Charlie was in the show for roughly the same length of time as Juliet and it feels like she was there for aaaages. I agree tho, Charlie was my fave too. He and Claire had the best relationship as it was the most genuine and most believeable

@mandosaro at first i didn't like Charlie too much...but he definatly was one of the best...he was one of my favourite...especially when he was with Hugo...they were very funny...another favourite character of mine was Sawyer...first he was mean and selfish...but at the end he changed!!!...he was one of the best!!!...Desmond was one of my favourite too....he was special and somehow all the action happens around him!!!....and my las favourite character was Jacob!!!...i don't know why lol!!

For example if a singer sings about himself fewer people would like the song, but if the singer sings about love or broken heart a great nuber of people will relate and will love the song. Lost is a teacher, because it shows different aspects of life, that anybody could relate to.(it's not about plants)

I think Charlie kind of embodies Lost in a lot of ways. He starts out as a lowlife, gets a second chance, and ends up a hero. I agree with the producers, Lost is very much a story of redemption.

How could you say he was the best character? There's Sayid, Sawyer, Mr. Eko. Seriously. Charlie did ONE good thing in the entire show.

Charlie's death is the saddest moment, or second saddest moment (to Boone's death, even though I cared way more about Charlie). He died heroically thinking Claire would get rescued and I'm sure if he could've chosen his death, getting her off safely would've been the way he would choose. R.I.P. My friend told me while i was watching the 1 season that charlie dies. that night i saw the episode where he was hanged and teared up terribly. during Greatest Hits episode, i cried every moment form beginning to end, and when he did die, it was so heart wrenching i cried for an hour. and the next episode when people discovered he died, i cried more. Everyone loved charlie (unlike boone/shannon and eko etc-- John, Kate, Claire and Hurley.

@QullVideo Well Lost was good but some shows can last 10+ seasons, but others, like Lost, really did need to have an ending otherwise it really would feel like the story was not going anywhere, and when a story feels like it's going nowhere, it starts to get boring. So yeh, it would be good but it's better that that it has a Beginning, Middle and End.

I am actully watching Lost now from start to finish for the first time all on DVD (I'm on Season 5 now), it is so good having it all here.

I think it makes a lot of sense that the Life and Death melody is interwoven into Charlie's theme, since if I recall, his pseudo death was the first time we really heard Life and Death in its grandest form. I also like how the track length is 3:23. Charlie's curtain call was in episode 3x23.

I always found personally that when a character solved the problem they brought to the island like Boone's sister issues, Shannon's confidence, Jin and Sun being reunited and solving their issues, Charlie's drug use and having Claire and Sayid's ultimate redemption. So examples like these when a character has solved their problem, its like a death sentance. When they are redeemed and content that is it for them. All the characters i listed above died when their problems were mostly solved.
