video and in Dissidia.

Warrior of Light (as in the character) represents one of the four playable characters in FF1. He fights a lot like Fighter, so it wouldn't be surprising if he is meant to represent the Fighter.

Remember, this was originally made for the original Nintendo a long time ago. They only put in an FMV or two & that was all they really did to it, the in-game graphics are still shit.

Well actually they(they meaning Square) improved the graphics for the remake. They also improved the music.

If you compare the Playstaion remake to the original then you will see a great difference.

They didn`t only put FMV sequence in it they improved the Graphics alot compared to the NES Version. But i didn`t understood it they could make it alot better in my eyes but either they thought it isn`t worth to invest much Money and Time into it or they thought we will bring a better version later and than sell it agin and gain more Money. Still i liked it.

Actually, this is a remake of the first Final Fantasy. The first one for Nintendo had worse graphics. The graphics for the nintendo version were good for the time though.
