Not sure where to ask this question so hopefully someone here can help. I purchased a 900mhz plug and play package with a fpvcam480. I attached seperate 11.1 2200ma batteries to the transmitter and receiver. I've got leds on both units. I'm on channel 1 on both units and the cam voltage switch is correct. I get a mostly green screen with static sounds that change with transmitter movement, but no picture. I've tried different tvs and channel selections. Any ideas?
love the little detailed instruments you added, really wish i had some extra money to get into this hobbie.. must me really immersive having those goggles on, iv seen some 3d setups, 2 cameras and 2screen goggles giving you depth perception, how well do these work do you know? well keep flyin! looks great!
We sell 3D cameras on our site. The brain uses a lot more than stereoscopic vision to perceive depth tho., abt 12 things including parallax, relative size & motion, etc. & steroscopic vision is only one of those & only works up to about 10ft. U can perceive depth without it. The CAA chief medical officer speaking about one eyed airline pilots (of which there R several) said the only thing that might be effected is his ability to pick up his coffee cup. It makes no difference to his flying.

@m4r7ijn Hi, FPV systems that will go up to 15 miles are possible but I wouldn't recommend that to a beginner. Our Advanced Flight Kit is a great place to start and will give you around 450m of range, or 950m with our 8dBi patch antenna. Please see our website regarding the prices, there are many options. Model aircraft require light winds. It depends on the model you choose but nil wind is best, up to about 10mph, maybe 15mph for some models. Checkout firstpersonview co uk for more info.
Do you have any experience with the FlyCamOne2? If so what is it like? I don't need a FPV 'live' system (My radio is 2.4 as well). But I would like to record videos without to much cost.
Nice little video. Brilliant being able to rotate the camera around. I am guessing you have it connected to a servo? Got some good height as well with such a tiny plane... nice one 5/5
I'm planning to do some coastal video soon actually. Check out my other video "Radio Control Plane with camera, flying through goggles. FPV" which is quite a nice ridge soaring video (although before I got a wide angle lens)!
I'm also planning to go some air combat video with a friend in the next week or two, as soon as the weather improves!
We used the CAM35 camera, VR1200 goggles and a Wing Dragon plane. Its the best set-up we've found at an affordable price - we wasted a lot of time, effort and money on cheaper stuff that was useless!
excellent video, I would like to get set up for vr goggle flying. Good song selection too, Juke Special lives not far from me...What kit would you recommend?

Hi mr4rijn,
Please check our website for full details.
400 metres is the range with a standard kit, 950m ish with a panel atennna.
£299.99 for the camera, goggles, transmitters and receiver. Most people use the Multiplex Easystar as a platform - these are about £60 to buy.
All model aeroplanes require light winds. Around 15mph is the maximum you should fly in. Nil wind is ideal, particularly whilst training.
Thanks
Simon

Hi simon,
could i have some more information about the plane pls. I always wanted to have a plane like that, so here are my questions ^^;
-does it have a wide fly-area?
-how much does it cost?
-is it suitable to fly with a proper wind going on?
tnx anyway =D

How did you get the camera to focus on the landscape rather than the cockpit? I want to put a camera in my RV4
RCKiwi 2 years ago
Hi RCKiwi,
The cameras are fixed focus. You simply loosen the grub screw on the lens, set it to focus on the far distance and then tighten the grub screw again.
Check out firstpersonview co uk
Cheers
