I build arcade machines for people from scratch (I build the cabinet and usually use an HD TV as a monitor depending on what the customer wants). MAME machines are becoming pretty popular. In my line of work, we just stick a computer into the machine mostly because it's WAY easier than this method. This is more of a "poor man" method, and most of my customers are definitely NOT poor. MAME arcades run anywhere between $2,000 and $11,000.
"please no cheap shots at my lousy accent." haha your funny man. Your cab is nice, I had to take mine up art to upgrade it a bit... Throwing in a xbox 360
well i kept it , but i was wondering the board is in perfect condition. but the metal slug board has 2 humungous cartidges on it. is any of this worth anything , like the coin door. the control board? cuz i was gonna replace it with xarcade so i could simply use a usb port instead of wiring them all up
hah sounds like mine i found a discarded metal slug machine and removed the insides and replaced it with a computer and new screen that was compatible
yes i realise that.but idk how to get rid of windows,so it doesn't show.i found a site but it just confused me.and some other stuff.plus i don't have the money at the moment so i don't need to worry right now
On windows, it's called soft15khz by sailorsat. You should have no problems googling for it. If you want to see how it looks compared to not using it, look at my videos for one titled "native vs scaled" comparison video.

Salut,
