@QilinRider21 Charles Russell was most likely a disaffected Adventist who decided to make his own church. He may have had funding from the Freemasons because the Freemasons deny that he's a JW. Russel wasn't a Mason himself. If he was, wouldn't the JW religion be a bit larger than it is right now?
I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness and I spent my life in a state of terrified guilt and hampster wheel activity. I missed out on the social aspect of childhood and viewing my classmates as friends. When you say your beliefs change with study, re this video you must mean the beliefs regarding 1914. Jehovah's Witnesses thought the world would end in 1914; when it didn't, they changed to saying that Satan had come down and the End Times began in 1914. Correct?
@TheOriginalTwiz : so 'truth' keeps changing? Maybe to those who don't know what the hell they're talking about. The fact remains: the WT Society has a track record of predicting the 'end'. They are liars and are deluding their flock.
@eric5906 - Didn't you know Jehovah is the editor of the Watchtower? It must be true because good 'ol Fred Franz stated that in an American court of law. It's so rich, I cannot make it up!
The Watchtower version of Jehovah keeps changing the light, they call it "new light", but I call it "flickering" light because it goes back and forth. MY version of Jehovah would have gotten it right many years ago and wouldn't have changed. (LOL) But the WT's sock-puppet Jehovah keeps regular JW's guessing.
@cooper79jeffr ROFL. Thats good, the light flickering thing and sock-puppet. LOL. After 138 years of no WT prophecies to come true seems like they would get out. They stay in spite of warnings in fear of losing fam and friends. Plus satan has fooled them to believe they'll just "cease to exist" if they're on the wrong side of God. That idea is appealing to most of them. People like us, on youTube, spreading real truth, has the potential to shut the WTS down. We better watch our backs.LOL
@DeeStinger1 - The Watchtower must have a sock-puppet Jehovah in the Brooklyn board room. I swear. Some of the things they've had Jehovah say over the years just boggles the mind. But because sock-puppet-Jehovah said it, they can honestly then print what "Jehovah" said. :)
@DeeStinger1: "Satan has fooled them to believe they'll just "cease to exist" if they're on the wrong side of God."
Not quite: they believe in Hell, but come the Kingdom, Angelic thought-police will delete from history anyone who has the slightest sinful imperfection left in their soul. So if you make it into Heaven (which according to the JWs is two-tier, btw), even one imperfect thought will see you erased utterly from existence, e.g you will never have lived at all.
@JCLeSinge Wow. That's even more twisted than what I was originally told by a JW. Thanks for the update on their ever changing doctrine. It looks like their doctrine sometimes goes from one extreme wish to another. How many of us has atleast once in our lives, wished we were never born. I know I have. That idea is appealing to most of them. Why bother running from a cult when there's no real consequences in staying. Fear of losing family and friends they dummy up and stay.
@DeeStinger1: I heard that from a JW too. It wasn't in casual conversation; he was making a regular ardent effort to convert me. When he explained this about the angelic-thought police, he had books and pamphlets to illustrate his point. And he really did use the term "thought police".
But that's just for the faithful who get into heaven, then have a bad thought (no sex in heaven, obviously, but apparently no mountaineering either); everyone else still fries in everlasting fire.
Dude you're all NUTS!!!!! It' doesn't matter what your faith is, the sheer fact that you believe ANYTHING that doesn't hold a shred of evidence is what we call INSANE!
I remember when I was a kid what a cool Mom I had. I recall her dressing up as a witch to entertain us on Halloween and fondly remember her dancing to Beatles songs in white go-go boots. Now, as a converted JW, she is sadly little more than a scripture-babbling automaton. The JW's took away much of what my mother once was. Nothing has done more to destroy my belief in the Bible God than this band of fear-mongering robots.
I really don't see anyhng to fearful. I see many people smiling, nicely dressed and paradise background. yes some "end of times" photos, but think about all the violence on TV that young kids watch today. How could you compare? i can relate..all my life i've had some phobia or another, and even now. It makes sense, children are very impressionable. Problem is i suppressed a lot of it, and it came back in my adult life in various ways. Shame on any group who would do that to people !
JW's will not and cannot answer the 1975 question, or any of the false prophesies. Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. that is EXACTLY what JW's are. they do not follow the gospel. They monopolize it.
1. Many religious groups are scoffed at, and many suffer persecution, not just the Witnesses. Persecution alone is not proof of the correctness of one's views.
2. Prior to 1975 the WTS led many JW's to feel the end was probably near. The WTS also emphasized scriptures that persecution against God's people would increase near the end. So as a child I was told we might be imprisoned or barely escape with our lives in the "great tribulation". It was scary.
Have you never heard the saying World without End - The wicked world of mankind are the ones who will die - And we do not instill fear into mankind - We are not the ones telling them about burning in hell if they do not obey - We simply read scriptures about what will happen to the wicked world of mankind if they do not obey - Read Revelation 20 and 21- Kindly note I am quoting from the scriptures to you
You are only proving my point of the video. JWs qoute scriptures but choose to believe what man (WT) teaches over Gods word. WT claims that there is no hell but Christians hold the Bible as their final authority, therefore believing that all who deny Jesus as Lord will one day know first-hand there is a Hell. Daniel 12:2, Matthew 8:12,13:50,22:13,24:51,25:41, Mark 9:44, Luke 13:28, Revelation 14:11,19:20,20:10,21:8. Christ is warning you too. Let Him save you! (John 10:9-10).
@goodwindc Ok, so you are saying that JW's listen to man more than God because of the Watchtower? Let me ask you this, how was the bible written? By God himself? NO, it was written by MEN inspired by GOD. It is the same thing with the JW's literature. I think you may want to put your efforts towards something else, you obviously don't know much about what JW's really believe, you just follow the ignorant train of JW haters. But if thats what you like to do........
@TheOriginalTwiz "Ignorant train of JW haters?" Well, get this. I have seen first hand the brainwashing mind-control tactics of the Watchtower Society. It is sickening. As for inspiration - the Bible writings are not inspired by anything other than the wishful-thinking delusions of ancient nomad lunatics. They had a control-freak agenda then, just as the modern Bible thumpers do today.
When Noah had to preach his message from God to tell the Nations around him that they were going to be destroyed by Jehovah - Did they listen - Did they laugh at Noah - So as one of Jehovah;s servants on earth today i do not wonder that you are criticising us - For just as in the days of Noah so shall it be in the end - People will laugh and scoff at you - Do not be dismayed you servants of the Most High, Stand firm and take your stand against Satan and those whom he has anointed
what you dont understand sheila is that many young children including myself were traumatized by some of these things evrytime i heard a plain when i was younger i thought it was the end and was afraid i couldnt live my life because my life revolved around armaggedon i as a young man needed to live my life not just thinking about ohh im might not make it at my young age i havent been baptized. gods love is his greatest quality and tthe witnesses made him look bad why would he judge us so much
Hi KOKID83 - I understand how you feel - But you see Jehovah is not somebody who makes children scared - Now the 1975 issue is something that most witnesses will not forget because they gave a time which was not true but so did Peter in the Bible who felt that Christ was going tocome in Kingdom power but was corrected by Jesus - Nobody knows the time or the hour - What we have to do is to keep on preaching God's word - Satan is the person who made the world as it is See Rev 12:12 and Rev 11:18
The Watchtower claims to be a Prophet of God. WATCHTOWER, APRIL 1, 1972.
The WT falsely prophesied about 1975. The Bible tells us how to test a prophet.
Deut 18:21-22 You may say to yourself, How can we recognize a message the Lord has not spoken? When a prophet speaks in the Lords name, and the message does not come true or is not fulfilled, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Do not be afraid of him.
Sheila................What kind of credibilty did Noah have back then? Did he have scriptural proof of the impending flood? Did he have some godly powers to exhibit to prove him worthy of people changing their lives?
THINK ABOUT IT:
Your crazy neighbor starts building a huge fireproof enclosure in his back yard..........he tells you that God told him to build it, and that you and everyone else better help him build it or they will die when fire falls from the sky "soon".
@00sheilagreasley100 as a former jw i have to ask history speaks for its self so does the bible, why would you follow a oraganzation founded on false prophcies
Do you disagree that the Watchtower Society picked several dates for Armageddon in the past? You're too young to have seen the scary effect of the 1975 Armageddon prediction on those of us who were young then.
Other religions have used scary images of hellfire to keep their people in line. The Watchtower leaders have used frightening images of Armageddon to do much the same thing.
That is an honest assessment of things, and isn't ridiculous - you have every right to disagree.
Thanks for sharing your research on the pagan origins of Christmas.
The origins of customs shouldn't matter though, it's what meaning people give them today. Your Awake magazine said that regarding a custom.
Awake 9/22/2003, p. 24: "A main concern is, not what the practice meant hundreds of years ago, but how it is viewed today in your area. Understandably, opinions may vary from one place to another. Hence, it is wise to avoid turning such matters into big issues." Do you agree?
its more of a mental issue they seem to me mostly damaged in some way so they would not even understand they are false prophets when they know they are, and even when it is showed to them.
i was talking more about the conditions on this planet,,, if you look around ,, we are in serious trouble... if god does not exist and the bible is wrong,,, just the way things are going ,, what do think?? 10,20,30 years.. if? if you had a chair and you where sitting on the moon looking at this world,, it would scare the shit right out of you.. and if you see an 600lb man with reindeer ,, i what what ever your smoking..
The folklore of Saint Nicolas has many parallels with Germanic mythology, in particular with the god Odin. These include the beard, hat and spear (nowadays a staff) and the cloth bag held by the servants to capture naughty children. Both Saint Nicolas and Odin ride white horses that can fly through the air; the white eight-legged steed of Odin is named Sleipnir
Right on Goodwindc !! you are soo correct. I wish the JW's would listen to the bible when it reads: "test the spirits" - they really need to test the spirit of the watchtower by simply finding out what the enemies of the watchtower say and then ask themselves if the enemies are correct. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with what they find out. If not now then after they die.
The JW organization would like you to believe that Christendom is about Santa Claus and Easter bunnies but they are again sadly wrong. Christmas is celebrated by Christians to rejoice in the birth of Christ just as God commanded his angels to do (Luke 2:13-14). And it's interesting that Christians are never commanded to celebrate it but the Watchtower forbids their followers to do so. Doesn't that make the organization a Pharisee style religion that makes rules that are not from God?
i guess it is better to let your kids know that there is a 800lb.man in the sky flying around with reindeer. and little esther bunnies.. the reality is that the things being taught in the witness organization , is really going on.... look around you pal,, what do you see ,, bunnies,,?
"he reality is that the things being taught in the witness organization , is really going on.... look around you pal,, what do you see ,"
Okay, the JW's see pretend angels directing their witness work. They see God whispering in the ear of their governing body, leading them first to one doctrine and then to a wildly different interpretation of the same thing. They see demons everywhere, in churches, in garage sales for goodness sake. They think when something bad happens it's always the Devil.
Witnesses have a very high scriptural standard of morality but I have never heard a Witness explain the rampant allowance of child abuse in its ranks. Hypocrisy is one of the most detestable sins.
No dont let your pride keep you from learning the truth. This takes into account that it is righteous on God's part to repay tribulation to those who make tribulation for you, but, to you who suffer tribulation, relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels in a flaming fire, as he brings vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey the good news about our Lord Jesus. 2Thessalonians 1:6-8 THATS IN THE BIBLE.. THE END.
you are sad and sick people bashers worry about your own wordly lives and leave the witnesses alone they at least live their faith everyday what about you what do you do
I did not see any people bashing. I only saw and heard Watchtower material.
Why does WT claim that they are the way when Jesus said that He is the way? Why does WT claim that only they have the truth when Jesus said that He is the truth? Why does WT claim that we must be associated with the WT to have eternal life when Jesus said that He is the life?
JOHN 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Isn't it God who judges? Yet you are calling people you have never met "sick" and "worldly". A sure barrier to Truth is to assume you already have it. Dont' let your pride keep you from Truth. You should really examine what you are being taught. Didn't God warn us against trusting in men?
A Jehovah Witness Is a psychopath. for advanced members they say yes all who are not jehovah witnesses will be destroyed at Armageddon. For new people that they are trying to work into the cult by romancing them with their two faced fake phony friendship that they offer, they say o no we do not believe all who are not jehovah witnesses will be destroyed by jehovah. the psychiatrist awaits.
Wow i remember all these Fu*ked images as a child. Over 20 years as a JW & they fu*ked up allot of children. The congregation we went to back in the day, 85% of the kids are really fu*ked up now in some way. My mother is still one but, hay thats what she feels helps her, shes totally happy with the JW's. As for me that shit is a Cult in every way from top to bottom. Its all a Boogie Man smoke screen .
Just think about this! The organization prints magazines and the common Jw buys them! So the organization has a steady stream of income every week! If the Jw does not sell his or her copies, oh well, they just throw the magazines away or give them away! Same is true for all books and bibles the common jw pays for them wether or not they sell them.
Most jw's buy at least 10 magazines per month bc that is the goal the organization has set for each jw!!
I was raised a JW and these pics are all too familiar! They start very early instilling fear into the minds of their children. Even the adults study these publications and are subtly being brainwashed that they are in jeopardy of dying with "the world" at any time! Too make it worse they view videos like this as "persecution" to further justify their believing they are the only true Christians. Dangerous to them and especially their children who grow up, leave the JWs & face harsh shunning!
I and other JW children would talk about these stupid magazines! We all had nightmares about the end of the world and worried if we would make it into the New World!
How funny bc every JW kid I ever knew was out there partying and having orgies. Yet, we would put on our ties and sell our magazines!
Wow! It seems unbelieveable but I was once a JW! Today I laugh about this but back then it was serious stuff!
Yes! What a nightmare! Sadly...there are so many JW children going through the same things we did. My daughter goes to school with JW kids who are on antidepressants and do not act normal. I feel so bad for them because I understand what they are going through...probably even worse for this newer generation of JW kids!
In my day we, the youth, partied and had great old time when we were by ourselves.
We kind of knew it was all crap!
My foster parents sold their businesses and went to Central America to take the "TRUTH" to the people before 1975 came, they were there for 2 years and left in 1976 when the end did not come! They lost everything and ended up drunks and divorced!
After all we have seen like passenger aircraft crashing into the World Trade Center Twin Towers, the planes should have crashed into the Watch Tower instead! What JWs did to our people is unforgiveable, especially towards children!
I had a friend who was a painter (construction) and he decided not to go back to the kingdom hall. His brothers and sisters attempted to kidnap him and take him to a psych to straighten him up!!! They were almost arrested when the psych realized what had happened!
Yes! They are taught that they are going to live forever and everyone in "the world" is going to die. An "us versus them" mentality causes them to focus on loving their own 'spiritual family' and hating any and everything pertaining to the world. They dwell on the negativity while expecting 'Jehovah' to fix everything in the world. They claim to 'love' their fellowman by going door to door to preach...but are also told to HATE what is bad...which is how they view 'the world'....bad!
Did you notice that huge turd placed on top of those "Watch Tower" magazines? And what does Charles Sunutko mean by "antagonists"? Why were the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center destroyed? I think that it is Jehovah's Witnesses "Watch Tower" that should have been destroyed generations ago!
It sounds more like he's talking about satan than jesus. This 'religion' is just ridiculous. The JW's are the ones who won't make it to heaven. I'd be worried if I were THEM!

@anna1960schild well be careful because other faiths teach you will burn in a torment of hell for all eternity. now that is fear!

JW's will not and cannot answer the 1975 question, or any of the false prophesies. Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers. that is EXACTLY what JW's are. they do not follow the gospel. They monopolize it.
originalcountrysongs 2 years ago
Two points for your consideration:
It was scary.
cooper79jeffr 2 years ago

(John 10:9-10).
goodwindc 2 years ago
@goodwindc Ok, so you are saying that JW's listen to man more than God because of the Watchtower? Let me ask you this, how was the bible written? By God himself? NO, it was written by MEN inspired by GOD. It is the same thing with the JW's literature. I think you may want to put your efforts towards something else, you obviously don't know much about what JW's really believe, you just follow the ignorant train of JW haters. But if thats what you like to do........
TheOriginalTwiz 1 year ago
@TheOriginalTwiz "Ignorant train of JW haters?" Well, get this. I have seen first hand the brainwashing mind-control tactics of the Watchtower Society. It is sickening. As for inspiration - the Bible writings are not inspired by anything other than the wishful-thinking delusions of ancient nomad lunatics. They had a control-freak agenda then, just as the modern Bible thumpers do today.

When Noah had to preach his message from God to tell the Nations around him that they were going to be destroyed by Jehovah - Did they listen - Did they laugh at Noah - So as one of Jehovah;s servants on earth today i do not wonder that you are criticising us - For just as in the days of Noah so shall it be in the end - People will laugh and scoff at you - Do not be dismayed you servants of the Most High, Stand firm and take your stand against Satan and those whom he has anointed

what you dont understand sheila is that many young children including myself were traumatized by some of these things evrytime i heard a plain when i was younger i thought it was the end and was afraid i couldnt live my life because my life revolved around armaggedon i as a young man needed to live my life not just thinking about ohh im might not make it at my young age i havent been baptized. gods love is his greatest quality and tthe witnesses made him look bad why would he judge us so much
KOKID83 2 years ago
Hi KOKID83 - I understand how you feel - But you see Jehovah is not somebody who makes children scared - Now the 1975 issue is something that most witnesses will not forget because they gave a time which was not true but so did Peter in the Bible who felt that Christ was going tocome in Kingdom power but was corrected by Jesus - Nobody knows the time or the hour - What we have to do is to keep on preaching God's word - Satan is the person who made the world as it is See Rev 12:12 and Rev 11:18
00sheilagreasley100 2 years ago 2

Elizabeth,
Do you disagree that the Watchtower Society picked several dates for Armageddon in the past? You're too young to have seen the scary effect of the 1975 Armageddon prediction on those of us who were young then.
Other religions have used scary images of hellfire to keep their people in line. The Watchtower leaders have used frightening images of Armageddon to do much the same thing.
That is an honest assessment of things, and isn't ridiculous - you have every right to disagree.

Rock9711,
Thanks for sharing your research on the pagan origins of Christmas.

The folklore of Saint Nicolas has many parallels with Germanic mythology, in particular with the god Odin. These include the beard, hat and spear (nowadays a staff) and the cloth bag held by the servants to capture naughty children. Both Saint Nicolas and Odin ride white horses that can fly through the air; the white eight-legged steed of Odin is named Sleipnir
rock9711 2 years ago
Right on Goodwindc !! you are soo correct. I wish the JW's would listen to the bible when it reads: "test the spirits" - they really need to test the spirit of the watchtower by simply finding out what the enemies of the watchtower say and then ask themselves if the enemies are correct. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised with what they find out. If not now then after they die.
classicaldale 2 years ago
The JW organization would like you to believe that Christendom is about Santa Claus and Easter bunnies but they are again sadly wrong. Christmas is celebrated by Christians to rejoice in the birth of Christ just as God commanded his angels to do (Luke 2:13-14). And it's interesting that Christians are never commanded to celebrate it but the Watchtower forbids their followers to do so. Doesn't that make the organization a Pharisee style religion that makes rules that are not from God?
goodwindc 2 years ago
i guess it is better to let your kids know that there is a 800lb.man in the sky flying around with reindeer. and little esther bunnies.. the reality is that the things being taught in the witness organization , is really going on.... look around you pal,, what do you see ,, bunnies,,?
rock9711 2 years ago

THE END.

believer1965 3 years ago

Its all a Boogie Man smoke screen .
musicjay101 3 years ago
Just think about this! The organization prints magazines and the common Jw buys them! So the organization has a steady stream of income every week! If the Jw does not sell his or her copies, oh well, they just throw the magazines away or give them away! Same is true for all books and bibles the common jw pays for them wether or not they sell them.
Most jw's buy at least 10 magazines per month bc that is the goal the organization has set for each jw!!
Wow! What a business!!
legalrule 3 years ago
I was raised a JW and these pics are all too familiar! They start very early instilling fear into the minds of their children. Even the adults study these publications and are subtly being brainwashed that they are in jeopardy of dying with "the world" at any time! Too make it worse they view videos like this as "persecution" to further justify their believing they are the only true Christians. Dangerous to them and especially their children who grow up, leave the JWs & face harsh shunning!
um4real 3 years ago 2
I and other JW children would talk about these stupid magazines! We all had nightmares about the end of the world and worried if we would make it into the New World!
How funny bc every JW kid I ever knew was out there partying and having orgies. Yet, we would put on our ties and sell our magazines!
Wow! It seems unbelieveable but I was once a JW! Today I laugh about this but back then it was serious stuff!
legalrule 3 years ago
Yes! What a nightmare! Sadly...there are so many JW children going through the same things we did. My daughter goes to school with JW kids who are on antidepressants and do not act normal. I feel so bad for them because I understand what they are going through...probably even worse for this newer generation of JW kids!
um4real 3 years ago
I agree with you!
That is what JW's are all about!
legalrule 3 years ago
After all we have seen like passenger aircraft crashing into the World Trade Center Twin Towers, the planes should have crashed into the Watch Tower instead! What JWs did to our people is unforgiveable, especially towards children!

I had a friend who was a painter (construction) and he decided not to go back to the kingdom hall. His brothers and sisters attempted to kidnap him and take him to a psych to straighten him up!!! They were almost arrested when the psych realized what had happened!
Crazy people!!!

Do Jehova's Witnesses (or best called, sicknesses) hate the world THIS MUCH in general?
AAVista 3 years ago
YES!!!
legalrule 3 years ago
They claim to 'love' their fellowman by going door to door to preach...but are also told to HATE what is bad...which is how they view 'the world'....bad!
um4real 3 years ago
Did you notice that huge turd placed on top of those "Watch Tower" magazines? And what does Charles Sunutko mean by "antagonists"? Why were the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center destroyed? I think that it is Jehovah's Witnesses "Watch Tower" that should have been destroyed generations ago!

It sounds more like he's talking about satan than jesus. This 'religion' is just ridiculous. The JW's are the ones who won't make it to heaven. I'd be worried if I were THEM!
