  • Hey hnsmusic, can you post the url of the video 'Large cords from small one' you mention here? Can't find it. Thanks.

  • love dis man

  • Please do more videos.

Thanks a lot for this one!

  • OKAY. I'M YOUR NUMBER ONE FAN AFTER YOUR MOM AND WIFE. THE PLAYING IS GREAT. HOWEVER THE CONCEPTS CAN BE CLEARER AND SIMPLER. BROKEN DOWN INTO LICKS. WITH ARE EASIER TO LEARN. NO ONE REMEMBERS THE EXTENDED THEORY YOU TAUGHT WHILE PLAYING. ITS CONFUSING. DO IT AT THE BEGINNING CONCEPT. LEARN THE LICK...SHORT HOW TO EXPAND. [7NOTEMODE] HAS A VERY VERY EFFECTIVE TEACHING METHOD. THAT YOU COULD ENHANCE. I THINK THAT IT WILL IMPROVE THE LEARNERS COMPREHENSION.

  • perfect

  • It's a fantastic tutorial. I just wish you could have elaborated a little bit more on how you actually revoiced the chords.

"Major's become minor's, and minor's become major's ..." Is the relative chord just a rootless chord based off of the 3rd note in the chord?

For instance, Cm has C, Eb, G. Did you pick Eb, because Eb is the minor 3rd of Cm?

It sort of makes sense actually.

  • I'm trying so hard to wrap my head around these left handed chord voicings, but I'm still having some trouble finding the rhyme and reason to your method. It sounds good, but I can't quite figure it out.

I can copy it just fine, but that doesn't do quite as much for me as actually learning how and why your doing it.

  • @samgurl85 Thats what I got out of it actually and it does make sense but still the way he chooses his chords for the 7th and so on still gets me lost.

  • @samgurl85 He picked Eb because the C is played by the Bass.

  • It's That Piano A Roland or Yamaha??

  • great job man! i'm getting it! please do more videos

  • Thats what I need Cause every body teach with bass with left hand and when U play with a bass player U play the same with the left hand and doesnt make sence playing the same thing that the bass player

  • You are such a blessing to me. I am glad that you are doing this to help musicians to grow. Thanks!

  • Thanks, I can actually understand 'your' way of explaining all of this !

  • Awesome! Very educational

My left hand is useless except when playing the tonic of the right hand chords

    What was the chord progression?

You went too fast for me, perhaps you can slow down a bit

I'm a beginner / intermediate, please explain when using inversions and where the root is located etc.......

  • Seeing only now

Not to late to give ***** or Thumbs UP

I like it when you spread the chprds like

    arpeggio most of the time

  • at the end it sounded like "Autumn Leaves"!!! i love your touch on the piano!!

  • what a great piano tune !

  • really nice chord progression.... you could have gone from cmin9 to b7(b5) instead of 2 to 5, then bbmaj9 to e7(#5) instead of 1 to 4.... but a great progression anyway....

  • sounds great...i wanna here more.hit me on face book frank allen

  • amazing tutorial. Thanks so much. I play for my church single handed most of the time but when a bass player comes in the picture my left hand is practically useless. thanks 2 u im taking a step in the right direction.

    excellent explanation

oh, and, how do you know if you play a minor 6th 2nd or whatever or a major?

  • What do I need to learn to play the piano period?

  • Nice!

  • wow. i NEED, yes NEED, you to make a step by step tutorial on a "jazzy" song. sort of like gotitans999 does his stuff, except his is all really annoying songs (no offense) and this is pure piano. PUHLEASEEE!!! anything you want. i just want to learn :D

    *subsrcribed!!*

  • I really enjoy your video post- please continue to post them because I like the way you explain your theory behind your progressions. I have ordered your course and I am slowly trying to digest it, thanks again, Susan

  • Great video doc. Keep it up.

  • Oh and one other thing.

I was wondering if you find that some people have a problem playing without using the sustain pedal? I have such a hard time doing it because its as if, mentally, I have play fast tempos when not using the sustain....any fixes for that? I'd like to do some lighter stuff without the sustain...is that possible or is it just not musically correct?

  • Your a life saver! Thanks for passing on this great info outta the love of teaching and music.

We appreciate you JJ, and hns music!!

You should do a "Get to know your teacher" piece. I'd love to hear about were you learned and what worked for you best in regards to your progression. :O) Thanks again!!

  • so what are you playing in the right hand? Is it just the notes within the chord or something else?

  • I love the chord progession of the left hand, would like to see some more right hand with these chords, but thanks alot for what you have played. be blessed, be encouraged.
