Awesome, I've only heard the version off of Mr.Fantasy. This is more instrumental, which I can appreciate, but damnit if I don't miss those jazzy vocals.
On my album this was called "Just For You" and the beginning had a bunch of blacks just basically saying stuff like "I dig jazz, I mean that's where I'm at."
definitely the best version! same instrumental track as album version minus the opening vocals. But what vocals! "life is worth living and living is giving to you" Doesn't that sound like the quintessential 60's thought? Together with Paper Sun, an exquisitely unusual pop song, coming completely out of nowhere, fully formed. What a double sided single! An unheralded gem if there ever was one!
@fidomusic He did a movie the outsider where he played ira hayes the pima indian that raised the flag on iwo jima and died of alcoholism on a reservation gregory walcott played his drill instructor watch the rifleman episode tension with walcott and his interviews
fwuckin great. winwood's still creating awesome stuff like this. surprised no one has posted mozambique or ballad of a rock and rolla. such a fine collection of masterpeace after masterpiece. forty something years of elloquent music. thanks
"Just for You and Giving to You", are Different Songs [Traffic] On Different Albums ..But, It's Jazz ...Capaldi saying it...

I much prefer the opening of this version to the version on the album.
