  • again great job on the video. thank god that there is still someone out there who puts on the video with the true sound track and no audio crap, thankyou.

  • I think I will create my own Star Trek Show. I'll call it Star Trek: Oberth and it's a small Oberth-class starship defeating Species 8472 and the Borg at the same time. After that, they conquer the whole Milky Way Galaxy. This show will only last 10 minutes, but it will proof that Oberth-ships are clearly more advanced than anything else.

  • 2 humans 2 cards 2 romulans 1 bajoran 1 borg and a jem'hadar on 1 ship how the borg not assimilating them

  • I always liked this scene as it is the only time I can remember where a fed ship opened with a jump attack, worked nicely too since those hirogen ships appear to be around the size of a galaxy class.

  • @FederationStarfleet i would call the intrepid class a deep space science and research vessel but I guess you could call it a light cruiser aswell :)

  • @Benjemen85 why would you call it a science vessel? what was it studying then? why would a science vessel have 4 torpedo launchers and 14 phaser arrays? lol its clearly a cruiser and its not light in anyway.

  • @miloootic "light" as in "smaller than Kirk's cruiser"

  • @Idazmi7 why not just say small and spare yourself the trouble. light is clearly inadequate and fan made.

  • @miloootic You said "light".

  • pfft .. a intrepid class vs two Venatic class and one Hunter?

  • @ThomasRenneis whats so pfft about it?

  • @ThomasRenneis one Hunter easylymatches a Intrepid Class....a Venatic has more firepower than a NegH´Var....

and that is more than just pffft..

  • @ThomasRenneis dude it took 6 hunters to outmatch Voyager in prey if i remember correctly, and on this episode they had the hirogen technician on board giving them tactical info about the ship when the attack happened.in addition there is no cannon info about the Venatics firepower fan fiction is not cannon lol.

  • lol, Janeway has had enough of this shit, so she's just gonna kill EVERYBODY!

  • Voyager PWNS the hirogen vessels lol

  • Brilliant... No1 does space battles better than star trek

  • @SuperHardTrance How about BSG?

  • This two parter made NO sense. Voyager had travelled like 30 thousand lightyears since we last saw the Hirogen, theres no way they'd still be around HA.

  • @80smusicfanNO1 Yes! Another one that noticed. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • @80smusicfanNO1 it made alot of sense u need to watch the episodes again,in message in a bottle they stated that the hirogens have com stations in the entire delta quadrant even a few ones on the edge of the alpha quadrant so yeah its makes perfect sense, people like to trash talk voy for no reasons at all.

  • @miloootic

I know my stuff AKSHULY. Thos come stations were not built by the Hirogen, they were ancient com stations that the Hirogen were simply using. We never saw the Hirogen use transwarp or anything like that, so there's nothing to explain how they managed to travel such far distances

  • @redemptionsdoom Probably, I hate the fact they dropped the charging pulse as seen on federation phasers throughout TNG and DS9, just lazyness really...

  • people who say voyager was not designed for combat but for science are really infected by sto and other crap games...just as the series proved its smaller then the galaxy, sovereign etc...but is a long range tactical vessel with alot of potentiel in battles,it might have less torpedo compliment but has the speed advantage to make up for it.

  • next step above a heavy cruiser is a battle ship

  • if those were yautja cruisers it would be a even more difficult fight

  • its great how voyager sometimes managed to fire from parts of the ship where there are no phaser banks....

  • @dspikey Actually I would say Voyager was pretty good about that, occasionally they would have one fire out of a torpedo tube, but that was universal to the Trek shows. It was Enterprise that phase canons sprouting out everywhere. There were certainly none in that sequence that were wrong.

  • @dspikey I see why you thought that but if you know the ship it did fire from where it's banks are it's just there not very prominently displayed in the series for some reason. it has two front and underneath, two on the sides and one underneath with another two on the back

  • WTF is a 3 humans, and a borg doing on a hirogin ship

  • @MrVeruckt

watch the episode and you will find out.

  • @FederationStarfleet Speaking of wich what is the name of this episode

  • @jsnthompson4

Look in the video description ; )

  • @FederationStarfleet oops I normally do that, but I forgot for some strange reason this time.

  • @MrVeruckt Actually, Bajoran, human, borg drone and few other species :) It's a hologram ship, those aren't flesh and blood people they are holograms. It's a very good episode, I suggest you watch it ;)

  • @MrVeruckt Slumming.

  • @MrVeruckt Actually, it looks more like 1 human(maybe 2, green uniform, can't quite tell), 1 bajoran, a borg, a couple o' cardassians, 1 jem-hadar and what appears to be a vulcan, and 2 other unidentifiables. Plus the Doctor in the background. That's just what I see. Anyone, feel free to make corrections. :)

  • @Xonx68 hahahaa regardless, what are they doing on that ship?

  • @MrVeruckt Wow, no one's answered your question in a year? That sucks! All of those different species/people are actually sentient holograms, escaped from a Hirogen space station that used the holographic emitter technology that Voyager gave to them in an earlier episode. The Hirogen would hunt them, using them as holographic prey.

  • @Xonx68 hahaha thank you! finally someone got answered. THANK YOU

  • @MrVeruckt How the hell can a hologram become self aware? I mean, its just a projection, theres no substance to it...

  • @TheJamesrocket

Explained in TNG "Emergence" - and remember, holograms are mere projections of code executed on very real substance of ships computer, where all self-awareness actually resides.

  • @MrVeruckt there not borg there just holograms

  • @MrVeruckt They're holograms

  • @MrVeruckt Psst. They're holograms, hence the name of the episode.

  • what episode is this from??

  • The Akira is more of a Heavy Escort, in the same role as the Defiant, which is a Tactical Escort. Brimming with weapons.

Voyager, at least from Star Trek terminology, is a long range scout, "quick and smart". She could be classed as a light cruiser, but isn't.

Excelsior is a heavy cruiser, but into the TNG era, you'd probably class her as a medium cruiser, or a heavy cruiser with the Galaxy/sov and similar size vessels being classed as dreadnaughts or heavy battlecruisers.

  • I wouldn't call Voyager a "cruiser" according to modern naval terminology. It has a role which is more similar to a destroyer instead.

But yea, I'd bet that if it were a Galaxy- or Sovereign-class ship, the Hirogen would be pwned.

  • You are both right...Intrepid class ships were originaly tagged as long range tactical ships and scouts.

However, a few sources (Starfleet Command 3) refer to them as Light Cruisers, while the larger Akira and Excelsior class ships are titled Heavy Cruisers.

  • @FederationStarfleet It's actually a Long Range Science Vessel ;)

  • @FederationStarfleet A Excelsior being a Heavy Cruiser? In Kirk's time, yes. I don't think so in TNG+ era

If it was a Heavy Cruiser, then what was the Galaxy class? Super Mega Cruiser??

  • @FederationStarfleet

I always found it hard to consider the Akira as a heavy Cruiser. It dosent look like it.

  • @Kingrex16 Akira-class vessels are larger than they look. Ex Astris Scientia shows it almost as long as the Enterprise-E, almost as deep and noticeably wider. It was originally designed as a small-fighter carrier (The pod hanging behind the bridge was a ship launcher) but I think now it's been ret-con'd as a weapons cluster.

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis what about the akira class. 15 torpedo tubes !!!!

  • @MrVeruckt

Hell yea, Akira-class too would PWN Hirogen ships XDDD

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis 1) The Intrepid class is a scouting/exploration vessel rather than a full-on warship. 2) Watch how Voyager hands the Borg's collective arse to them then watch how Picard on his Galaxy-class Enterprise-D got pwned by a single Borg cube. Although Voyager was built much later so more technologically more advanced.

  • @randomface54

Like most Federation starships, Defiant aside.

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis

Voyager is rather equivalent of high-sea going, large multi-role frigate. Defiant is corvette, and Excelsior / Enterprise-E are destroyers. Enterprise-D is a cruiser.

  • @ImperatorDerGalaxis Star Trek ships are made in obvious archetypes: Science ship: Nebula, Oberth, Miranda. They are for science. They exist in plot to blow up or look pretty. War Frigate: Intrepid, Prometheus, Defiant. Distinctly built for war They tend to be small, flashy, and semi-weak, but are great for action. War Cruiser: Soverign. Big War Frigate. Explorer: Constitution, Galaxy. To boldly go... Extremely Overpowered, the bonafide best overall ships in the fleet.
  • @Idazmi7 nice list but its clearly fan made without any reference to the actual startrek. unless they call it on screen science vessel (ex: equinox/obereth) or explorer (Galaxy/intrepid) or warship (Defiant/Prometheus) we the fans are not allowed to make up designations and put the ship in tiers we see fit.

  • @miloootic The ent-D was called a warship more than once, by crewmen other than Worf.

    TNG: season 5, "Conundrum"

  • @Idazmi7 The D is a warship who has families, kids, schools on board and 20 Gyms 18 Holodecks and all the luxury saloons, plaza theaters etc...nice waste of power for a warship no wonder it failed in every battle lol. Voyager was called a combat vessel on ''The Thaw'' as well.the only official warship is the Defiant refered to as escort. still the other 2 were referred to as explorers by janeway and picard on most occasions. its cause fed ships are primary used for exploration.

  • @miloootic TNG: Conundrum

Not a scratch, but it killed a whole opposing fleet... with phasers.

  • @Idazmi7 XD those ships are more like shuttles or fighters then actual starships. anyway voyager did the same in ''dragons teeth'' with the vadwar fighters.

  • @miloootic One was called a "destroyer."

  • @Idazmi7 isn't that the part where Worf says there weapons are capable of 52 megawatts damage LOL and they keep firing uselessly, nice choice of comparison.

  • @miloootic The Ent-D also vapourised a Klingon K'vort, while heavily damaged. They used phasers.

  • @Idazmi7 oh waw ''claps'' finaly the Galaxy class destroyed an enemy ;),every ship on all series vaporized others XD its nothing special i can name so many times the Defiant or voyager destroyed enemies.

  • @miloootic I can name the thing's Kirk blew up that would crush any later starship, like the Planet Killer and the Energy Draining Amoeba. Your point?

    Fanboy puke.

  • @Idazmi7 And what do you miss about vapourised? As in, NO DEBRIS.

  • @Idazmi7 Fanboy puke seriously?(FanGirl anyway) you just have admit that a Galaxy class in an inferior ship to the Defiant and the Intrepid. everything on screen proves it. instead you gave arguments from Conundrum LOL and it happens that i watched the episode, those ships were crap and what the galaxy did was nothing special.

  • @miloootic How about the Maquis? Picard handeled a squadron with one torpedo. Or Killing Borg Cube without help from centuries more advanced tech from futureland?

  • @Idazmi7 what about Voyager she too on a tactical cube and performed very well without futuretech,or 3 Hirogin vessels,or 70 Vadwaar fighters,or surviving massive beating for 12 month without shields XD

  • @miloootic All of the stats of every ship in the Year of Hell were pitiful if they cannot vapourise a ship that has no ablative armor.

  • @Idazmi7 the thing is voyager lost 8 decks and was still functioning (more then half of the ship) the resilience and defensive ability of an intrepid was far beyond anything a galaxy class displayed.

  • @miloootic And if the Year of Hell ships were Klingon, Voyager would be scrap.

  • @Idazmi7

Voyager disabled a Klingon Battle cruiser ' with 3 phaser shots,so no vs the klingons Voy would have turned them into scrap.

  • @Idazmi7 without shields the Ent-D lost to an old Bird of prey in a matter or seconds :)

  • @miloootic With Geordi inadvertantly "working" for them in Engineering. They knew the shield frequency, where the weak spots were, etc. Apparently, those Klingons were better at "hunting than Hirogen.

    :D

  • @Idazmi7 nope Voyager jumped the Hirogen ship, and that's not an excuse for the D to fail in 2 sec without the shields. the D,Yamato,Odyssey...all had warp core issues XD the Defiant,Intrepid did not and were able to perform far better in combat.

  • @miloootic Being that their stats are weaker, I'd say plot protection. Especially given the inherent problems with wimpifying the Borg.

  • @Idazmi7 :) good whenever a TNG fan starts rattling about plot protection means he is out of arguments. what happens on screen is canon and does not need to be debated by fan, live with it.

  • @miloootic According to the tech manuals, longer phaser arrays are more powerful. Ass seen in TNG, the Enterprise can KO a Warbird with ONE photon, not to mention the obviously larger blast radius, and can shoot ten at a time. The ENT-D can drill through a planet's crust in 3 seconds, and it's shields can extend to encompass a moon, while it's tractor beam can move a moon into and out of orbit.

Voyager can barely deal with a tecnologically dead species: the Kazon.

  • @Idazmi7 LOL Voyager owned the kazon every battle. and the tech manual is not canon at all

  • @miloootic They try to avoid confrontations with more than a couple Kazon ships at a time. Not to mention the time they ran from starfighters. (I believe the episode was called "the serpent with the golden toungue?" something like that.)

  • @Idazmi7 what what???"the serpent with the golden toungue?? are we talking about star Trek? XD that episode does not exist in VoY unless you are talking about the Kazon in TNG :P

  • @miloootic I was referring to creatures with vaguely cardassian looks. One of your videos shows the incident.

The Voyager was also out gunned by Androids with "Quantum Pulse" weapons. They looked like Flash Gordon rejects, andhad captured Tores. They were supposedly active relics from an old war.

  • @Idazmi7 the Androids are an advanced race even if the are ancient, they have technology that surpassed the federation, thus making them extremely powerful.

  • @miloootic Their stated weaponry was no better than anyone else in the quadrant. Not to mention, Data was invented by a federation scientist. He's far better than those "advanced" cybermen things.

  • Despite it being only a cruiser, Voyager can do some heavy damage!

  • actually it was the first ship to have phasers that didn't require the ship to have to turn at some point to lock on to an enemy the advanced sensors compared to the enterprise made it better equipped for phaser fire and because of its speed and size would be easier to evade enemy fire
