In fact it is the first Nintendo made game with a fatal, easily done by accident and uncool glitch in the game (why the first save file update channel was released to patch it) The reason for the glitch is that two extra scenes were supposed to be made for an alternate path, but instead the events are untriggered

FIRST OF ALL, get over the graphics people. We have Cartoonish graphics like Wind Waker, which was way better IMO than TP, and then we got "realistic" graphics like TP. I don't like the look TP honestly. Also, don't complain I don't like Dark Zelda Games. I think Majora's Mask is the best of the series. I am kind of disappointed at the choices that were made that made this game so cartoonic. I didn't get into TP however I think that it was a decent game that was proper. Now it I think the target age has been lowered bringing the game to what it is today... I enjoyed the older games, especially OOT, that game was the best Zelda game. The feeling to it was just far superior to what the series has gotten to now. I don't think that I'll ever buy a Zelda game again.
i've read that the skyward sword turns into the master sword during the course of the game... i think that'd be cool :) i can't wait to find out what really happens... who gives a flying f*ck about the graphics, so long as the gameplay is good i'm happy xD .... i'm super pumped for this game ^_^

I like the dark side of zelda i dont know what you people are talking about, it shows that a zelda game can be more serious. umm i think there is still the option of Z-targetting but with wii motionplus it will give the game a more realistic style. i love Z-targetting but if you use it all the time it just becomes to automatic, and by doing it too much you realize that Z-targetting has no skill required.like i said too automatic as if the game is just doing it for you. but im sure that z-targetting will still be in this game. but it will be more fun to just fully control the sword and kill things yourself.
wait, I never complained about TP being to dark of plot, actually, what I didn't like about it was that it gave a dark atmosphere with the plot being less dark then MM. Which had a lot of happy times, but if you put both down on paper, MM wins hands down. thats what I wanted, dark times, but with more laughing times then crying times. out of all the zelda games I have played (3) I think that twilight princess is the best, probably because it's the first zelda game I have ever played and it opened my eyes to the gaming world.
they worked on gameplay first then story, but when the gameplay was already perfect they should have worked on a great story. im still buying this day 1, but i just hope it fits with the zelda timeline and that it doesn tstick out as: "oh yea, that was the one with the motion controls. we like to put this game outside the timeline as the "no story" game"
To be honest, I really fell in love with the dark story line and the deep, moody atmosphere. It was a thing of beauty! This just looks like another Wii Sports Resort they've just bunged onto the Wii scene to hit all the causal gamers. :(

theres a big difference between a beta and a demo and at last years E3 this game was a demo. but in an interview they said the beta version of this game had TP graphics but they didn't like how the monsters looked because tp graphics couldnt get as much emotion out of the characters but Cel-shaded did the job so they went with that style instead.
It's called the SS because Link will have the ability to fly back and fort between the sky island that he lives in and the land below. As for Link not having a sword, Miyamoto pointed out that Link wasn't holding a sword.When he was asked if Link would lose his sword, he just said that he couldn't say anymore. The girl is supposed to transform into the Skyward Sword and would later become the Master Sword. SS is actually a prequel to OoT. All this info was given the same day the game was shonw.

I don't think people should complain about the graphics. Of course, I would prefair if they did TP graphics, but Myamoto is a genius, even with crappy graphics in games like W W or Four Swords, he managed to make the games pretty fun to play.
AND I don't think every scenario will be happy and have mushrooms and cute monsters, because if you see the artworks or hear this game's music, you'll see that have a pretty dark feeling. AND, a new feature never seen in any Zelda: Decent Fighting Sytem....

I liked the TP graphics, I didn't love them, the gameplay was OK, i'd rather have a game as dark as Majora's, with realistic art. I'm sick of the whole WW link. I wanted a dark realistic Zelda, and I believe that is never going to happen. I stick to the IcoTeam games and the Assassin's Creed Saga, that's the closest thing to the Zelda I wanted to play, because this Zelda isn't. =/ I'm so disappointed on Nintendo, and I'm glad I sold my Wii for a PS3

@ZONICvsMARIO maybe I'm missing the whole picture here: Nintendo keeps reinventing their games to please new audiences within an age range, without thinking about the more mature audiciences who grew up with their games. When I was 10, I was into Super Mario World and not into Super Metroid, as a teenager/young adult I was into Metroid Prime and not into Mario Sunshine. Majora's Mask appealed to me as a teen, the whole angst, darkness, it still does as it features mature emotions such as grief.

@shannonsurreal it can be done for video games, a video game is defined 50% on its graphics. So far, the only reason I regret not having a Wii anymore is that I can't play Metroid Prime Trilogy, but I'm so sick of Nintendo making genious videogames childish and cartoonish. Samus at the end of Metroid Prime looked realistic, then for Metroid Prime 3, Samus was made cartoonish to resemble the cartoonish Samus from Brawl.

the graphics were made like this because miyamoto wanted the enemys to make a facial expession when you have to attack them and cel-shaded graphics were the best for that. if they kept the twilight princess graphics and maybe made them up to nintendo standard the game would have been out by now.
I was hoping for something like a Twilight Princess sequel. I loved how the game took a lot more realistic and darker approach towards the series: it did good for it.
Now that they're back to fuckin cel-shading... it better top Wind Waker.
I think it looks great! I like the graphics; it's sort of a compromise between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. And you're right, it will change quite a bit before release, as they're gonna continue working on it until 2011. That's over six more months of tweaking and bug zapping. I predict it'll be a wonderful addition to the Zelda franchise. You'll all see. :)

@ZONICvsMARIO At the roundtable conference at E3, it was confirmed that the Master Sword and the Skyward Sword are in fact one and the same, and that the SS will eventually "become" the MS, though I'm not sure how. Also, it's called Skyward Sword because according to the conference, Link is from a place above the clouds called Skyloft, hence the scene of him jumping off the cliff at the trailer's end. He goes back and forth between Skyloft and whatever land is below.
good analysis. yea the whole skyward sword thing threw me off a little. I'm actually excited about the cel shaded hybrid look to it, since the Wii IMO doesn't have the power to produce realistic looking graphics so this is a good compromise. I was hoping they would steer away from the Ocarina of Time feel, but if they are gona do it hopefully they do it right

I liked the game, but it's horrible for left handed players, making the game much more difficult...
I noticed it when a friend played the game.
The story is interesting, the villain is definitely not straight, and they added too many futuristic elements..
And there's apparently a 4th goddess added to the series, and the sword speaks and acts like a computer saying "90% probability"
I'm sure SciFi elements would work in a game that takes place in the future but not the supposed Zelda origin story

@ZONICvsMARIO SS doesn't have Wind Waker graphics. It has a form of cel-shading and is colourful, but looks nothing like Wind Waker.

theres a big difference between a beta and a demo and at last years E3 this game was a demo. but in an interview they said the beta version of this game had TP graphics but they didn't like how the monsters looked because tp graphics couldnt get as much emotion out of the characters but Cel-shaded did the job so they went with that style instead.

It's called the SS because Link will have the ability to fly back and fort between the sky island that he lives in and the land below. As for Link not having a sword, Miyamoto pointed out that Link wasn't holding a sword.When he was asked if Link would lose his sword, he just said that he couldn't say anymore. The girl is supposed to transform into the Skyward Sword and would later become the Master Sword. SS is actually a prequel to OoT. All this info was given the same day the game was shonw.

thanks for telling me old news, it was really useful! i already know all this dude, Miyamoto just threw me off when he said that link wasnt holding a sword. also i thought that the skyward sword would look different at first and then it would turn into the master sword later but it may just keep the same old look. and yes i already know about skyloft, i made this video right before i got all of the facts. no need to lecture me about this game.

I don't think people should complain about the graphics. Of course, I would prefair if they did TP graphics, but Myamoto is a genius, even with crappy graphics in games like W W or Four Swords, he managed to make the games pretty fun to play.
AND I don't think every scenario will be happy and have mushrooms and cute monsters, because if you see the artworks or hear this game's music, you'll see that have a pretty dark feeling. AND, a new feature never seen in any Zelda: Decent Fighting Sytem....

yeah thats what we all wanted! TP graphics but if you step back and look at the game for what it really is you notice that graphics dont mean anything! also yhe mushrooms you saw on that demo game wont be in the fianl version of the game!

@ZONICvsMARIO Yeah, I actually don't care much about the graphics, I don't care if the game is cel-shaded, but they could make scary and ugly monsters not those cute bokoblins... But this game will be totally worth buying, Link will be running for the first time, awesome battles, and finally some bosses will be outside dungeons, kinda like Shadow of the Colossus.

look... i hate how everyone is saying that graphics dont matter... dont get me wrong im a huge zelda fan... i beat wind waker 65 times and counting and i hold the world record fastest time... but when i saw this is seriously started laughing... i waited 5 years for this shit... its like an intro... if u have one intro that is amazing and super good 720p quality then wow... and the same intro with shitty pixelated quality, u still see the name, and u still watch the video, but which one is better

i disagree! the first zelda game is what made the zelda series what it is today, and the first game only had 8-bit graphics. what makes a good game is story/plot, game play, and controls. and i'll be waiting to see your wind waker speedrun when its on the net. i would really like to see how you beat wind waker in 5 hours, other wies your just a guy who is full of it! also why do you hate this games graphics if it pretty much has the same graphics as wind waker?

I liked the TP graphics, I didn't love them, the gameplay was OK, i'd rather have a game as dark as Majora's, with realistic art. I'm sick of the whole WW link. I wanted a dark realistic Zelda, and I believe that is never going to happen. I stick to the IcoTeam games and the Assassin's Creed Saga, that's the closest thing to the Zelda I wanted to play, because this Zelda isn't. =/ I'm so disappointed on Nintendo, and I'm glad I sold my Wii for a PS3

dude you really shouldnt let the graphics be a problem. its the legend of zelda, and yes they do throw out some dark games but it was time for a lighter adventure. besides when you say stuff like "the game play was ok" or "i like TP graphics, I didnt love them" then your just asking for a different zelda game which is what nintendo gave us.

@ZONICvsMARIO maybe I'm missing the whole picture here: Nintendo keeps reinventing their games to please new audiences within an age range, without thinking about the more mature audiciences who grew up with their games. When I was 10, I was into Super Mario World and not into Super Metroid, as a teenager/young adult I was into Metroid Prime and not into Mario Sunshine. Majora's Mask appealed to me as a teen, the whole angst, darkness, it still does as it features mature emotions such as grief.

i can understand what your saying there... yeah but with nintendo you dont get a long list of "mature" games. besides zelda is suppost to be a child-friendly game. nintendo really only throws out a dark zelda game ever once and a while. but i do understand where your coming from.

@greeneyedgeek You also have to realize that more mature audiences (adults) often aren't into the whole teenage angst thing. That appeals to teenagers, naturally, and some adults, but many of us prefer the feel of Skyward Sword (based on what we have seen so far) to a darker game.

@shannonsurreal it can be done for video games, a video game is defined 50% on its graphics. So far, the only reason I regret not having a Wii anymore is that I can't play Metroid Prime Trilogy, but I'm so sick of Nintendo making genious videogames childish and cartoonish. Samus at the end of Metroid Prime looked realistic, then for Metroid Prime 3, Samus was made cartoonish to resemble the cartoonish Samus from Brawl.

I think when link looks ADULT they should improve the graphics just like tp if this game had twilight princess graphics it was cool, another thing im left handed, so once again link is holding the sword on the right hand, this new zelda should have a option to change where do you wanna use the sword, right or left

Doesn't it seem like this game is going to be like an upgraded version of Wind Waker? Like, older version of Link?
I haven't been Zelda-game-hunting in a while, so I have yet to see what the new releases (video-wise) have been, but I think it seems like a mix of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker.
I also agree that they will most likely change with these new graphics, although they look promising.

also we dont even know the story of this game and this game is really its own game with a completely different link and something completely new, you can't really compare it to Ocarina of time.

the graphics were made like this because miyamoto wanted the enemys to make a facial expession when you have to attack them and cel-shaded graphics were the best for that. if they kept the twilight princess graphics and maybe made them up to nintendo standard the game would have been out by now.

I was hoping for something like a Twilight Princess sequel. I loved how the game took a lot more realistic and darker approach towards the series: it did good for it.
Now that they're back to fuckin cel-shading... it better top Wind Waker.

I think it looks great! I like the graphics; it's sort of a compromise between Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. And you're right, it will change quite a bit before release, as they're gonna continue working on it until 2011. That's over six more months of tweaking and bug zapping. I predict it'll be a wonderful addition to the Zelda franchise. You'll all see. :)

uuuhhh hate to bust you bubble but phantom hour glass was the sequal to wind waker... and dude thats just the demo, they may have a different sword.
*hint* "skyward sword" and the "master sword" are two different weapons but i could be wrong. we should just wait and see the final version.

@ZONICvsMARIO At the roundtable conference at E3, it was confirmed that the Master Sword and the Skyward Sword are in fact one and the same, and that the SS will eventually "become" the MS, though I'm not sure how. Also, it's called Skyward Sword because according to the conference, Link is from a place above the clouds called Skyloft, hence the scene of him jumping off the cliff at the trailer's end. He goes back and forth between Skyloft and whatever land is below.

good analysis. yea the whole skyward sword thing threw me off a little. I'm actually excited about the cel shaded hybrid look to it, since the Wii IMO doesn't have the power to produce realistic looking graphics so this is a good compromise. I was hoping they would steer away from the Ocarina of Time feel, but if they are gona do it hopefully they do it right

yeah dude i just checked out the game play and its amazing! the controls are a more "do it yourself" and not so much "Z targeting". also you can run and jump at your own will!! for people who hate this game, they really just need to shut up! like i said we got something different.
