suzie was robbed, raped and stabbed so she thanked god for not only surviving so she DIDNT go to a better place but also for being blessed with a child
@109367 No. That makes you a sheep. I am not a sheep because I liked it after watching. You need to get some help, you might start growing a luxurious wool coat.
awesome video! lol the music reminds me of Desperate Housewives". but yeah its scary that theres millions of Suzy's living their lives in pretend-land. Whats worse is when those people are people you love and they refuse to wake up.
@Xystosis Dur i aint 100% sure if there a god up thur or not but i cant say if thur iz or there aint maybe thur iz he just dont wont 2 b sawed1!!1!! Stoopud Athieest dont u now u cant tell if thur a man in the sky or not aint no humon got no sceniece.
@Starwars1442 What the fuck is this incoherent reply full of disjointed ideas? Learn how to think and formulate a sentence before you call anyone stupid.
@chuckluck53 That's why it's called faith: believing in something that you're not sure about. If we had proof that it is true, it wouldn't be called believing anymore, it would just be fact. That's why I hate those fucking fundamentalist christians who say that they don't "believe" in evolution.
religion=blissful reasons not to help your fellow man, stop being so ignorant and if you see someone that needs help. help them don't pray for some magic that will never happen, get off your ass and HELP!
@Bookwyrm86 What problems can man solve without God?
We can't even save ourselves! It's only by the grace of God were saved.
Just like King Solomon said you work all day building a house, working hard for your money then die for someone else to come along & enjoy your labors. It's all vanity!
Instead lay up for yourself real treasure in heaven where moth nor rust can enter in & no theif can steal. For where your heart is that's where you treasure is & my hearts on home, heaven with Jesus!
@lewiss1100 You work hard to leave a better world behind for those who came after you, when I die I will look back on my life and see how even small things I have done helped people. We should live for the next generation and the productivity of our race, there is no god and no after life so stop worrying about that and make this world a better place for those to come. Simply being nice to people could put them in a better mood and start a chain reaction of niceness. :)
@Jelloz104 Yes, we as christians love one another & help each other. The bible tells us to help out our children & grandchildren. God is real & soon He will set up His kingdom upon the earth. All the resurected saints shall rule & reign with Christ for 1,000 years then eternity will begin. Yes, we need to live for today, for tommorow is not promised us. But, live in Jesus. For to die without Him is only death & hell.
@lewiss1100 So you don't help those of other religions? Or Atheists? Because as a collective, all other religions and non-believers outweigh you vastly.
@MyFishIsTwonk I help everyone I can even enemies. Just as I'm trying to help you by sharing God's word, so you also maybe saved! Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves. That doesn't mean I agree with false religion, but I still love everyone the same.
Numbers don't matter. Gideon defeated a vast army with only 300 soldiers & God by his side. A small child, David, killed the giant Goliath with God's help.
So, you see if God be for me who can be against me?
@MyFishIsTwonk Your either for God or against Him. If your against Him you have no part in the kingdom of God. Yes, those are my enemies, but I still love them none the less. True not all unbelievers are "against" christians & many are morally good, but still against God.
@lewiss1100 So you're saying that your god will not allow people that are morally good into his Kingdom? He doesn't sound like such an understanding omniscient being...
@MyFishIsTwonk Exactly! God will not allow any sin into heaven. Only those covered in the blood of Jesus are made white as snow & their sins forgiven.
An example would be if someone was covered in mud & I put a white sheet over that person, even though the mud is still on them I could no longer see it.
That is similar to the blood of Jesus covering our sin, so Father God no longer sees our sin & we are forgiven. But, those who don't accept that free gift don't have the blood covering.
That ought to be the most profoundly immoral teaching of all of religions, what's more pitiful is that you reduce your ethical understanding to such a pathetically low level as that of your God.
We have an all powerful, omnipotent and omniscient being who designs a system wherein, in perfect knowledge, he dooms mankind by his own rules and decides not to forgive them, but to come to the Earth sacrificing himself to himself so that he may take away your responsibility.
@KrugmanTheKing God did decide to forgive us, He made a way where there was no way for us to be saved. Just as high priest in the tribe of Levi sacraficed lambs once a year for the sins all the people, Israel, Jesus died once & for all for the sins of the whole world.
It is our responsiblity to accept His sacrafice & serve Him. Failure to do so is death in the lake of fire.
I told you that someone who makes the rule of a game and is willing to forgive you wouldn't throw away your responsibility by sacrificing his own person to himself and not in such a way as to recover himself in the process and, last of all, surely not to make up for the transgression of a rule he himself made.
Least of all things would he choose an absurd manner like a book and then hold us accountable for a threat he himself set upon us.
And, again, the best he got of telling people that if they didn't do certain things, he would damn them is by having anonymous author write books, of which he knew we would loose the originals without sources that would be handed down, and that would be translated and copied and translated.... and the best part is how he argues his case: "You got to believe me because my mother is a virgin"; or because, like many others at the time, I rose from my grave.
@KrugmanTheKing The word of God is eternal. Man has tried to burn bibles & kill those who tried to copy them for future generations, yet His word remains to this day.
God protects what is His. I've heard of houses burning down & people losing everything yet the bible somehow survived. That's a miracle from God, protecting His Holy word.
The bible of today is very close to the original Word. There are a few minor differences, which those who desire can learn the original language & study.
How do you know it's the word of God? Because it's written in it?
If I told you that I am the word of God. How do you know I am not? Because you'd verify it elsewhere than within the same work since you're not an imbecile.
Why don't you do the same with the Bible? Because you can't think for yourself. You need Big Brother to tell you what to do and what to believe because you have lost all consideration for your own person: you surrender your judgment to a wicked authority.
Christianity is immoral, I told you why and all you got up with are the rantings of a apologists, rehearsing his speech in front of a wall, but least of all did you address the idea I brought up.
I told you it was immoral: I had put doubt on it and you then think that abiding to the very teachings I called immoral and stupid would make me change my mind? Of course it won't. You have to loose elsewhere as in, you have to judge the Bible and evaluate it.
@KrugmanTheKing Hi, I'm a Christian, and even I can see that lewiss1100 is merely ranting in his ignorance. One thing everyone should realize is that the Bible was written by different people in different time periods, and thus has contradictions. Therefore, if anyone tries to follow its literal word, he will fail. The purpose of the Bible is for people to read it and evaluate it, as you said, and try to differentiate the B.S. from the more reasonable truth.
@KrugmanTheKing That's what's so flawed about certain parts of Christianity. They need to realize that the Bible wasn't some magic book that floated down from heaven.
@Xystosis I have yet to find reasonable truth in the bible. All I find is fables and lies; beautiful touching mythical stories about some people who may or may have not existed in some places that may or may have not existed. The fact remains, people believe there is something good in the bible. The only good thing I've found in the bible is entertainment, I read it like Harry Potter or a Superman comic book.
@happyraver1958 The new testament is full of contradictions and very hard to navigate. However, If you read the old testament, you would find that a lot of it is historically accurate, such as which king killed which other king, the journey of the Israelites, ect. However, the rest of it is, as I've said before, up to faith, which is the basis of all religion.
@Xystosis You cannot have a believable myth without actual places, people and maybe even stories based on true stories. The bible may be based on true stories, but it cannot be taken seriously because of the many contradictions and because simply it has been debunked by known facts thanks to science, like evolution and the laws of physics. Faith will only push you deeper into ignorance, knowledge of the truth is what truly sets you free.
@happyraver1958 Science does not contradict christianity. The problem with many people is that they take the Bible too literally. Did God really create the world in 6 day? Hell no, and because a "day" did not even exist back then, it's logical that it is figurative. This can apply to many other things in the Bible that people take way to literally.
Remember that all the graves of Jerusalem opened and the dead ones walked again if you believe the Bible. And beyond this, all those who are witnesses to the most profound events are women -- not men who would have been believed in that time, but the social equivalent of a piece of furniture... All of this knowing that a rational person wouldn't believe a word of it unless if he takes a blind guess, to the contrary of all available evidence, that it's true.
He could have done anything he wanted and knows everything that would unfold... and that's how he decided to play it. And of all things he could have considered bad, the thing he decides to pick on is whether or not you have been deluded, whether or not you were gullible -- he cares shit about what you do or say or think because you're no longer responsible for that, but you have to take headlessly a claim for granted and that makes your character closer to his?
It couldn't be God as this is wicked in and of itself, even if I don't look at the horrors and stupid statements made in the Old and New testament which are also immoral.
And, by the way, we cannot be morally good by your own standard because the good is God's will. In Christian theology, whatever God wills is the best because he is omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent -- we can't be moral and be against God and that's very clear in your Holy Book.
The other option is that this is fabricated... well, it most likely is. Have you seen Maher's Religulous? He presents many cults with corresponding time and space, but different origins, that basically are made exactly like the Christian myths are.
@lewiss1100 I don't suppose you can prove any of this with evidence?
No? I didn't think so. I'll go on living in this world. Be happy in your fantasy land.
Guess what: We've solved far more problems than religion has. Ever. Smallpox? Bubonic Plague? Believers prayed for God to end these terrible plagues. Smallpox is all but eradicated, and the Plague only rarely turns up. Why? Modern medicine. No demons, no possessions, no exorcisms needed.
Suzie ought to pray for an extra finger on each hand. But if she doesn't get a normal amount of digits on each hand, then she may say it is of "god's will."
Wait, so is this to be the model for all Christians? because , I am sure, Jesus instructed his believers to go out into all the world and help to needy and sick. I think this view is slightly eschewed. There are just as many non activist or lazy atheists as Christians.
@TheSuperman1221 you're missing the point there, nobody is saying that team A or Team B is harder working or lazy. Its simply sayiny that Christianity is a load of bollocks. Its not saying that the people who follow Christianity are/not lady.
@gateshead1000 Actually if we look the bible in a good way... I'm atheist and all that, but I know that It was wrote to help others and have an order in society
I always say... Don't tell me what the hell is in the bible, just do good :)
@jeanelbicho3 I'm not sure I can agree with that. The bible isnt a book, its many texts written by different authers in different time(and doctored/edited by different people, texts selected and deselected then translated and mistranslated).there wasnta single preconcived purpose, but many purposes, some good, some bad, some by madmen,or those thirsty for power,or to consolidate power. Now,some cherry pick to do good, but the bible prescribes slavery, infancideetc.Problem:people believe in itsliteral word
@jeanelbicho3 I'm not sure I can agree with that. The bible isnt a book, its a compendium of texts of many different authors in different times. It was not written for the public good, but by and for the very few who were in power at that time, sort more power or to consolidate it. Your second point, that it is a force for good,it provides instructions on how slaves should be kept, prescribes rape,ORDERS stoning of anyone working on the sabath or using the lords name, glories in infancide.
@TheSuperman1221 nobody is saying that atheists/christians are/not lazy.As for good works, yes, and the bible also instructs on keeping slaves, rape, killing of anyone working on a sabath(or just collecting fire wood!)and men who would give their children are heroes. If its the word of the lord, then it all is or non of it is.I think good people, like you, select the good stuff, and bad people>inclided to accept the bad stuff too.
@inkids09 wow, you are sick. Go pray for peace so you will feel better about yourself. By no means do anything about it. Then go and punish people. Sounds good. As an atheist, actions count, not prayers. I'm a paramedic in my community and try to do my small part to care for all. Not punish!
OK,,,, I agree with all of these videos and most of your points,,,, but the weird thing is,,, i feel guilty about it,, and am actually kinda worried about some sort of consequences for laughing at them or something,,, so does that mean i am a believer ,, I dont 100% believe for sure that god is real,, but my mind will not completely let me say hes not,,, what does this mean ,,, AHHHHH!!!!
@thebestanswerever I think I feel the same, I want to believe that this world is just, that those who cause suffering will be punished and those who suffer will be compensated...
but even then, I don't believe 100% that god exists...
@thebestanswerever OH NOES YOU HAVE TO FORGET! MAKE YO MIND STOP BELIEVEIN IN DIS MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE WORLD IS BLIND! BLIND I SAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT LET THE PEOPLE CONVINCE YOU HE IS REAL! ITS ALL LIES! LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES I SAY!!!!!!!11
@inkids09 But you're not God to decide how to punish us, right? Shouldn't you leave it to God's hands to make us miserable? However, I'm afraid your God isn't doing a good job in making me miserable, so how can you, a mere creation of his, make any progress?
@HeWillPrevail "But why should I care about others' feelings, especially if their life doesn't benefit me at all?"
I thought, as a Christian, you're supposed to be compassionate and not expecting any payment in return. You contradict yourself. Now, tell me, did what I say is true? The part wherein people's morals depend on their whims? Don't circle around. Just answer yes or no.
Christians do care about others while they think that others have the same belief as they do or that others might convert one day. If that others are impposible to convert, Christians will "punish" them as God usually does. That is why there were so many religious wars. (can apply to many other religions, too)
Why is stealing wrong? Because nobody wants their lunch being taken by a stranger. Why is it wrong to lie? Because everybody wants the truth.
You see, the bible's notion of morals was made from human whims for a better world. I have to say, though, that the bible did a very good job in making people more civilized and less barbaric.
@TheSesela The bible was written when humans became civilized... that's how we knew how to write. the bible didn't change anything, every advancement in everything was because of the hard work of scientists, engineers and overall people who don't spend their Sunday mornings eating donuts at church.
@TheSesela "Why is it wrong to lie? Because everyone wants the truth." This is assuming that our morals come from what other people want, not what I feel is right. So, if somebody wants me to do something I feel is wrong, am I actually committing a moral wrong by not following their orders or feelings?
Um, morals are not given by God. The Bible advocates slavery, rape, death, and genocide, things that we have morally shunned. Our moral system is higher than the Bible's. If you don't believe me, google those quotes or even read your Bible
@HeWillPrevail. I achieved the highest form of joy in this world without the so-called help of God, but with the assistance of a pink unicorn. You have no right to question my words as much as I don't have any right to refute your claims of personally experiencing God's divine intervention.
@TheSesela I cannot question your 'joy' from this unicorn. You're right. But I can see if a worldview built around it make sense. 1. Where did you get morals? The unicorn? How do you know? 2. Where do you get laws of logic? A worldview built around the unicorn makes no sense.
@TheSesela I can explain. Morals? God. Logic? We reflect God's thinking. How do I know this? The Bible. And how do I know if the Bible is true? Because if it wasn't, we wouldn't have a rational basis for morals or logic.
@HeWillPrevail I can explain either, but with sarcasm. Morals? Pink unicorn. Logic? I reflect the unicorn's way of thinking. How do I know this? Fairy tale books about unicorns. And how do I know if the unicorn is true? Because if it wasn't, we wouldn't have a rational basis for morals or logic.
Oh, there's an error there. There are other rational bases for morals and logic. For example, why do people make murder seem evil? Common sense: nobody in their right mind wants to die.
@TheSesela You say fairy tale books explain this. How do you choose which stories are to be trusted. I am sure there are plenty of fairy tales that contradict each other. You say the same thing about the Bible, but I don't believe it. You say murder is wrong because nobody wants to die. But why should I care about others' feelings, especially if their life doesn't benefit me at all?
@TheSesela Whether you profess belief in God is not relevant to the point. I say that your life is God, and the fact does not change whether you believe it or not.
@HeWillPrevail And who are you to tell me such things? It's mine, not yours or even this God of yours. The decisions I make is not made by him, but rather my mind. To tell me otherwise is absurd.
All you see is people defending their beliefs because losing the credibility of that beleif becomes painful. Hence the devout emotional investment theists put into their 'discussions'. Atheists do the same also. But at the end of the day, atheism is score a billion against theism. That's why I'm agnostic. atheism makes perfect sense, but who knows if there is a god or not.
You believe that God does not exists because you cannot see Him. So why you believe there is gravity force, the time you never saw it with your bare eyes. Or why you believe there are molecules, the time that without microscopes, or other means you never saw them with your eyes? Or why you believe in the Evolution theory, the time you never saw the evolution of species? You know, duality theories are not working all the time!!
« You believe that God does not exists because you cannot see Him »
No, there's lots of reasons why I don't believe gods exist. The fact that methodological naturalism seems to be doing an awesome job in explaining natural phenomena features heavily in it.
Notice that I am not claiming that it is impossible for gods to exist. I do not believe gods exist, but I would not claim to know for sure or be able to prove they don't.
Because evolutionary theory is both falsifiable and verifiable through observation. And because all data currently available to us seems to be consistent with what would logically follow from the claims of evolutionary theory being true. I think that you would benefit from a little 'Scientific Testability 101'.
@wasdare32 Yes i know..there are things like He is not giving me money, why He doesn't stop war, earthquakes, tornado's, diseases or other things, right? Human has the free will, so whatever happens in this world and has to do with human alone, it is his responsibility. Furthermore, if all the other things weren't exist, imagine how it would be? What short of world it would be? Our world has difficulties, so for the people can improve themselves and reach Him and never forget Him.
@imperialman1988 you just made the free will argument. Because of this anything that you say now is lost and moot. The free will argument makes your god weak, arrogant and evil. So try again.
@NathanWubs You know, gaining something, whatever it is, needs work and patience. Some people think that if God loves us, then why does He repay us. You know, everyone is getting their repayment, according to the actions everybody did and you know that this happens in every case. Free will is not an argument, it is a point and it is something that everybody has, and this isn't moot. Furthermore, it is not MY God, but everybody's God.
@imperialman1988 Also, science depends on the fact that the future reflects the past. Laws of science are constant. But in your worldview based on "science", how do you know the future will reflect the past? If you can't answer this you are inconsistent with your worldview. You would not make an argument on YouTube if you truly believed laws of logic might change by the time I read it. How do you know the future reflects the past?
@HeWillPrevail Also Socrates said: Ἓν οἶδα ὅτι οὐδὲν οἶδα(i know that i know nothing) and nobody can deny something and much more the existence of God. So the duality questions can't help you prove something.
I find it funny how them "believers" comes on an Atheist channel. Is it because for a fraction of a second, you doubt "Your God"? If so, that makes you a sinner, you're going to "Hell" with the rest of us. Oh and, lots of you have inks bout God, and most you chicks have piercings.. well guess what!! You're sinners!! Going to Hell too. So instead of coming on an Atheist channel trying to "change" us, make your self a "better Christian" first, cause you're not any better than us...SINNERS! =p
@soucy22 I'm sorry if i made you think I believe I am perfect. I am not. I am constantly trying to get closer to God. But...Hell is not decided on whether we doubt God. Jesus' blood paid for all sins, even doubting. I am a sinner, I am freely admitting that. But even so, a sinner can still lead another one to God. I once heard a great analogy, "Evangelizing if like one beggar telling another where to find food." We are the beggars, and God is the food.
@HeWillPrevail I was not personally referring this at you, but since you seem to love hanging out on Atheist Channels and leaving comments on every single videos, I'll gladly reply to you. Good for you if you have something to believe in and that keeps you from doing anything wrong. Sucks for you that you are living in fear (don't say you aren't cause you are... Afraid to deceive your God so you don't get saved... that's fear my friend). But you're only a child still.
@soucy22 As for living in fear, you are partially true. One of the reasons I accepted Jesus as my savior is to avoid Hell, I was afraid of the punishment for my sin. As for LIVING in fear, I am afraid you are wrong. I don't live in fear. My place in heaven is secure. No matter what sin I commit, I'm not going to lose my place in heaven. If have to be perfect to get to heaven, then I'm not going because i'm not perfect. But, my place is secure because of Jesus' blood.
@HeWillPrevail Ooooooh! Oh ok... So now, if you grow up being corrupted and abuse kids and kill some people you won't lose your spot in "Heaven"...
Got it! ;)
Please kid, go preach else where than on an Atheist Channel... Cause the only thing you make me think right now is that you're an Atheist in denial, you have LOTS of doubts and you're seeking answers through us. And if I'm wrong, then don't come here thinking you'll "convert" someone into "you"... Not going to happen Leave this channel be!
@soucy22 No,I won't lose my spot in heaven. Now,I don't think a Christian would do something like that, but if he/she did, they would not lose their spot in Heaven.By the way,Jesus said that to hate your brother was to murder him.I am a Christian, and not at all afraid to admit it. As for your point about conversion, I don't convert people. God does.If anybody comes to know Christ through my messages(either now or in the future) I praise God.If not,God still has a reason for every letter I type.
you think a Christian wouldnt do such a thing? So what about those priests that molested little boys, they still have a spot in heaven cause they were the voice of God. how about those Christian prisoners that killed someone, they still have a spot cause they have complete faith in Him?!? But a person like me, who works hard, helps the poors and older people, raise my kids with lots of love, teach them right/wrong and cherish life, I wont cause I don't believe in Him?? BS!! GTFO!!
@soucy22 It's not like salvation allows you to go and sin. Salvation is so much more than a ticket to heaven. If you have true salvation, I believe your actions will reflect it. Whether those child molesters were actually Christian is up for debate. As for people who murdered before they were Christian, the blood of Christ pays for all sin. Including morals.
@HeWillPrevail if you don't have anything intelligent to say that does NOT refer on what God has does, has planned, or anything that has to do with the Bible, save us some time and dont reply. You have your head so far up your imaginary friend's ass that you don't make sens. You sadly know nothing about your own religion. You just want to believe in him cause you are afraid. So leave the athiest channel and go preach and praise your fairy tails elsewhere. Jesus fucking christ'
@soucy22 As for YOU individually,I am glad that you live the way you do.Sadly,I know many Christians (or at least they claim) that live worse than you.Even so, the criteria for heaven is stated clearly in the Bible. You are trying to tell God what is true justice. You believe that since you live a "good" life, you should go to heaven (if it actually exists, by your belief). But humans are not qualified to tell God what is right and wrong. God is all-knowing, we are not. We sin, all of us, he doesn't
@HeWillPrevail didn't you read what I said? If you don't have ANYTHING INTELLIGENT TO SAY, do NOT reply. And wtf? You're seriously dumb... you're saying.g that those CHRISTIAN priest that molested kids are not Christian? Are you kidding me? WOW crazy how Ive been wasting my time with an idiot.
Oh and one last question. do you believe in Santa! Cause you should. Hes like God. Hes never been seen, rewards the nice people, there's stories/books about him and he can go through all houses in 1 night
@HeWillPrevail He, like God, can watch and see you so he knows if you're good or not. We talk about him to kids so that they behave... just like they do with God. Hes a sweet and loving manwho will even rewatd the nautghy ones.... just like God. So I hope you also believe in Santa. It wouldn't be right if you'd say that all that is none sense and that its all a story/fairy tail.... cause quite frankly... its the saaaame story than your God!!
@soucy22 As for the priests, they may have been Christian and made a mistake, or they may not have been. See, you're using two different definitions of Christian in your argument, a logical fallacy.First in "those CHRISTIAN priest" you are using Christian as a adjective for his career. You are describing his job, not the priest. Then "not Christian", you are using Christian as the priest's spiritual standing for God.You cannot absolutely say there were Christian, just as I cannot absolutely say not
@HeWillPrevail face it... you're brain washed with none sens and all your answers to everything is the same damn stupid crap. And you still haven't told me if you believe on Santa... and why the hell are you commenting on every videos of this atheist channel. Don't say your God is making you. You're not going to change our believes with you're BS written by a couple of dudes that was high 1000s of years ago. Just drop it and go on channels for people that shares the same believes than you.
@soucy22 I don't believe in Santa. Simply put, the idea of flying reindeer and a mere man visiting every single person in the world is what I see as impossible. I know you may feel the same way about God, but I don't. As for the comments, I am not going to change anybody's mind. I a ma sinful human being who doesn't have that power. But I believe that if I give my best to serve God, then he might just use my efforts someway and somehow to plant a seed in someone's heart. God changes, not me.
@soucy22 You say the Bible was written by "a couple of dudes that was high 1000s of years ago". Please tell me how high people can do the following: 1. Predict the future 2. Write a book without any contradictions (show me an alleged error and I'll disprove it) 3. Write historical accounts of events, (historical meaning they haven't been disproved). 4. Write a book that accurately explains several scientific concepts (Earth is a sphere, universe is expanding)
@HeWillPrevail 1. Bible doesn't predict the future. Events happen and people interpret the Bible to mean something it doesn't. 2. The Bible is full of contradictions, starting right in Genesis. 3. The Bible is also full of historical events and places that appear in no ancient text at all, and most of the history is made up. 4. Actually, the Bible says the Earth is flat, the universe is stationary, and that the sun revolves around the Earth. Get over it, you're wrong.
@wasdare32 1There were clear prophecies which have been fulfilled. It is clearly stated that Israel would be dispersed and regathered later in the future, thus telling the destruction and "resurrection" of the nation of Israel. Please tell me a "contradiction" with the verses please.3 Much of the history is proven.Do research before making your claims and you'll see your statement has no basis. 4.Please tell me where the Bible said the Earth is flat."Four corners" refers to the cardinal directions
@HeWillPrevail Nostradamus predicted 9/11. Should you worship him as god too? A few correct prophecies prove nothing when 90% of the Bible is wrong. And about the history, do some research on Jesus of Nazareth. Nazareth has never existed. The Bible is the only ancient text that mentions its existence whatsoever. The Bible also has the census wrong, but I don't have the space to explain it. And if god made everything he would know that saying four corners is wrong both literally and figuratively.
@wasdare32 If you've actually read Nostradamus's prediction, it is extremely vague. The Bible CLEARLY says that Israel will disperse and then regather. As for Nazareth, absence of evidence proves nothing. The same thing has been said about the Bible before. There was a certain Assyrian king in the Bible that nobody thought ever existed, then a archaeological find proved the Bible right. I looked at the census, and saw some evidence for that as well. And 90% of the Bible is not wrong.
@HeWillPrevail Oh so absence of evidence proves nothing? I guess that explains why you're still a Christian. I'm not saying that the census never happened. I'm saying that the Bible got the year wrong and forgot to mention that the census only counted men, meaning that Mary wouldn't have had to go to Bethlehem at all. If you want to start going into the evidence part of the Bible, then go ahead. I'm assuming you support "intelligent design" too. You're the reason America is considered so stupid.
@wasdare32 Absence of evidence doesn't DISPROVE anything. As for Mary, just because she didn't have to travel doesn't mean she didn't. I looked some things up, and there our a number of possible solutions to your "problems". However, no matter what I say, I won't convince you, and vice versa. We INTERPRET evidence. The problem is with one of our worldviews. Cont
@HeWillPrevail Actually, the fact that there is no evidence for god is the biggest piece of evidence against his existence. The Bible is very interpretative. Just ask any of the 133,000 denominations of the Christian faith alone. They all believe different things. How can you say that you're right and they're wrong? That's not even including the thousands of other religions that you could support. Just because you happen to be Christian doesn't mean it's true and everyone else is wrong.
@wasdare32 When I said absence of evidence proves nothing, I was referring to historical things. But the interpretation things, I try to be right by starting with the Bible.
@HeWillPrevail Historical evidence is well documented. 2000 years ago isn't a very long time considering the Earth is billions of years old. We have a pretty clear idea of the events of the past, and the Bible contradicts a lot of this knowledge. Which is understandable considering the people who wrote it lived in a time when the sun was a moving object. The simply fact is that god doesn't exist, Christianity is a lie, and your life is controlled by ignorance and scientific rejection.
@wasdare32 You also seem convinced that because ancient people wrote the bible (inspired by God, though) the Bible is a lie. The truth is not decided by the people who say it. If an insane person comes up to you and says 2+2 is 4, it is not a lie simply because he is insane. Just because the people who wrote the Bible aren't "modern" doesn't make it a lie. The Bible must be evaluated by itself. I'm not so sure that history contradicts the Bible.
@HeWillPrevail How do you know the Bible is truth then? Just because it's written down and says that it's true and inspired by god? I can show you books that claim to be written by Zeus himself that people to this day still worship, and they have just as much evidence as you do. I am perfectly happy not knowing everything. If we don't know something right now, I wait for new information to be discovered. I don't automatically say that god did it and then refute it when we discover the cause.
@wasdare32 I know the Bible is true because it's the only way we can make sense of this world. It is the only thing that provides a basis for morality, why we have laws of logic, etc. And what were those books that claimed to be written by Zeus? And it it seems like you can't explain the origin of information. If your worldview can't explain that, then it is a faulty worldview. As of now, if your worldview was right, we wouldn't have information since your worldview provides no basis for it.
@HeWillPrevail Actually you just described every religion known to man, not just Christianity. There are plenty of religious texts from the Roman and Greek era concerning Zeus and the other gods, and they all claim to be inspired by Zeus. Religion is no longer needed. It used to explain the things that we couldn't understand, but with the amount of scientific progress that we've made in the past few hundred years, god isn't a part of the picture anymore. I put my belief in science, nothing else.
@wasdare32 No. How do Zeus followers know their God created morality/laws of logic/ etc? Do they have a text without contradictions with science/history/ or itself? I know you say the Bible is the same, but I disagree. And you say you put your faith in science. A few things. One, science cannot explain morality, where we get laws of logic, or the origin of information. (cont)
@HeWillPrevail God doesn't have to make laws and morality and logic. These things all arose from natural phenomenon. Every basic human instinct has it's roots in our primate ancestors and their behaviors. You're just afraid of the dark and don't want to die without purpose or reward. People who don't believe in god live perfectly happy lives without him. Why would god punish millions of children in Africa but decide that you should get a good parking spot at Walmart? Because he's cruel and evil.
@wasdare32 Okay, please tell me where instinct comes in with morals. I can sort of see about preserving society, but that still leaves large gaps in the theory. Hitler believed he was preserving society, yet was he moral? And why should I feel compelled to do "good" if something benefits me but hurts somebody I don't care about?
@HeWillPrevail Who's to say that Hitler wasn't moral? He thought he was preserving his "superior race", but killing people is the wrong way to go about that. Anything that causes suffering or death on the human race is wrong, especially from an evolutionary perspective. You can't pass on your genes and make the human species better if your neighbors are always killing your children and burning your home. We do "good" because it benefits the community as a whole, not because god told us to do it.
@wasdare32 "Anything that causes suffering on the human race is wrong." "We do good because it benefits community as a whole". Why, in your worldview, should I care about the whole of human race? Community's help the members survive, but you could argue, even from Hitler's perspective, eradicating an inferior people is helping the human race since the survivors will be "better". So, by your definition, you could argue he was doing what was morally right. No, your explanation can't make sense.
@HeWillPrevail You're calling Hitler evil because he wanted to eradicate an entire group of people, yet when god kills the entire population of the Earth during the flood, he's "loving"? That makes no sense either. The truth is, the god of the Bible is an evil, unjust, unloving, impersonal dictator who made people for his own pleasure then killed them because they rejected him. He doesn't even exist, yet his hatred permeates the barrier of fiction to disgust me in my every day life.
@wasdare32 Hitler is not God, and vice verse. When Hitler kills someone, he is taking a life he has no right to take. In short, murder. But when God takes a life, whether Christian or not, that life was already his. He had the right to take it back. Hitler didn't have the right to take a life.
@HolyBomb You view it wrong. Love for God has mutual rewards. Yes, God is glorified, but in glorifying God, humans also achieve the greatest form of joy. So, while God gets what he wants, in doing so he demonstrates love for humans by giving us the greatest thing we could ever have.
@HeWillPrevail my girlfriend's mother was a sweet , clever, kind and deep religious person. She always went to church, helped others, and generally believed a lot. Then suddenly while she was completely healthy she had a heart attack and.. just died. She was only 40. Where is the joy of dying like that mid-season???
@HolyBomb It sounds like she might have been Christian and had Jesus as her savior. As for the joy, it's hard to imagine from your perspective. Respectfully, an atheist can see no joy in death, unless it's getting out of this world. As for Christians, even for me it would be hard to find joy. I admit that. Death is hard to deal with. However, the joy, I believe would come from knowing your girlfriend's mother is now in perfect paradise and she lived a God honoring life.
@wasdare32 As for God, when God is ultimately happy we are ultimately happy. You seem to think love towards God isn't mutual. We praise God and get nothing in return. No, when we praise God we get something better than anything on Earth. God''s happiness. Heaven. When God created us he gave us the opportunity for perfect pleasure. Him. We had the chance to live in perfection, walk among God. But we turned away, depriving ourselves of pleasure as well.
@HeWillPrevail Also, as for the Africa idea, you have your idea wrong. Everything we have God has given to us. Our life, both for the Africans and us. The very fact the Africans are alive and not in Hell are a demonstration of God's abundant love.
@HeWillPrevail They aren't in hell when they're alive, but when 5 year olds die having never hearing the word Jesus, they automatically go to hell to burn for eternity simply for being put in the wrong place by god himself. How is that just and loving? Why is he punishing them by putting them in poverty and allowing them to die by the millions by viruses he created?
@wasdare32 True, evolution does not address where information comes from, but your worldview must. An atheistic worldview must be able to clearly say where information originated. I don't believe you can do this. Also, I watched part of that video you recommended to me. They brought up an analogy by making a person look like Satan to illustrate that mutations could add information. What they forgot to say was that the "mutation" was not by chance, but a human INTELLIGENTLY drew it on the picture
@HeWillPrevail An atheistic worldview doesn't have to explain anything. I don't have to know everything about the universe to be an atheist. Being an atheist simply means that you don't throw god in the picture every time you don't understand something. If we all did that, then science wouldn't exist. There are countless pieces of evidence where animal species have evolved when pressure was put on them from the environment. Finches are a good example of this.
@wasdare32 Let's look at something."You're the reason America is considered so stupid." This means that you believe in knowledge and information. In your worldview, where did the information come from. Where did information come from? There is no known process where information spontaneously comes from matter. And even if DNA did come out, there would have to be a cell ALREADY IN EXISTENCE to read the DNA. One more thing, there has never been an observed mutation that has increased information in DNA
@HeWillPrevail Actually, information is added in DNA all the time. If a mutation occurs and a strain of DNA is copied, that's adding new information, although the information is exactly the same as the old information. But if an addition or delete of ONE base occurs in that copied strain, the entire string of DNA after is changed radically. New proteins, amino acids, and genes. And that's just one process. There are many others that are widely observed in nature.
@wasdare32 Actually, it has been proven that mutations do not add information that isn't already present. Please give me an example where a mutation has caused a gain in NEW information that has a beneficial impact on the creature. Also, where did DNA come from in the first place. Even if it was chemically made by chance, for it to be "used" a system for reading it must have already been in place, namely a cell.
@HeWillPrevail Evolution doesn't address where the information comes from, only how it changes over time via natural selection. I would appreciate you referring me to a peer-reviewed article explaining that there is no known way of adding new information. I know there isn't one, I just want you to try anyway. Here is a video explaining the evidence for new additions in DNA: /watch?v=I14KTshLUkg
You cannot argue against evolution. It's simply impossible with all the information available.
@wasdare32 Article: Answers in Genesis: Is there really a God?" Talks about information. Now, about all your "proofs of evolution". These are all defects in genes, not adding complex information. When a mutation occurs, something beneficial may result, but the fact is, those mutations are defects. They cause more damage than good.
@HeWillPrevail I have no respect whatsoever for anything from Answers in Genesis. Sorry, but they are a biased, bigoted group of people with no education on evolution and simply look around for evidence which isn't there. They have many many articles that have been proven wrong countless times.
Corinthians 6:19, "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;"
To profane your body, is to desecrate a creation of "God", which means hell
"A double minded man shall receive nothing of the Lord! (James 1:6-8) If we believe and then doubt, believe and then doubt, this is double-mindedness."
That cat was obviously an evil atheist. I say we burn it at the stake.

Jelloz104 1 week ago
@Jelloz104 Yes, we as christians love one another & help each other. The bible tells us to help out our children & grandchildren. God is real & soon He will set up His kingdom upon the earth. All the resurected saints shall rule & reign with Christ for 1,000 years then eternity will begin. Yes, we need to live for today, for tommorow is not promised us. But, live in Jesus. For to die without Him is only death & hell.

So, you see if God be for me who can be against me?
lewiss1100 1 week ago
@lewiss1100 You refer to those who don't share your religion as enemies? Your world view is severely twisted. Religion eh...
MyFishIsTwonk 1 week ago
@MyFishIsTwonk Your either for God or against Him. If your against Him you have no part in the kingdom of God. Yes, those are my enemies, but I still love them none the less. True not all unbelievers are "against" christians & many are morally good, but still against God.
For you cannot serve two masters.
lewiss1100 1 week ago
@lewiss1100 So you're saying that your god will not allow people that are morally good into his Kingdom? He doesn't sound like such an understanding omniscient being...
MyFishIsTwonk 1 week ago
@MyFishIsTwonk Exactly! God will not allow any sin into heaven. Only those covered in the blood of Jesus are made white as snow & their sins forgiven.
An example would be if someone was covered in mud & I put a white sheet over that person, even though the mud is still on them I could no longer see it.
That is similar to the blood of Jesus covering our sin, so Father God no longer sees our sin & we are forgiven. But, those who don't accept that free gift don't have the blood covering.
lewiss1100 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@KrugmanTheKing God did decide to forgive us, He made a way where there was no way for us to be saved. Just as high priest in the tribe of Levi sacraficed lambs once a year for the sins all the people, Israel, Jesus died once & for all for the sins of the whole world.
It is our responsiblity to accept His sacrafice & serve Him. Failure to do so is death in the lake of fire.
lewiss1100 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
Have you not read what I wrote?
I told you that someone who makes the rule of a game and is willing to forgive you wouldn't throw away your responsibility by sacrificing his own person to himself and not in such a way as to recover himself in the process and, last of all, surely not to make up for the transgression of a rule he himself made.
Least of all things would he choose an absurd manner like a book and then hold us accountable for a threat he himself set upon us.
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@KrugmanTheKing The word of God is eternal. Man has tried to burn bibles & kill those who tried to copy them for future generations, yet His word remains to this day.
God protects what is His. I've heard of houses burning down & people losing everything yet the bible somehow survived. That's a miracle from God, protecting His Holy word.
The bible of today is very close to the original Word. There are a few minor differences, which those who desire can learn the original language & study.
lewiss1100 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@KrugmanTheKing Hi, I'm a Christian, and even I can see that lewiss1100 is merely ranting in his ignorance. One thing everyone should realize is that the Bible was written by different people in different time periods, and thus has contradictions. Therefore, if anyone tries to follow its literal word, he will fail. The purpose of the Bible is for people to read it and evaluate it, as you said, and try to differentiate the B.S. from the more reasonable truth.
Xystosis 6 days ago
@Xystosis
But any claim taken from the Bible remains an argument of authority... it's pointless.
KrugmanTheKing 5 days ago
@KrugmanTheKing That's what's so flawed about certain parts of Christianity. They need to realize that the Bible wasn't some magic book that floated down from heaven.
Xystosis 5 days ago
@Xystosis I have yet to find reasonable truth in the bible. All I find is fables and lies; beautiful touching mythical stories about some people who may or may have not existed in some places that may or may have not existed. The fact remains, people believe there is something good in the bible. The only good thing I've found in the bible is entertainment, I read it like Harry Potter or a Superman comic book.
happyraver1958 4 days ago
@happyraver1958 The new testament is full of contradictions and very hard to navigate. However, If you read the old testament, you would find that a lot of it is historically accurate, such as which king killed which other king, the journey of the Israelites, ect. However, the rest of it is, as I've said before, up to faith, which is the basis of all religion.
Xystosis 4 days ago
@Xystosis You cannot have a believable myth without actual places, people and maybe even stories based on true stories. The bible may be based on true stories, but it cannot be taken seriously because of the many contradictions and because simply it has been debunked by known facts thanks to science, like evolution and the laws of physics. Faith will only push you deeper into ignorance, knowledge of the truth is what truly sets you free.
happyraver1958 4 days ago
@happyraver1958 Science does not contradict christianity. The problem with many people is that they take the Bible too literally. Did God really create the world in 6 day? Hell no, and because a "day" did not even exist back then, it's logical that it is figurative. This can apply to many other things in the Bible that people take way to literally.
Xystosis 4 days ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago
@lewiss1100
KrugmanTheKing 1 week ago

@inkids09 But you're not God to decide how to punish us, right? Shouldn't you leave it to God's hands to make us miserable? However, I'm afraid your God isn't doing a good job in making me miserable, so how can you, a mere creation of his, make any progress?

I thought, as a Christian, you're supposed to be compassionate and not expecting any payment in return. You contradict yourself. Now, tell me, did what I say is true? The part wherein people's morals depend on their whims? Don't circle around. Just answer yes or no.
TheSesela 1 month ago
Christians do care about others while they think that others have the same belief as they do or that others might convert one day. If that others are impposible to convert, Christians will "punish" them as God usually does. That is why there were so many religious wars. (can apply to many other religions, too)
inkids09 1 month ago
Why is stealing wrong? Because nobody wants their lunch being taken by a stranger. Why is it wrong to lie? Because everybody wants the truth.
You see, the bible's notion of morals was made from human whims for a better world. I have to say, though, that the bible did a very good job in making people more civilized and less barbaric.
TheSesela 1 month ago
@TheSesela The bible was written when humans became civilized... that's how we knew how to write. the bible didn't change anything, every advancement in everything was because of the hard work of scientists, engineers and overall people who don't spend their Sunday mornings eating donuts at church.
TheVJackV 1 month ago

TheSesela 1 month ago
@TheSesela I cannot question your 'joy' from this unicorn. You're right. But I can see if a worldview built around it make sense. 1. Where did you get morals? The unicorn? How do you know? 2. Where do you get laws of logic? A worldview built around the unicorn makes no sense.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Doesn't make sense as much as your worldview sense built around God.
TheSesela 1 month ago
@TheSesela I can explain. Morals? God. Logic? We reflect God's thinking. How do I know this? The Bible. And how do I know if the Bible is true? Because if it wasn't, we wouldn't have a rational basis for morals or logic.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail I can explain either, but with sarcasm. Morals? Pink unicorn. Logic? I reflect the unicorn's way of thinking. How do I know this? Fairy tale books about unicorns. And how do I know if the unicorn is true? Because if it wasn't, we wouldn't have a rational basis for morals or logic.
Oh, there's an error there. There are other rational bases for morals and logic. For example, why do people make murder seem evil? Common sense: nobody in their right mind wants to die.
TheSesela 1 month ago
@TheSesela You say fairy tale books explain this. How do you choose which stories are to be trusted. I am sure there are plenty of fairy tales that contradict each other. You say the same thing about the Bible, but I don't believe it. You say murder is wrong because nobody wants to die. But why should I care about others' feelings, especially if their life doesn't benefit me at all?

Or why you believe there are molecules, the time that without microscopes, or other means you never saw them with your eyes? Or why you believe in the Evolution theory, the time you never saw the evolution of species? You know, duality theories are not working all the time!!

Our world has difficulties, so for the people can improve themselves and reach Him and never forget Him.
imperialman1988 1 month ago
@imperialman1988 you just made the free will argument. Because of this anything that you say now is lost and moot. The free will argument makes your god weak, arrogant and evil. So try again.
NathanWubs 1 month ago
@NathanWubs You know, gaining something, whatever it is, needs work and patience. Some people think that if God loves us, then why does He repay us. You know, everyone is getting their repayment, according to the actions everybody did and you know that this happens in every case. Free will is not an argument, it is a point and it is something that everybody has, and this isn't moot. Furthermore, it is not MY God, but everybody's God.
imperialman1988 1 month ago
@imperialman1988 Also, science depends on the fact that the future reflects the past. Laws of science are constant. But in your worldview based on "science", how do you know the future will reflect the past? If you can't answer this you are inconsistent with your worldview. You would not make an argument on YouTube if you truly believed laws of logic might change by the time I read it. How do you know the future reflects the past?

@soucy22 As for living in fear, you are partially true. One of the reasons I accepted Jesus as my savior is to avoid Hell, I was afraid of the punishment for my sin. If have to be perfect to get to heaven, then I'm not going because i'm not perfect. But, my place is secure because of Jesus' blood.

As for your point about conversion, I don't convert people. God does.If anybody comes to know Christ through my messages(either now or in the future) I praise God.If not,God still has a reason for every letter I type.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
you think a Christian wouldnt do such a thing? @soucy22 It's not like salvation allows you to go and sin. Salvation is so much more than a ticket to heaven. If you have true salvation, I believe your actions will reflect it.

HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Nostradamus predicted 9/11. Should you worship him as god too? A few correct prophecies prove nothing when 90% of the Bible is wrong. And about the history, do some research on Jesus of Nazareth. Nazareth has never existed. The Bible is the only ancient text that mentions its existence whatsoever. The Bible also has the census wrong, but I don't have the space to explain it. And if god made everything he would know that saying four corners is wrong both literally and figuratively.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 If you've actually read Nostradamus's prediction, it is extremely vague. The Bible CLEARLY says that Israel will disperse and then regather. As for Nazareth, absence of evidence proves nothing. The same thing has been said about the Bible before. There was a certain Assyrian king in the Bible that nobody thought ever existed, then a archaeological find proved the Bible right. I looked at the census, and saw some evidence for that as well. And 90% of the Bible is not wrong.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Oh so absence of evidence proves nothing? I guess that explains why you're still a Christian. I'm not saying that the census never happened. I'm saying that the Bible got the year wrong and forgot to mention that the census only counted men, meaning that Mary wouldn't have had to go to Bethlehem at all. If you want to start going into the evidence part of the Bible, then go ahead. I'm assuming you support "intelligent design" too. You're the reason America is considered so stupid.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 Absence of evidence doesn't DISPROVE anything. As for Mary, just because she didn't have to travel doesn't mean she didn't. I looked some things up, and there our a number of possible solutions to your "problems". However, no matter what I say, I won't convince you, and vice versa. We INTERPRET evidence. The problem is with one of our worldviews. Cont
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Actually, the fact that there is no evidence for god is the biggest piece of evidence against his existence. The Bible is very interpretative. Just ask any of the 133,000 denominations of the Christian faith alone. They all believe different things. How can you say that you're right and they're wrong? That's not even including the thousands of other religions that you could support. Just because you happen to be Christian doesn't mean it's true and everyone else is wrong.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 When I said absence of evidence proves nothing, I was referring to historical things. But the interpretation things, I try to be right by starting with the Bible.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Historical evidence is well documented. 2000 years ago isn't a very long time considering the Earth is billions of years old. We have a pretty clear idea of the events of the past, and the Bible contradicts a lot of this knowledge. Which is understandable considering the people who wrote it lived in a time when the sun was a moving object. The simply fact is that god doesn't exist, Christianity is a lie, and your life is controlled by ignorance and scientific rejection.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 You also seem convinced that because ancient people wrote the bible (inspired by God, though) the Bible is a lie. The truth is not decided by the people who say it. If an insane person comes up to you and says 2+2 is 4, it is not a lie simply because he is insane. Just because the people who wrote the Bible aren't "modern" doesn't make it a lie. The Bible must be evaluated by itself. I'm not so sure that history contradicts the Bible.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail How do you know the Bible is truth then? Just because it's written down and says that it's true and inspired by god? I can show you books that claim to be written by Zeus himself that people to this day still worship, and they have just as much evidence as you do. I am perfectly happy not knowing everything. If we don't know something right now, I wait for new information to be discovered. I don't automatically say that god did it and then refute it when we discover the cause.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 I know the Bible is true because it's the only way we can make sense of this world. It is the only thing that provides a basis for morality, why we have laws of logic, etc. And what were those books that claimed to be written by Zeus? And it it seems like you can't explain the origin of information. If your worldview can't explain that, then it is a faulty worldview. As of now, if your worldview was right, we wouldn't have information since your worldview provides no basis for it.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Actually you just described every religion known to man, not just Christianity. There are plenty of religious texts from the Roman and Greek era concerning Zeus and the other gods, and they all claim to be inspired by Zeus. Religion is no longer needed. It used to explain the things that we couldn't understand, but with the amount of scientific progress that we've made in the past few hundred years, god isn't a part of the picture anymore. I put my belief in science, nothing else.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 No. How do Zeus followers know their God created morality/laws of logic/ etc? Do they have a text without contradictions with science/history/ or itself? I know you say the Bible is the same, but I disagree. And you say you put your faith in science. A few things. One, science cannot explain morality, where we get laws of logic, or the origin of information. (cont)
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail God doesn't have to make laws and morality and logic. These things all arose from natural phenomenon. Every basic human instinct has it's roots in our primate ancestors and their behaviors. You're just afraid of the dark and don't want to die without purpose or reward. People who don't believe in god live perfectly happy lives without him. Why would god punish millions of children in Africa but decide that you should get a good parking spot at Walmart? Because he's cruel and evil.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 Okay, please tell me where instinct comes in with morals. I can sort of see about preserving society, but that still leaves large gaps in the theory. Hitler believed he was preserving society, yet was he moral? And why should I feel compelled to do "good" if something benefits me but hurts somebody I don't care about?
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Who's to say that Hitler wasn't moral? He thought he was preserving his "superior race", but killing people is the wrong way to go about that. Anything that causes suffering or death on the human race is wrong, especially from an evolutionary perspective. You can't pass on your genes and make the human species better if your neighbors are always killing your children and burning your home. We do "good" because it benefits the community as a whole, not because god told us to do it.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 "Anything that causes suffering on the human race is wrong." "We do good because it benefits community as a whole". Why, in your worldview, should I care about the whole of human race? Community's help the members survive, but you could argue, even from Hitler's perspective, eradicating an inferior people is helping the human race since the survivors will be "better". So, by your definition, you could argue he was doing what was morally right. No, your explanation can't make sense.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail You're calling Hitler evil because he wanted to eradicate an entire group of people, yet when god kills the entire population of the Earth during the flood, he's "loving"? That makes no sense either. The truth is, the god of the Bible is an evil, unjust, unloving, impersonal dictator who made people for his own pleasure then killed them because they rejected him. He doesn't even exist, yet his hatred permeates the barrier of fiction to disgust me in my every day life.
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 Hitler is not God, and vice verse. When Hitler kills someone, he is taking a life he has no right to take. In short, murder. But when God takes a life, whether Christian or not, that life was already his. He had the right to take it back. Hitler didn't have the right to take a life.

Then suddenly while she was completely healthy she had a heart attack and.. just died. She was only 40. Where is the joy of dying like that mid-season???
HolyBomb 1 month ago
@HolyBomb It sounds like she might have been Christian and had Jesus as her savior. As for the joy, it's hard to imagine from your perspective. Respectfully, an atheist can see no joy in death, unless it's getting out of this world. As for Christians, even for me it would be hard to find joy. I admit that. Death is hard to deal with. However, the joy, I believe would come from knowing your girlfriend's mother is now in perfect paradise and she lived a God honoring life.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@wasdare32 As for God, when God is ultimately happy we are ultimately happy. You seem to think love towards God isn't mutual. We praise God and get nothing in return. No, when we praise God we get something better than anything on Earth. God''s happiness. Heaven. When God created us he gave us the opportunity for perfect pleasure. Him. We had the chance to live in perfection, walk among God. But we turned away, depriving ourselves of pleasure as well.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail Also, as for the Africa idea, you have your idea wrong. Everything we have God has given to us. Our life, both for the Africans and us. The very fact the Africans are alive and not in Hell are a demonstration of God's abundant love.
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail They aren't in hell when they're alive, but when 5 year olds die having never hearing the word Jesus, they automatically go to hell to burn for eternity simply for being put in the wrong place by god himself. How is that just and loving? Why is he punishing them by putting them in poverty and allowing them to die by the millions by viruses he created?
wasdare32 1 month ago
@wasdare32 True, evolution does not address where information comes from, but your worldview must. An atheistic worldview must be able to clearly say where information originated. I don't believe you can do this. Also, I watched part of that video you recommended to me. They brought up an analogy by making a person look like Satan to illustrate that mutations could add information. What they forgot to say was that the "mutation" was not by chance, but a human INTELLIGENTLY drew it on the picture
HeWillPrevail 1 month ago
@HeWillPrevail An atheistic worldview doesn't have to explain anything. I don't have to know everything about the universe to be an atheist. Being an atheist simply means that you don't throw god in the picture every time you don't understand something. If we all did that, then science wouldn't exist. There are countless pieces of evidence where animal species have evolved when pressure was put on them from the environment. Finches are a good example of this.
wasdare32 1 month ago

@HeWillPrevail Nope.
1. The Bible did not predict the future. Things happen and idiots start screaming that they're in the Bible.
2. The Bible is full of contradictions.
3. The Bible contains very little historical accounts. It is not verified by any reliable historical source.
4. The Bible does not explain any scientific concepts. It's just a pile of myths that believers stretch and distort before calling it "truth."
"God" is simply something people made up to explain natural occurrences.
