These two did the honorable thing. They never did anything wrong & yet you could tell they fell in love with each other. I absolutely lost it at the end scene by the elevator. Oh my gosh, the look on his face when that door closed...And how she was trying to hold back tears in the cab to the pyramids - it was reminiscent of that sad scene in "The Bridges of Madison County" when Francesca had decided to stay in the car with her husband. Oh! Just heartbreaking.

I thought of Bridges, too. And WOW does it capture the spirit of Cairo. From the noise, pervy guys, honking traffic, hookah cafes, pyramids, train station, and the Khan EL Khalili Bazzar, the filmmakers nailed it!

Is it just me or is the scene in 0:35 a bit repetitive in movies? It's the same one in Eat, Pray, Love. Two lovebirds exploring a foreign country with scarves hanging and what not..

I haven't seen the movie! but I got curious about it. I think that a relationship should be very carefully treated as feelings, if they're not fed ,tend to dissipate in time. It must be difficult for a married woman to fall in love with another man. I guess you can't control who you fall for or what you feel, but you can actually control what you do having those feelings. It's difficult to do the right thing, but doing what you know is wrong will eventually make you feel worst. Sad but true.

however, i should be fair, some people are very helpful. i was alone in the street at midnight and those guys scared me, they were staring, yell at me sth in arabic and laugh. they were stupid animals. i went into a cafe which is still open at the time and asked for help. a guy gave me tea and water for free and he left his job and walk with me to the hotel. what he did was nice all in all.

Getting a divorce isn't just something that happens the second things go wrong, it's a gut-wrenching process and many couple go years trying to salvage the relationship before it completely falls apart, or just pretend nothing's wrong and try to keep on.

As I said, it's obviously a spur of the moment thing. Meeting someone who really cares about you is probably the straw that broke the camel's back.
