  • You never know the power of just one...daisy! Nightingale

  • my favourite erotic movie ! awesome story ! i read the book but the movie is quite much better ! powerful and intense scene ...

  • I just love this movie. I can watch it day by day, and I will never get bored! best movie ever! :)

  • " I saw myself in you" ... <3

  • fantastici mickey e kim,emozionante,travolgente,romantico.io ho ancora la locandina originale dell'85'!!

  • Ahhh.....memory burn!

What is it about this movie that still enthralls? Yep, its all those bad things people say about it....but it also has enough good points & pointers to keep it alive in one's memory. It's got that visual style. Sexy time like never done before or since- and inspired many to try out. It's gloriously vapid & vaccuous, like a lot of messed up relationships. All the music in it holds up. Oh, I could go on but I'll just quit while I'm ahead & go listen to the song again.

  • insipid film with insipid actor and actress

  • noi due per sempre così... Laura FP ti amo... di più Matteo T

  • I remember watching my Dads copy of this movie when i was a teenager and i felt so naughty and horny!

  • that scene in the clock is every woman's dream...welll maybe just this woman

  • @mdotschrody I agree but my LORD he comes fast.

  • @iluvssw - this surpasses porn in every way imaginable!

  • @rmondorable OH you are so dead-on right.

  • This is epic! No film rivals this erotically! Never will!

  • @rmondorable Porn can;t even compete with this film!

  • First erotic movie that I saw at the young age of 11 with a guy friend, crazy kiddos we were :) I would like to watch now, since am now 31 :)

  • Brian, Mickey, Kim and Adrian Lyne. Classic. Thank you for posting.

  • Esta pelicula me marcó durante años...

Tremendos Mickey Rourke y Kim Basinger.

    Fabulosos 80's.. Bonito recordarlos

  • El verdadero y original "rapidín"... y la frase "me ví en tí" no tiene abuela.... The one and only "quickie" and the great line: "I saw myself in you", the best one.

  • Nobody seems to wear ANY kind of underwear in this film (except John's undershirts, which are kind of guido but he has great clothes), and John consistently comes faster than a speeding bullet. Three thrusts and he blows his load...in more than one scene! Also, she better be on the Pill because I don't see anyone slipping on a love glove (yes, I know it's only a movie but it's annoying...something about her character bugged me. Maybe I am just jealous!)

  • The way he looks at her when he is under the umbrella...I have to change clothes after I see it. This movie was BRILLIANT and Adrian Lyne is a genius. Mickey Rourke should have received an Oscar nomination. NOT for being hot (which he was) but for his portrayal of this mysterious man who changed this woman's life forever. It was daring and brilliant; the use of music; the cinematography. There simply are no words to convey the brilliance of this film. It's also a love letter to NY City

  • I bet Bryan never thought when he wrote this wonderful song with the lyrics that this would set many mind to the land of imagination ....

Gosh I can hardly remember what the pictures was about ... seen it so many dacades ago.hmmm ... maybe gonna watch it again :-)

  • extreme sensuality, film and music!!!

  • Haha found it just now only. :D

  • Can someone tell me the song that comes right at the start here when they're staring at each other.

  • @rimshahh1 Eurasian Eyes by Corey Hart

  • you did a good job!

  • @marcia74 don't wish that my friend... i had the same girl like kim,, when she left me afther 10 years, im thinking about her every day of my life,, i don't have girlfriend like 10 years.....

  • EXTREME CLASSIC

  • Awesome movie, amazing soundtrack and fabulous actors! Thanks for posting!

  • Miss this style of film making

  • @kamruz13 great statement, movies aren't what they used to be

  • @kamruz13 Me, too. Where has Adrian Lyne been? Everything he does is genius.

  • @kamruz13 me too! he shows the city and the actors, They should have done this with The Tourist and showed off Venice

  • =))..c

  • love this vid, :o)

  • Ein wunderbarer Film... was für ein schöner Mann, damals...

  • Mickey was so hot & Mr. cool at the same time

  • This is so hot.

  • Very erotic movie, and fantastic soundtrack to boot.

  • @violapressley totally agree, the whole soundtrack of this movie is really good I have it I would recommed to look for it

  • I love this song. This song was from one of my favorite movies 9 1/2 weeks. I have to admit it was sort of a wild and crazy movie, but I still liked it.

  • ok i know that this is a stupid question but i just saw this movie with my friends and we didn't really understand what happened!:/ can anyone please explain?was he taking videos of her when they were having sex?:p did he really love her?

  • @isavellaaa

In fact when he meets the girl. He feels that under her shy appearance, hides a woman who hasn't discover the real passion in life.

So he's playing games to turn her on. Also because he has some problems to show his feelings in another way.

She likes it. But she falls in love. And he"s pushing the games too far and hurting her heart by kissing the spanish hooker.. She kisses the stranger in the sexclub too hurt him back. And leaves. When she's gone he realises that he loves her.

  • @StephanFoto yes i got it!i knew some things that you said but not all!thanks a lottttt!:):):) btw how did you get all these?you have seen many old movies,i guess.!this was amazing but the ending was sad..so thanks again for explaining!appreciated!:D

  • @isavellaaa

Well yes I am a movie lover.. I have the movie at home. I watched it several times.

A lot of times with friends. And then we talk abouth it.

everebody fels a little sad abouth the end.

Buth then I say: The movie stops now.. But live goes on.. So just imagine that later on , maybe they will meet again... He will apologize with a bouquet of flowers in his hands... And everything will be ok again ;-).

Thinking that way, the ending is not sad anymore :-) :-)...

    ** Stephan.

  • @StephanFoto ohhh yes!that's sweet and optimistic!you really have a beautiful way of thinking!:) i'm gonna do it for other movies!so not sad endings anymore!thanks stephan!:)

    isabella

  • @isavellaaa

    You are welciome ;-) ***

  • @isavellaaa

But he was not taking video's or something.

  • @isavellaaa watch this movie many times without trying to understand what is wrong and what is right. take this movie as a part of someone's life. it would be plain to see that basinger and rourke left something of their hearts for this film, devoted, dedicated themselves to this film. that's why everyone likes it . it is an original expression of feelings. there was no fucking video taken by him.

  • @NIKOLAJ7131 yes i know.you're right.and i know that's there is no video taken by him.my friend asked this so i did here..i watched this movie alone today and i truly enjoyed it..it's wondeful..thanks for ur help!:)

  • Ich Liebe diesen Film und dieses Lied ;)

  • I love this scene!!! And this song

  • 2:49 is my favorite shot in the movie. Looks so cool.

  • why did kim call mickey a human ashtray? anyone

  • 1:26 is soooooo cool!!!!!!! ;-)

  • omg Mickey Rourke me and hubby are just as rampant!

  • omg Mickey Rourke!!! luv this song its also like me and hubby!!

  • They definitely didn't do that sex scene very tastefully... or make it last long.

  • Comment removed

  • De cuando Mickey calentaba en vez de dar risa y/o lástima y Kim, bueno, qué decir, tan buena actriz como la malparida, pero provocó los ratones de miles durante los 80

  • nadhera

  • timeless!!

  • Goosebumps, Mickey was sooooo damn sexy... Now he just looks like a freak :-( Damn shame...

  • everyone has met someone in their emotional life like John Grey... if you haven't then you're probably him in that relationship. This film is ahead for its time, it allows us an intimate look in the emotional wasteland of the Dirty 80's, where intensity replaces intimacy; money buys you everything. The film's choice of dark tones and textures reflects the inner emptiness and theheightened desire for sensation to stop the numbness of materialistic life

  • @gr8physiqueguy agree with your point but i have to say that it's still and always money buys everything nowadays, probably it's much more materialistic than the 80s. One huge difference is those sex scenes would not have to be cut in today's movie culture. So, the 80s ain't dirty.

  • hmmm...and at the scene where she is alone and snopes throught his drawer...(knowing she would!?...of course) she finds that pic...sadly for me...fast forward 15 plus years...(911)...this is just a thought...perhaps his loss was so great...he takes it out on her...finds her, seeks her out..his character seems to have lost something so soul- crushingly paralyzing...that she is only his pawn...her own loss matters, but not to this extent...she is a trooper for her own reasons...???

  • so sick and sadistic...good for her, when she walked out at the end...lol...doesn't show that part...

  • @126lme: This movie is actually based on a true story. The movie was adapted from a book 'Nine and 1/2 Weeks.' If you think this movie was sadistic with some of the scenes, it's nothing compared to the book.

  • @Crawford1987 I know! I have the book. Have it since I was 16. It's way more disturbing and not romantic like some people think the movie is.

  • @norwegian68: Yea, it's basically a road to sado-masochism in the book.

  • @norwegian68: Just curious, also..have you ever seen Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhaal? Mickey Rourke would have been good in that, as well. It's got a similar feel to it as 9 and 1/2 weeks (the book).

  • @Crawford1987 Thanks for the info. I've ordered the book. Can't wait!

  • For years now ever girlfriend that leaves me steals my copy of 91/2 weeks....I'm buying my 23rd copy this week...

  • @bellcord 23 copies/23 gfs. AWESOME. :)

  • To: california49sd57

Nothing more be said...the breathing is enough...xxx

  • can we discuss what the hell happened to Mickey Rouke? My goodness he was looking good.

  • @smashyb03 I KNOW!!!!! WTF????

  • Hotter movie: 91/2 Weeks vs Body Heat. Discuss.

  • The only part of this movie that I didn't like was the riding crop scene...i'm just not into that kind of stuff haha.

  • There is something so true about the eye's have it all. There is nothing more attractive then a man who can bring you to your knees with one look, one touch, one kiss and his heart beating in your ear at night. Love feels so right along side you and hurts when without any warning it is gone. So make the best of every moment and kiss like it might be your last. OUI ‘JE TAIM......Merci pour le temp de ma vie. Muah..........

  • @Iris81408

its really funny how on youtube, women are having an orgasm watching good looking guys yet in real life women ignore these guys and go for the average guys. so please stop bullshitting. its been over almost a century that initial attraction doesnt mean shit anymore

  • @esibrecher ummmm......Mr. Canada you wanted me to pay you some attention well why do you not just say so instead of crying out for it. Darling you must have been so crushed at the bottom of someone's heels that it left you scared in all the wrong places. Relax...take 5 minutes and enjoy life a little. Please it is the only advice I can express. I never bullshit a bullshitter. Merci pour votre commentaire. Here is a little something to calm you down besito.

  • I did live this movien exeprience in realife, exactly as it was but unfortunately a 100 time more emotional, like a stupid 22 year old guy, I thougt I could make the end diferently, was I wrong that after 12 years since I have had no contact with her have I not been abls go forget about her in a single week. Today I want to think the next time I try to live as such, will lower the bar at least a bit so I keep the girl!

  • @maf2014 aww bless you.The film was emotional enough let alone living it in real life, you must have been heart broken! You may regret letting her go but never regret anything that made or makes you smile! xxx all the best to you xxx

  • Totally agree with you - california49sd57! Even though I was still in my diapers when this movie was out in 1986, i just found out about it 10days ago and have been crazy for it ever since!

LOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT! love Mickey,Kim and the steamy 9&1/2weeks!!!***%%%%

  • Good old days, retro forever, I was in my 20s at that time. Oh my God!!

  • I actually like the first song in that video "Eurasian Eyes" By Corey Hart!!!! And @Crawford1987, your so right. The first one is always a classic!

  • this is my favorite song on the soundtrack. My late husband and I never could get thru this movie without having to hit pause. (at least once or twice)

  • I just saw 'Another 9 and 1/2 weeks' and it was nowhere near as good as the first one. I love this movie!

  • I LOVE THIS SCENE!!!!

  • i love it

  • I remember this film well i watched it when i was a teenager it was my dads lol

  • OMG, I wanna live in the first part of film! only there! Amazing...

  • is you dear,,,,,,

  • mi prefeeee!! tema y peli! =)

  • still gets to me . . .every time even after all these years. .

  • i looked this up after seeing Rourke as Whiplash in Iron Man 2. I forgot how incredibly beautiful he is

  • Kim Basinger has great tits! hahhaa....

  • I think that women today raised with all the mores of the age...STILL get hot as hell over his character..because although they SAY they want a "Partner" they would KILL for a man who knew himself, was confident and would just TAKE them... and that's the truth folks, lol!

  • @TheOldevoce

The girl was already hooked the first time she saw him. Nothing to do with confidence. The attraction she felt for him overpowered her completely and she just accepted her slave role. The first scene where Basinger sees Rourke and loses control and just keeps looking at him is the most powerful display of sexual attraction i have seen in a movie.

  • @thewildone1986 ....He OOOZED confidence! How can u say it has nothing to do with it? He doesn't ask her permission for a DAMNED thing...he knows who he is and ASKS for what he wants. The first time she saw him you think it was his pretty face, less than stellar build, mediocre persona that overpowered her? NO...it was that he KNEW he could have her...and she knew it also. It takes an UBER confident man to get a woman to react that way. You want an example of one? Mickey Rooney!

  • @TheOldevoce

youre both wrong. ive watched most of mickey rourke's movies and i can say that he was just a pretty boy in this. he looked like your average business man, but better looking. remember this is a movie, not reality and do i have to bring out that kim basinger refused to do some of the stuff from the book.

he was much better in his latter films (1992+). less good looking but more...aware. i am a big fan of the movies hes directed, except homeboy. that one sucked

  • @thewildone1986 Agree

  • Since I was 1st exposed to this movie as a very young teen, it has had a profound impact in my life & the intimate experiences I have created in my life, NO MOVIE has ever topped this!!!! Nor will it ever!!!!!! So very inticing It my favorite, I LOVE IT!!!!!

  • Loved, absolutely loved the first 3/4 of this movie. That kind of desire, passion, play, amorousness, and love is very rare.

The end of the movie got too weird for me though.

  • @dacci545 thats a weird thing to say. it is not about love, it is about humiliation and manipulation. it is a horrible film.

  • @davidorrewing You're right the humiliation and manipulation were weird that's why I didn't like the end of the movie. Haven't seen the movie in a while now that I think about it I may not like about 1/2 the movie. Can't blame you for calling it horrible. But I was attracted to their passion for each other and you can't say she didn't love him not sure about his love for her though. If he did it was a dysfunctional kind of love.

  • @dacci545 I completly agree, the hooker & 3rd person ruined the rest for me to, just not in to that weird stuff!

  • my favourite movie

  • that is very strange, but mickey rourke in his youth looked just like my fathers friend when he was young O_o

  • Micky was so hot back then! Yummy!

  • @sabrinamusiq Like omg what the f*ck happened to him!

  • He was absolutely beautiful back then... Reminds me of someone...
