I have searched for years for this LP since I lost it (garage sale). I want my grandkids to hear the songs. I sing all of them from memory, but I just can't find any trace of it's existence. The songs were totally different from the regular Peter Pan album. Can you help? Can anyone?
Tomorrow is my moms bday and i have been missing her terribly. This was THE SONG we used to sing together when i was a little girl! That was us....its almost like I can hear her singing it with me
@encartaphile I'm sorry, I'm not sure. Been packing and unpacking and am not sure where it is. I better find it though! If/when I do I'll let ya know unless someone here does first.
THANK YOU! I've been looking for this for ages too! all the songs actually. I still know all the words to the songs and I'm pretty sure I have the tape to it too somewhere in the garage...:D
Does anyone remember where this is from? I remember as a child listening to this and all the other Peter Pan songs, like the one about never growing up - "never have to go to school, never have to wear a tie.... never having to do anything you never want to do..." but cant remember if it was a book that you read along with a cassette tape or what it was.
@laralovesfrogs It's from the LP "A Musical Story of Peter Pan" from Peter Pan Records (originally # PP5004, reissued as # 8052). The part that you posted was not released on any other record.
I uploaded it from the 10 Little Indians LP. They didn't include the intro on the LP, but it sounds a bit better without the warp from the 45. I also have uploaded some other Peter Pan stuff too so if anyone is interested check my listings.
This record is on iTunes, as a single track album - Peter Pan, By Studio Group. Spent a long time searching - several copies of original record are now on Ebay, A musical story of Peter Pan
I had that record when I was 3 or 4 years old. It sounds a little warped or something, but it's still nice to see/hear this on YouTube. I hope you aren't forced to remove it.
The song was originally released as part of the LP presentation of "A Musical Story of Peter Pan" (Peter Pan/Diplomat # 5004 and Peter Pan #8052) and later as a stand-alone song on "10 Little Indians" (Tinkerbell #3303), among others.
I landed on a forum where people were also searching for this song and someone mentioned it was on a 45 with Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on one side. I've seen it twice on ebay.
Thanks so much for posting, great song :)

And the song goes like this:
'Cause you never go to school, never wear a tie
Never have to work, never have to cry.
Never wash your face, never comb your hair
Never go to bed, never have a care!
Never have to do nothing you never want to do!
