Stewardess..Yes, sir ? " I want to complain about this airline. Everytime I fly i get the same seat, I cant see the inflight movie and there are no window blinds so i cant sleep. " Captain, shut up and just land the damn plane" !

well..mmm....if you are a certified Billiionaire like Howard Hughes then you could start by buying your own Airbus aircraft starting with of course the worlds largest double decker commercial aircraft with a hefty price tag of HALF A BILLION DOLLARS... $ 475 million for the plane & $ 150 million in custom upgrades...im talking of course to the juggernaut AIRBUS A380 aircraft....but then again your not Howard...huhuhuhu...
hey buddy! try d newest & hottest attraction in Singapore. The Flight Experience. They hv amazing instructors & unbelievable graphics just like the AVATAR film.. It comes highly recommended & is located near d Singpre Flyer. If u fancy flying then thats d closest thing u could ever get into flying a real modern heavy duty plane.
tower -> PAL346 taxi into position & hold runway 25L ; copy position & hold 25L PAL346 ; PAL346 - > tower its 346 ready for takeoff sir ; tower - > ok PAL346 winds are calm runway 25L you are cleared for takeoff ; cleared for takeoff 25L PAL346 - throttle on full thrust !!! rolling on the runway now...airspeeds alive on both sides ! nose on the centreline..
I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky. I think about it every night and day. Spread my wings and fly away. I believe I can soar. I see me running through that open door hoohhoor. I believe I can fly!!! I believe I can fly flaahaaaaaay...
US Airways Flight 1549 Capt. Chelsey Sullenberger during the hero's homecoming in his hometown had this to say on his role on the miracle in hudson."Circumstance determine that it was this experienced crew that was scheduled to fly on that particular flight & fate would hv it that he would steer the crippled A320 down the river. Then he closed with these honorable words. "BUT WE WERE SIMPLY DOING THE JOB WE WERE TRAINED TO DO " exemplary words from an exemplary pilot. God bless you Capt. Sully !
I agree he was calm and collected all throughout the 6 minute emergency descent. The plane was too low and too slow and they executed emergency procedures only at 3000 ft. In the final analysis it was his extraordinary aviator instinct that saved the aircraft and the passengers not the computer system.
but i think in the case of the USAir ditching, it was the proficiency and skill of the pilot that played a major role in the soft touchdown of the aircraft in the hudson river. So happened Capt. Sullenberger is one hell of a good pilot.
for sure, its seems like the A320 has some unexpected amphibious capabilities, especially if you think the pilots had not pushed the ditching button that closes all the holes of the airframe to enhance the floating abilitiy of the aircraft in water.
yes the airbus fly by wire technology win again over the Boeing hydraulic system. The Boeing purposefully kept the fly by wire system off its aircraft because they thought that the computers might not allow the pilot to have the last say in an emergency. On an airbus aircraft, the computers have the final say and will never push the aircraft past its predetermine limits.
amazing! the successful textbook ditching of that A320 USAir in hudson river, new york . the lives of the 155 passengers were literally in the left hand grip of the pilot in command. i can just imagine how he held on tightly on that stick....nice and easy baybee....radio transmission : hudson river this is USAir 1549 on emergency descent request permission to ditch...over.....hit birds lost thrust...and descending rapidly !
