@AceOfTricks007 ... start looking at comic shops / hobby shops. A lot of the time they stock the figurines you are looking for (the pewter paintable ones). For an easy fix just google Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures. Its a game in itself but the figurines are sweets and come all plastic and painted. Hope this helps.

I am pretty sure there are campaigns and missions using the dnd miniatures that is just like playing the original game which is based out of books. Besides if there are not any missions or campaigns you can go a little further and create your own. D and D in any capacity is only limited by imagination.

This may be the wrong time to be filming in the plotline of the story, but it seems like the players didnt have much of a chance to do anything here and were just listening to narration. I'm not claiming I am the best, but action action action is always at the forefront when I run a session...just some advice.

This is not a good session because of two reasons: The PC's are freakin annoying and don't seem to be interested enough in the game to stay focused; the DM is not capturing their imagination because he is disturbed by the PC's immature behaviour.
