  • I forgot all about this vlog. I remember seeing this one but it was worth to see it again to help refresh my understanding the meaning of deafhood and audism. I didn't realized that if some deaf people who keep saying the word "Audism" is not in the dictionary is audism. Do I have your permission to use your vlog in FB? I have some who seems not to understand deafhood. Thanks - WG

  • @WonderGent Feel free to do so.

  • Love it!!!!!!

  • i love your speech . good jobs.

  • Wow! What a beautiful vlog!

  • R- I notice Barry still make the trouble for all of the Deaf in the community regarding the 'Deafhood' that he said it is no such thing, blah, blah, right?

I wondered, if he ever know the Deafhood is already modified its word in the Wikipedia, m'mmm!

Stop being a troublemake for CAD and leave Ella out of it, period, Barry! (scoffs)

  • Now I know the two groups... (Passive and Active)... I suspect that most people "up there" are active in that. Most of the time they do not give a squat about providing interpreters, and just want to be scrupulous with their most cherished money for golf time. Then again, how am I to know, maybe they're actually all Passives under one Active S.O.B.

  • Ridor, You hit the main nails on the head. Deafhood isn't a cult. I think when people call Deafhood a cult, an organization, they are actually fear-mongering. This is one way of discrediting culturally Deaf people. Just because a word isn't in the dictionary doesn't mean it doesn't exist. OY!

  • You're the kind of man that is a blueprint for building an idiot.

  • Bravo, Ridor! Go for it! Your speaking is very well truth and strong like a iron! Wink!

  • I agree with u!!! Ridor can become Ph.D very well and can be better living! Let Barry get nothing!

  • Yes right on MeDeafYes! Good suggestion, if the University pays better salaries than H.S. yearly salaries, he can go for it!

  • Yes, but someone has to steer them in that path we wanted them to at least once in a while, don't we? :-)

    R-

  • yr explanation was ok at best. liked yr explanation abt deafhood. audism needs to be further analyzed.

  • Which is why I made another vlog.

    R-

  • Its too bad about your father! Duh!

I heard one story about a deaf person who was extremely skilled at his job, she was removed from her job simply because the company felt it was too expensive to hire interpreter for her. To add insult to this injury, they hired another deaf person who could speak well to replace her. The company knew they could get away with it when they hired another deaf person. It is a shame there.

  • Good vlog, Ricky. You hit the main points. Hopefully people listen, but probably not...

One thing.... Deafhood is individual, but it is also about COMMUNITY processes as well.

  • Yes, you're correct. I suspect that is WHERE Barry and the Pig Boy overreacted on the issue of "community processes". It is HIGH time for us to elevate ourselves to the next level.

    R-

  • Aww, nice! Hey, I enjoyed watching your vlogs but I noticed that your background color tends to flash a lot. Did you notice that? And where are you from? I'm nosey.

    R-

  • Excellent vlog! ... Damn. If you refrain yourself from being combative and learn to take a great pain to be a slightly good boy, you could have been a great teacher at a deaf school, especially at VSDB.

  • That is one problem. VSDB folks wanted Deaf people to be like dogs. I declined.

    R-

  • Well, Ridor, maybe other Deaf schools. First you would have to be nice to a principal and brats before you can start your outstanding teaching at one of schools.

  • Perfect example. Ridor!!

  • Thank you for give excellent vlog!

  • This is def Ridor's empire! LOL

  • Yes, I agree with you...strange, I just made new vlog and your discussion about active and passive. It applied to my new vlog about "Is Barry An Oppressor?" He is actually an active oppressor.

  • Ridor Yea I believe Audism new to me about last year or two year ago not sure? I learn something and I made a vlog my mistake word audist stupid of me I removed it and replace it. should be word Dyscouious Audism I learn from my friend. I see I made a mistake anyways Ella and I will discuss real soon this weekend more about etcs..

  • Yeah, RIGHT!

Deafhood - a creature in nature that do not belong, which is different from the creature to be found. It creates language through visual, create behavior as needed, create the adaptability of his/her condition ..

New words are created every minute, but these words come into the dictionary eventually, only if they are too useful.

Audism - people who want to ignore the truths, especially the deaf people exist.

  • I understand your vlog completely. I just learned about deafhood and audism very recently. "Hood" is a life that everyone have experience such as motherhood, sisterhood, fatherhood, adulthood, childhood, etc... So, you made it sense about "deafhood" It is a life that we experience. I hope it clear up for everyone else.

  • Great vlog! Well said! I love that you used word, "irrelevant" because it was one of my favorite words from Seven of Nine - she'd say it's irrelevant! :D Indeed their argument on audism not in dictionary is irrelevant. I thought it was crazy for them to say that because all words like us, humans, always evolve within time.
