@jaredmankly Well I've never heard of this "chaykovsky" guy you speak of, but Tchaikovsky's compositions are, in my humble opinion, far better than anything either of those two artists have produced. I would like to point out it makes sound idiotic when you state that your opinion is fact. Regardless of how convinced of your opinion you are, it is still an opinion, due to the fact that "best" is not a quantifiable or even particularly well-defined concept.
@jaredmankly You really do look imbecilic for making such a statement. Do you realize that music is an art form?--an expression of one's inner self that is so complex that not even the composers themselves could explain it precisely. Li'l Wayne is a mockery of music as an art form and he knows it--this makes him less of a musician and artist than any classical composer that has ever lived. In fact, it prevents him from being any of those period. "young money is just the best" What are you--12?
maybe there was a justin bieber equivalent back in the 1800s, but he has been forgotten over time. And all the elitists and wankers were listening to Tchaikovsky commenting "man, music is so shit these days, mozart was way better". and all the indie kidz were like, "meh, tchaikovsky is so mainstream."
This is one of the most haunting pieces ever written - thank you Tschaikovsky for your brilliance! I am a lover of R&B, Blues, Jazz and Classical - music that has soul and power!!!
I'm sure that music like this woul never be written again, with this quality and sentiment. I'm so proud of listening to this music. Don't loose the good taste. Thanks for all this GENIUS to write this fantastic music
why do you all compare this sort of music to modern music? if you could ask people from the time this was created some might answer that music from earlier ages was much better, who knows?
This is completely different to modern music (thank God) and of course we have to admit that much of today´s music is crap but there are also good pieces. music develops if you like it or not, but this sort should not be forgotten and it won´t :)
I remember listening to outtakes of this music when playing the moving and beautiful game Loom in the 90's. I never could find out what the music was, but it was beautiful, even though it consisted of blinks and beeps! Discovering the actual music, and hearing it played by an orchestra, was overwhelming.
If you listen to it, it's kind of a dirty song ... it evokes all sort of obscene and sexually-charged imagery in the mind. Tchaikovsky must have been a major pervert.
@ThetruthisTHEvirtue Dude, that's an insult to music that suck. What we have today, I would call like..... the variety of sounds of shit hitting the ground.
@ThetruthisTHEvirtue That is not true, there are a lot of good music made today.

@ThetruthisTHEvirtue Amen to that... This is it... its all over really... Mankind will be listening to the Tchaikovsky's, to the Mozart's till the end of time... truly
@Mitzyclick what the fuck is that, you ripping on people despite having heard Tchaikovsky's music? I rather enjoy the music so just shut up and flag me if you disagree
@Ranecia Know that if you beg to differ, in the first place, you could say so without telling to me! I'm not the only one who heard it otherwise I wouldn't be so annoyed - and only be too happy to reply in the very same manner you did me.
@surferdudette19 I was telling you I didn't hear it, and to be honest, I wondered what reminded you of HP exactly. However, your response is not "in the very same manner" as mine. I genuinely told you I did not hear it, without any aggression or sarcasm. However, your response reeks of them.
@Ranecia For me it was obviously there. With others who affirmed it - I did not see the point of your blunt reply and take it that you a) Are in denial yet seemingly desire to debate about it or b) Just feeling chatty.
Next time, make it clear that it's the latter, and that you want me to explain without being stuck in a limbo of "it's there, it's not there".
If you continue to be butthurt about my response I shall be convinced that you're a moron( but I don't..not yet anyway).
@surferdudette19 I'm not butthurt about your response. Merely a little confused. I honestly listened to both and while there were vague similarities, I hear nothing that screams blatant ripping. Mind explaining how you hear it? (and yes, I did listen to the bit you pointed out). I did not expect you to take offense at someone not seeing, honestly.
@Ranecia It was not that you don't see it that annoyed me but, I repeat, the way the question was delivered. Since we've been coming back repeatedly to sort out our differences I assume you can figure out by yourself what I meant. Besides, I heard talking about music is like dancing about architecture ..so I'm just going to eat my pizza now
@surferdudette19 I really don't get what's annoying you so much. Conversing online is a written medium and it is inevitable that misunderstandings happen, especially between people who don't know each other. And if it's so inconsequential to you, why do you seem so pissed? Please do not that I am not angry, annoyed, or anything of that nature. However, you seem to revel in trying to make yourself appear to be superior to who you're conversing with. This is merely an observation.
