The reason people are irate is because God is not a Chocolate statue. God is not a Human!

You are looking at it from an Islamic angle whereby you cannot idolize a prophet in any form (drawings,statues,etc). This isn't true in Christianity (those who are moaning) otherwise churches wouldn't have statues & ppl wouldn't wear crucifixes. Oh and Jesus wasn't just a man sent by God, he was God in human form - the Trinity (according to Christianity).

But yeh, people moan & get offended too easily, they need to chill out then maybe we wouldn't have so much trouble over religion that we have.

Where in The Bible does it say that you can make an idol of God or any of the prophets? It strictly forbids idol worship--it's one of the Ten Commandments, if you remember. From what I understand, God doesn't want us to worship anything made by man. Just because the church does something doesn't make it right--you have to look at The Bible and decide for yourself.
