@1975siralex I think in almost every sport, today's athletes are better than those from the past, boxing being the exception, e.g. I still think Hearns in his prime would take out anyone today at 154, Pryor would stop anyone at 140, and I've still yet to see a heavyweight with the footwork, handspeed, or chin that Ali had.

Thanks for the comment! However I have to disagree with your assertion that Whitaker and Mayweather were not warriors. Both were elusive and difficult to hit, but neither were runners. To the contrary they stood toe to toe with much bigger men, and gave as good as they took.

I respect your opinion, it's just on how we apreciate styles, I personally don´t like defensive boxers, I don´t take nothing on their skills, But as a Mexican I am, we see boxing as a demostration of Courage, Strengh, Kill or Die, that´s why for Mexicans Box is something more than just a sport, we see it as an Expresion of Bravery and Honor (No hugging), you will never see a Mex.defensive boxer probably, because In Mexico we would never support him.
