  • Good video! I need to try this trick.

  • How would I do this to include 3 of myself? I can only get it to do 2 of me at once.

  • Nice tutorial ;) But if you make a mistake with the rubber, you just need to press Control + z to undo it.... o.o"

  • @hugobarroca But if you were to make a mistake right at the very beggining of editing, and only notice once you've completely perfected every bit of it (exept that one mistake), then you've got to undo the full thing, or just leave it in. With the other method, all you have to do is select the white brush and go over it! Get it now?

  • @TheRetna1111 Ok, got it ^^ And thank you, It´s a great tutorial ^^

  • What is better, this way or using the path tool?

  • @jordanlang2 I find it depends on the complexity of the image - but it's a matter of personal preference, really.

    chey.tbaby@hotmail.co.uk

  • @mariana12386 I do tutorials, not commissions. But seeing as you have just given your email address to EVERYBODY on the internet, you may get some help from complete strangers soon. Or spammed to within an inch of your life.

  • @malgalin LMAO!!!

  • @malgalin Maybe you could have deleted her post AFTER replying with your smart-ass comment to her EMAIL! That way she won't continue getting even more email and you will have a facade of not being condescending and smug.

  • wht program are u using in this video to record?

  • @ambarubiroxs BBFlashback Recorder Pro

  • @malgalin is BBFlashback Recorder Pro free?

  • @ambarubiroxs The Pro version isn't, but there is a free version which just has fewer features. Google it and it's the first hit.

  • good job bro..thanx 4 the help

  • these tutorials are very helpful, thanks for uploading them :D

  • Just an observation--why is the door knob on the door behind you so high? Most are about 40% above the bottom of the door (60% below the top.) I hope most door knobs where you are are not positioned so high.??? Good video as always..

  • I was able to do this but when I try to save to photo it gives me this message. "You are about to save the layer mask as JPEG. this will not save the visible layers." I am confused, mainly du to the fact I just downloaded gimp yesterday. Can anyone help?

  • @tetraqk right click on the bottom later at click flatten image.

  • Hi

After appling layer mask (whitfull), I selected layer mask to work on. I selected the hand brush tool and was applying black paint to the layermusk. Here I should get two results, (1) everthing behind that should be visible and (2) part of layer musk should keep turning black. In my case nothing happened in this stage. I am using Gimp 2.6, os windows 7. Please help.

  • @nayandv I don't quite understand your question, could you please clarify?

  • superb man thanks

  • thanks for the help!!!

  • Malgalin, thanks for the video, I am very new to Gimp and I found your clone vid very helpful.

  • Nice tutorial

And thanks for the video capture software

  • really cool :D

  • Do you know how to get one of the people in the photo to have a ghostly apearence? or does it have to be both people in the photo, when you turn the opacity down?

  • @smileyface702 Before you merge the layers, turn the opacity down half way on the one you are superimposing.

  • @malgalin I didnt merge the layers together and they opiacity still went down for both of the layers.

  • @smileyface702 It should work as explained. Are you using the most up to date version? This may be a bug.

  • @smileyface702 Im using the same verson as you.I hope it's not a bug! It's ok, I figured out another (more comlicated) way of doing it. Thanks for the help and advice :)

    PEACE - love your vids!

  • Thank you so much (: This trick is very easy. Thanks again!

  • Keep up the good work. You'll encounter the occasional negative viewer. I enjoy your vids very much!

  • This tutorial is a little too long this guy takes 1 minute to explain something simple

and seriously has he ever heard of a undo button?

  • @pokeplatinum62 I have a qwerty keyboard that doesn't have an undo button. Is that on Macs or something?

  • @malgalin Oh no an "undo button" on every computer. The shortcut is crtl and z

this can be directly accessed under edit and can also be changed by edit>keyboardshortcuts>edit>undo>click and then do the shorcut on your keyboard. And your tutorial even though longer than i would want, actually helped me make so cool images

  • Thanks for the Tutorial.

  • You actually happen to be somewhat gorgeous, thanks for your video playback. it's pathetic i live in Seltzer for the reason that i cannot obtain great makeup, nonetheless i find cost-free samples of makeup from 'Gratis Makeup Samples'. i adore Max factor make-up!

  • @songbirdcrackdsg Somewhat?! I am STUNNING!

  • great tutorial but how do i get the layer menu to be popped out like that?

  • @Ashleyiscrazyy ctrl+l

  • y ur elbow so red?

  • @TOOVOOT because I have a skin disease - next question...

  • Cool

  • oh my god u r sooo helpful :D

  • thank you.

  • hey can u do one with three im kinda confused and i have been trying to do it but it dosent turn out good it would be very helpful if you do

  • @armandoduzel16 As Itold Klarkstyle: For a really easy work around, after you make the first clone, merge the two image layers (ctrl+m) and then import your next clone layer (the third clone image) and repeat the process as shown in the video.

I may make a tutorial for this, but it will be at least a month away.

  • i did this b4 he put this up

  • @shadow403 Who gives a fuck?

  • @ggnome213 I don't know. I'm guessing no one?

  • I successfully made a clone of my self (1 clone 2 people), but I tried to do two or more clones and I really couldn't figure it out. Based on this tutorial it didn't work, but for 1 clone it did. help? thanks.

  • @klarkstyle I might make a tutorial explaining how to do this for more than one clone - but it is pretty simple. For a really easy work around, after you make the first clone, merge the two image layers (ctrl+m) and then import your next clone layer (the third clone image) and repeat the process as shown in the video.

  • @malgalin DUDE! you're awesome! it worked, and it looks great. thanks a bunch, and I look forward to using more of your tutorials as weekend projects. Do you think you could make an Avatar tutorial? that would be great.

  • @klarkstyle You mean blue face style avatar? I was considering a Blue Face Avatar vid but went off the idea - since you want one I'll add it to my list and it may get made one day!

  • @malgalin yep, that's the one! or a maybe how to make a video with a light saber, using gimp, but thanks for the help!

  • @klarkstyle I'm sure there are tutorials on how to make light sabers in gimp already by other you tubers? I usually don't bother making tutes if good ones already exist that I'm aware of. If it turns out you don't find them helpful, let me know and I'll consider making a tute...

  • found this tutorial very interesting, gonna have a go!!!!!!!

  • how do you get the layer box open?

  • @ResidentDevils ctrl+L

  • @malgalin thx bro haha a little to late but i already figure it out on how to do it xD

  • Nice to see a new way doing this :) i used to cut and paste before, but this way looks way easier, thanks!

  • thank you sir!

  • Great! Congratulations from a stranger on the life improvements. And thanks for the various tips in this tutorial, I like the range of topics it covered.

  • Awsome what gimp version do you use.

  • congrats on your marriage. Your wife is lucky! You're very intelligent.

  • You could just merge the 2 layers together and it would do the same thing. Doing it this way you won't have to worry about mistakes :)

  • Comment removed

  • he already did that

  • Thanks for this video tutorial! Helped me alot :)

  • LOVE IT!!

  • Malgalin, you're tha man ;) Great to have you back ^^

  • I like your German :P

  • Comment removed

  • Nice! Unfortunately you got a more or less british (?) way of talking, I couldn't understand that much. I'm from Germany, I have to say, and I do watch english tutorials very often so it would be helpful when the people who explain everything talked a little mire clearly... Wah I'm baad in explaining things in English!!

  • Es tut mir wirklich leid...aber Ich spreche keine Deutsche. Ich werde versuchen, deutlicher zu sprechen.

    Dankeschön!

  • Ah no Problem, you don't have to answer in German! But thanks!

  • ummmmmmm...... deine mutter? lol :P had to say it

  • @malgalin im from germany too and i think its more understandable than the most tutorials on youtube.

  • amazing! This is a really good inspiration for me to go to wider aspects of gimp for my videos..Thanks

  • Great vid!! You explained each step very clearly. Thanks for posting!

  • @ja906 clearly? more like overexplained

  • @pokeplatinum62 - I understand how you can take that position. He is very detailed in his instructions. However, you have to consider that I was a noob with GIMP when I first viewed this vid.

I have since gained a familiarity with the program which, if I was to view the vid now, I would more inclined to agree with you to some degree. When I feel that way about an instructional video, I either choose a different (shorter) one or jump ahead to the part I need. Either way, keep on GIMPin'! :)

  • you talked 10 minutes, for a job that could have been done in 3 minutes... but, nice work ;)

  • you look cool

  • Oh, I assure you, I am...

  • ha!!!

  • Brilliant! A to the point description of how to use the layer mask. Thank you!

  • Malgy has a new vid? Crazy.
